  1. Please explain what a "huge upside" is. How do YOU look at a player and say... huge upside or little or no upside ? I'm not an "expert", as you obviously are but I'm quite tired of undersized lineman and would prefer the big guy from LSU. Ayers is not a small lineman but this guy is big and seems to hold his weight nicely. Of course, he may not have the "upside" of the "moving up the boards as we speak" Mr. Ayers.
  2. That line is scary .. and I don't mean scary good. Trade down with someone , if possible, and draft Michael Oher and plug him in at LG.
  3. I missed the interview. Did he mention how he's been treating his Dad lately ?
  4. Agreed. That TE would be Jared Cook from South Carolina, not Pettigrew (under your scenario). He is a very fast receiver with good hands and would help in the passing game as he could be very tough to guard because of his speed .
  5. Todd Collins was second round disaster as well. (He may have been a third, not 100% sure on that) He was worse than Johnson... while he was on the Bills ----> but he does hold a mean clipboard.
  6. You are joking about the GOOD depth, right ?
  7. He reminds me of a big Corey Moore. Too risky for an undersized 20 year old. The Bills need help now, not in four years when he (maybe) develops and then.... becomes a free agent.
  8. Oh I don't know. Maybe because other than Josh Reed, none of them can get open..... just a hunch
  9. Why upgrade a group that, other than Josh Reed, CAN'T get open. It's either the play-calling or the talent. It's probably both.
  10. That's a different debate. If you are asking which QB you would rather have, as this topic is all about, it certainly doesn't matter when you were drafted.
  11. I would respectfully disagree. Once you are drafted and in camp it matters not what position you were drafted in.
  12. I think we still have a very precarious situation, even with a Simmons signing. I would still take a center in the top three rounds, (If a quality guy is still there) and if a big body survives to pick 11, I would nab him as well (unlikely). even with a healthy Simmons, this isn't a line that couldn't be upgraded by young , superior talent.
  13. Revenge !? The Bills moved up in the draft to get him. Who was the retard again?
  14. Geez, I dont know either. And why would any self-respecting FAN have his picture taken with Turk Schonert and use it for his avatar ???
  15. Better than.. Chris Ellis ?(the Sack Man!!)
  16. Would rather have a pass rusher so that McKelvin and co. could intercept a few since they wouldn't have to cover a guy for 6-7 seconds.
  17. I would like to avoid M. Johnson and E. Brown (who is not on your list) if at all possible. Otherwise, would be happy with any of the rest.
  18. C'mon boys..... Now each of you say something nice about the other.... Who wants to be a big boy and go first !!
  19. On the other hand, they may have Andre Smith #1 on their board, so this combine was outstanding. WE really have no idea what the people making the picks for the Bills are thinking. Don't get too down.
  20. And picking high in the first round. Coincidence...... I think not
  21. He did it well for four years in college and was a savage rushing the passer......... best player in the draft; when we look back... as stated above.
  22. You are correct , However the receivers still need to get open. How many times have you seen the QB's looking, looking, and other than occasionally Josh Reed, the WR's are smothered. Whether that's talent or coaching (my opinion) you can't just throw the ball. Not to say your argument is false, just saying that maybe some clever coaching and we could see what our teams potential could be.
  23. Or the coaching. If he went to New England and Cassel to Buffalo .... you just never know who might be the hot ticket. Coaching isn't everything in the NFL...it's more than that
  24. Sorry, it's late, I'm at work and was being a little sarcastic with all this talk about Trent Edwards lately. But I'm sure he said what they all say, he is working hard, thinks he can help a team and doesn't have a preference where he wants to play; just wants a chance. For once I'd love to see a Draftee, when asked say, "Well, to tell you the truth, I grew up hating the Cowboys and if they draft me I think I'll sell insurance instead". That would be refreshing.
