  1. I would only be happier if we had drafted M. Oher instead of that stat machine from Penn St. Watch the Rose Bowl as A.M. gets schooled all afternoon and see how happy you are that the 11th pick was used on him.
  2. I trust this is sarcasm. Although I hdid hear a rumor that Maybin is trying to be reinstated in DIV 1AA. Georgetown may be his destination as there top DE graduated last year..... Sorry no link
  3. This has got to be the most ridiculously ignorant post I've read this year. None of those had NEAR the talent that Joe Cribbs displayed while in Buffalo. Sometimes it's better not to post than to show that you have no idea what you are talking about
  4. That is one sorry excuse for a list
  5. No, but more impressive than Syracuse, Temple, and Syracuse ----> alot more. Unfortunately, they are not on the (Bills)schedule this year, although Akron, Temple, Syracuse, and Eastern Illinois somehow found their way back onto those dreaded Nittany Lions schedule. I hope Maybin is an All-pro and the next Bruce Smith. But this team has been a joke for a decade so excuse me for not having faith in a team that historically, continues to take players before they are projected. They just don't have the resumee to justify having faith in a guy that racked his totals for one year against inferior competition. I was at the Rose Bowl and would encourage anyone to get a tape and watch how a semi-pro team treated Maybin and his "warriors"like a hot knife through butter. I was more in disagreement with using any stats to show that Maybin was a better player (In college)than Orakpo. Finally, my problem was in them not taking Michael Oher. But, I guess that's why I'm not a GM and the Bills are playoff bound every decade or so.
  6. We have a winner. Biggest mistake of the draft
  7. Five of Maybin's 12 sacks were against Coastal Carolina, Temple, and Syracuse and you REALLY want to diss Orakpo's stats and competition ?????????????????????????????
  8. Agree... but the Bills defense doesn't stop many teams on third down and gets few sacks/big plays so the "3" better players will , unfortunately, be on the sidelines watching to the other team move down the field... unless something changes
  9. My only real beef with the draft.... Michael Oher seemed too perfect for the Bills.. even @ #11. I do think you will be happy with the rookie O-Linemen, and if the FA Center is a bust then maybe Wood becomes the starting Center. Still too many holes on Defense but they should score more(and hold on to the ball longer).
  10. I'm sure you meant Oregon, not Oregon St.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if he is asked to leave some time DURING the season.
  12. Yes they can. Absolutely. But 31 teams weren't in love with him enough to draft him, so I guess what I'm saying he will probably be safe on the PS, that is if he has enough talent to make it their. So worrying about an undrafted player being taken off our PS seems to be more of an imagined concern than a real one. That's all.
  13. Disagree. If he is great, he won't be on the practice squad. If he goes on the PS other teams will be wondering why a team in need of OL help put him on the practice squad. Most teams are too busy trying to keep their own in Week 1 and get ready for the season opener. Finally, if he is a player, but can't make the roster... then that's a good thing for our team.
  14. He may not start Day 1 but by Sept. of 2011 I think we'll be glad we have a guy that makes GAME changing plays,... along with McKelvin
  15. that is what we have camp and cutdowns etc. etc for. Based on college stats .... an upgrade over everyone except Stroud. I doubt he can resurrect it ( seriously doubt it) but we only need 53 players if we ALREADY know who is better than whom. I would take him over McCargo, and possibly Johnson if he can resurrect a waste of a good talent. He was a MUCH better player than Williams in college and is bigger and more athletic so he could cause a little double team action; which in turn makes every defender better. Please don't misunderstand, if he is on our roster I would be VERY surprised but that would be a testament to him and probably an accusation about the talent on the payroll at this time.
  16. NOT for more most teams but looking at this roster, I think he has a shot, and as far as busts go, he did have a better college career than any DL on the roster other than Stroud (yes, even better than my namesake K. Williams) I would say the odds are very poor but DEFINETLY worth giving him a shot.
  17. Hated teams: 1. Dallas Cowboys 2. Oakland Raiders 3. Miami Dolphins Hated Players: 1. Michael Irvin 2. George Atkinson 3, Terrell Owens 4. Bryan Cox 5. Doug Flutie Hated Coaches/owners: 1. Jimmy Johnson/Jerry Jones 2. Bill Belichick 3. Al Davis
  18. I agree with you about DT but it doesn't appear there was much out there and instead they have gotten an outstanding three-year DB and have bolstered the OL and TE. Not crazy about Maybin (to say the least) but hope I am way wrong and he and Byrd bring some life to a dismal defense
  19. That something needs a reality check... Couldn't disagree with you more. Byrd will be competing with McKelvin to be our best DB within 12 to 24 months. Brown is someone who will have to change positions to have an impact and was a good/great player in an inferior, yet still overrated conference.
  20. What NFL scouts ? LINK ??? Obviously scouts without much influence in the selection process. That being said, he did pick the right team to go to. If he were to pan out you could be looking at OL as a position of strength for years to come ------------> Levitre, Wood, Bell, possibly D. Bell, Butler etc. 2010 could be a VERY good year if these guys develop.
  21. In the 'big' 10. and against Coastal Carolina and Temple. Getting past the OL in the NFL is really the issue though isn't it ?
  22. 1. Travis McCall TE Alabama 6'2" 260 2. Danny Urrego P Portland St 5'11" 190 3. Joel Bell OT Furman 6'8" 308 4. David Lindquist DT Illinois 6'3" 293 As Per BillsDaily
