I still have the USC Stanford game tivoed. He does make a few on Martin but there were many plays where he was just going 3/4 speed and didn't seem to have the fire in his belly. And this was their biggest game of the year. Let's not forget that Martin had turned his ankle early on in this game and came out for a couple of series until they could get some meds in him and tape him up. To me this guy is too risky for what we are wanting him to do. At least not @ #10.

I happen to agree with all you said. This place would go nuts if we took him. They would rather have us take a pass rusher.... who may not be a pass rusher instead of a guy opening up gaping holes for Spiller to break looose for some long runs. Mercilus will be taken out of the game by any T that can move. He's not going to out muscle him. I do like Ingram.... only because of his great love and passion for the game. You can see it any set of highlights. I just don't want Coples,Brockers or Mercilus. And yes I would be jazzed that we would have a guy who will be the best interior lineman in the league by year 3. !!!! Come Buddy take an elite player !!!

I completely disagree. If you take Stevie off the roster you have exactly ZERO quality receivers on this team.

I doubt there is one team that has Mercilus rated higher than Ingram. But if there is one then it wouldn't surprise me if it's the team that has the longest current playoff drought. If we take Whitney Mercilus and any of the following are on the board (Courtney Upshaw,Melvin Ingram, Jonathan Martin, David DeCastro,Riley Reiff , Kendall Wright or EVEN Trent Richardson) I will be highly sick at my stomach.. the way I was on draft days gone by when we took Maybin and Whitner.

If were able to grab a DE/OL/TE/WR with our first four selections I wouldn't mid at all picking up Isaiah Pead RB from Cincinnati with our second 4th round pick. Depends on what happens with Jackson but we have no depth right now. Pead may not be there that late, however. With 9 picks we could go DE/OL/TE/WR/CB/OLB/QB and still have two picks to double up on d'backs or another postion along with picking up a back that can get the third and two for us. But not early on, will agree with you guys there.

If the Dolphis take Ingram then I say shock'em all and take Tannehill Then go Vinny Curry in rd. 2

If they take Mercilus instead of Ingram I'll have that same sick feeling I had when they took Whitner instead of Ngata and when they took Maybin over Orakpo. But, alas I think the Dolphis are going to scoop Ingram up @ #8 me thinks

That is really not a bad call. I could see him opening up some big holes for Spiller and Jackson next year. There really is no weakness to him other than position. I really like the idea of drafting the best "Football player" out there. Not sure he will be the top guy @ #10 but I think Martin,Reiff and DeCastro are more of a sure thing than some of these defensive guys. The difference between drafting a Courtney Upshaw/Nick Perry/Quinton Coples vs. picking a Vinny Curry in round 2 may not be as great as picking Martin,Reiff,DeCastro vs. the linemen available in round 2.

I would be very happy with Martin/Ingram. Why not pick a guy who actually excelled at his craft ? But we'll fall in love with Mercilus or Brockers at the combine and pick one of them. ... i know, I know. Mercilus made lots of play but Ingram IMO is the far superior "football player ". In fact, pretty much anyone on that list would make me happy other than Mercilus. All things being equal go SEC. Mercilus or Brockers (who isn't on your list) would leave me with that sick empty feeling I had when we took Whitner and Maybin. It was like opening up your first Christmas present and finding a turd under the wrapper.

Man, who started this Brockers Kool-Aid? The Bills need pass rush ability and he has virtually no ability, yet. He's a redshirt soph. that will probably come in to his own about the time he becomes a free-agent. If you can't get a pass rusher @ #10 then take either Mike Adams, Jonathan Martin, Kendall Wright,Michael Floyd, Courtney Upshaw or Luke Kuelchy and then take a chance on a Vinny Curry in round 2. Brockers and Nick Perry are myths that need to be disposed of before someone @ 2BillsDrive starts believing them.

Probably not but since its' been awhile since the last appearance by our team , there is pretty good reason to complain. But you apologists keep on mocking those who criticize this bumbling franchise. You don't get it. He IS one of the holes on defense.
