if you were Buddy who would you pick?
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to fansince88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The odd confusion is.. everyone passed ? RGIII,, Andrew Luck Matt Kalil, Justin Blackmon, Morris Claiborne in that order. -
+1 for your first paragraph. Respectfully, disagree with the second. I think there are 20 receivers that look like pro material that you can get later on. Heck, Danny Coale from VaTech and T.Y. Hilton from Fla. Int'l have a decent chance of having better careers than Floyd. But if anyone watched the combine, after the first few linemen this group is really unathletic, as far as footwork goes. So I would lean towards a lineman in That respect, 'cuz the good ones may all be gone after pick #41. Buddy might blow us away and take Janoris Jenkins or Dre kirkpatrick. That's what makes the draft so exciting and why I have flown from So Cal. five times to see it. Should be tension filled once those picks start rolling in.

Not the biggest need but I think he will be by far the best player on the board, if he makes it to #10. Just how important is a great pulling guard who will start Day 1 vs. a linebacker/cornerback/wide receiver ? That is the question. But the draft doesn't end after pick #10. Looking forward to this draft with Buddy keeping the team pretty much intact by signing our own. Sooooo if you don't have an original topic... don't post ? Please explain the rules . The guy has 7 posts. He/she is not a lifer look some.

Buddy's Plan for Left Tackle
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to Owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reason is DeCastro is an enormous upgrade over Urbik. I don't think that's the route they go but DeCastro blows holes open.. every team wants that. -
As some of you know me, you know I coached 5 years in high school and 12 years at the JC level. Two years ago we had over 100 guys on the team and almost all of them had some talent but being at the JC level there are way more issues with size, speed, and especially character. There is pressure to pick the right guys even at that level. You are basically scouting and watching film albeit at a much smaller scale but some of you guys don't really understand.. I am NOT NEARLY qualified to be a scout at the pro level but I know several that do/have and you guys really don't know what u are talking about if you think you have the skill set to do what these guys do. If you showed up @Texas A&M's practice and went over to the linemen what exactly would you be looking for ,hmmm? My son is coaching and scouting JC.HS player for a FCS Div. achool and he is looking at tape, cutting tape about 12-16 hours a day EVERYDAY Bottom line yeah teams mke big mistakes and the Bills have made plenty and it's great that we share our opinionsbut if you have a skilled type job then i can't do yours and you can'd do Buddy's.

My 2012 NFL Mock Draft v.1
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to Beastly Dareus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice effort but I'd have to say "Air ball". Kalil is going third. They should fire the GM if he doesn't. If he doesn't go 3 he's going 4. -
PFT 2012 mock draft, take one
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Martin has a badly sprained ankle that day, in case the facts are of any interest. He came out twice but came back in middle of third when the other OT was getting beaten. Agreed 100 % . I think he's as overrated as Notre Dame is every preseason. I'll pass -
PFT 2012 mock draft, take one

I will agree with you on Floyd. I just don't get the hype. Great combine ..... who cares, not a top 10 talent, no way. -
PFT 2012 mock draft, take one
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really, I'm watching the combine on my DVR and Reiff showed great footwork on the drills. Got the combine... everyday still recorded. What drill looked bad cuz the drill I'm looking at it and he looks real smooth ? -
Did we trade Carrington and Troup for Arrington and Troupe. Missed that with all the free agent frenzy going on. Link ?? +1. In fact, I remember Buddy raving about Troup when he was drafted..... Carrington was drafted a round later

Luke Kuechly at 10
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You, actually have a draft board ? Nice Ingram is still a stud. who can play standing up. I don't think we would take him now, however. This may put CB back into play(not my choice) if we don't go with LT. -
My thoughts on our first 3 picks
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've got this bad feeling we are going to take Mike Adams LT from Ohio St. It's that same acidy feeling in my stomach I got right after we drafted Whitner and Maybin. I don't know it it's a."Don't draft the Big 10" sickly feeling or the "Why'd you take the lower first round talent with the high first round pick" acidy feeling. Either way it's not a good feeling physidaly or mentally. -
+1. What a novel approach. Kind of like that Josh Robinson kid fron Central Florida. Great workout and super fast but was only an average football player. I'm sure the Raiders would take him if Al Davis was still around. Not saying this guy is average .. just saying to use the measurables to try and prove a point is very little proof to me. Based on that clip, I would agree with you about LK .He Seemed a completely little lost in pass coverage. But that is a small sampling size.

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would you take a guy in the 4th or 5th round if you're not sure he's even a career backup ?? And if anybody does not have the "IT" factor, it's the guy we have now. I would love to take a chance on him or somebody. We know what we've got in Fitzpatrick ... and it "aint so good"... and it aint "IT" -
The old strawman argument. Nobody ever said that or insuated that. What a bad post. Too bad so many Bills fans have become so desensitized to losing and are happy with mediocrity.

+100 % Disagree 100 % QB and lack of pass rush kept us from progressing. The Bills are better than 6-10 but not close to a contender with a turnover machine behind center AND that's why there are do many" Fitz sucks !!" topics. If they don't draft Tannehil, then B.J. Coleman looks like a guy with great potential and you could get him in the middle rounds. He, like most rookie QB's would need 2-3 years. Oh, and 5,000 to 1 is still better than 0 %, which what are chances of winning a Superbowl with this QB is.

Outside Linebackers
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. Neither one of them showed great change of direstion at the combine. Perry did great in the athletic speed drills. I still have all the combine shows Tivoed. Irvin would seem a better fit but I would love to see Dont'a Hightower in the middle rather than Sheppard. Another guy who looked real athletic for OLB was Bobby Wagner from Utah St. And Andre Branch from Clemson looked like more of a "change of direction" guy than Curry.... by far. But I imagine Branch will be long gone before pick #41. Curry looks like a rush the passer only type. I think Ronnell Lewis from Oklahoma would be a great pick up in round 2 if he makes it that far. Mean SOB. And Zach Brown looks great but doesn't seem to have great fundamentals. I like what Mayock said about him.. Great athlete, very fast but I'm waiting to see on tape that first strong sound fundamental tackle. Don't know if we should pick someone that still needs to learn how to play properly. -
My case for Michael Floyd
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to FavreDolla_Footlong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll go line. I think it's harder to get athletic big men than wideouts. Would much rather have Upshaw/Ingram/DeCastro/Martin/Reiff than this guy. Guys like T.Y. Hilton may have as good or better careers than Floyd and you can probably get him in round 5. There are 20-25 receivers that look like solid pro material but not so many good big men. don't waste the #10 on a wideout when the difference between 2 and 15 is small @ wideout and the difference between lineman 2-15 is meteoric. And I don't think that getting Mario Williams means we have solved our problem of pass rush. Ingram or even Upshaw or Hightower would really solidify the D-line/pass rush. -
I still say draft Melvin Ingram at 10

Loved Hansen. Hope we never forget how great he really was and how many times he ran down a play
