Price went in the second. Winfield went first in that draft. -
Mike Mayock: Blackmon vs Floyd
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+ 100 %. Those Hill bashers have to remember that they didn't throw the ball !!!! Floyd would have had Hill's stats if he played @ Georgia Tech. That being said, I would draft Floyd before Hill but neither one @ #10. In fact I would be much happier to get Juron Criner. I rewatched the combine on Tuesday and he was very impressive in and out of his cuts etc. Good hands and good size. Take him in the third he may be better than either one of these cats !! +1 Obviously Floyd is just a guy compared to Blackmon IMO.Fitzgerald to Crabtree type comparison. Football player to prima donna.... -
Spot on with that view of +/- of him. Way too many plays where he is just gliding around unlike a guy like Melvin Ingram who is fired up and making plays all around the field. I couldn't believe all the Perry love on this board several weeks ago on this board. Good prospect but now a top ten or even top 20 IMO. NICE POST !! What.... 52. but who's counting No hard feelings bro Go Bills !!

Kuechly, Floyd, or Gilmore
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A little too much "POZ" in him. He seems to get there in enough time to make A play but not THE play, if you know what I mean. -

Question about WR at #10
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to damaynman150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, IMO after Blackmon there is big dropoff. Floyd is one of 15-20 WR's that could make it in this league. After about 10-12 lineman the rest can't tie their shoes without falling over. Unless Blackmon falls to #10 I wouldn't go WR until later. Oh and by the way there are alot of receivers coming out who had iffy QB play not just Michael Floyd. I am hoping Miami takes him so I won't get ready to spew my lunch if we choose him. But I think Buddy is alot smarter than to choose him that high. Mom told you Not to ditch typing class !! Now look at you. -
Incredible argument ...my compliments to your debate teacher. If there was a punter ranked in the top 10 on the board then he would have to be a guy that averages 50+ yards and can place a beautiful pooch punt inside the 5/15 with regularity. Otherwise he wouldn't be rated in the top 10 !!! And then if that clear huge field position is enough for Buddy to say we need this guy then I would imagine he would take him.

Had the Bills signed Meachem...
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree although I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Adams is our guy. I've written several posts saying I don't want Adams. But watching the combine and the Senior Bowl ( I have both still on my DVR ), he looked pretty good. In fact, he and Cordy Glenn both looked pretty darn good in the drills. But I too like Hairston. I just think Martin from Stanford and Reiff from Iowa are a better players than Hairston. Also Adams (even though I don't like the Big 10) may have more overall ability than Hairston. Should be very interesting to see the direction Buddy goes. -

BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1. There may be 15-25 Meachem's in this draft but maybe only 5-7 pass rushers. Much happier with how things turned out. -
I agree. Buddy isn't stupid. He knows we need to contiune to upgrade at every position. To be satisified with mediocrity is strictly for losers. We need playmakers and A$$kickers, even on the O-line, people. It seems like the way Buddy has gone out of his way to not address the tackle position, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them pick a Cordy Glenn or Mike Adams @ #10. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised at any selection other than Trent Richardson in Round 1. I can't argue with that but I think Martin or Reiff would be a significant upgrade over Hairston, but you make a very good point.

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know you're just trying to rattle the Barbarian's cage but saying Tannehill will likely go undrafted is beyond sarcasm. Latest would be pick #42 (Miami). But I think he goes 8-25 in Round 1. Possibly #7 with a trade up. He should be the #3 QB off the board. Although I would prefer the Bills draft B.J. Coleman from Chattanooge who will probably last until round 4-5. I think he has almost as much talent as Tannehill. You definetly have some issues, Senator. A week away from MSNBC might make you feel a little happier with your life. Have a nice day !!! Go Bills !!!! We're getting closer People !!!!! -
I think they should have a playoff and the loser gets ther higher pick. Of course 8 teams had 8-8 records but with Denver in the playoffs, let's exclude them, sooooooo then we could either have a lose one and you're out playoff or simply do a round robin with all 7 teams. That would only take 7 weeks because each week one team would have a bye sooooo, then the team with the worst record gets the highest picks, and so on. Any ties after this AND they should use the tiebreaker already in place by the league. OR, just leave it how it is. The theory is the easier the schedule the worse team you really are, works for me.

Latest Drafttek Mock
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to LynchMob23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is now 10th, 41st and 71st since we move up one slotto 8th position in Round 3 and the Saints forfeited their second rounder. -
Notre Dame Pro Day
BillsCelticsAngelsBama replied to atlbillsfan1975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely !!! I'm sure Buddy will attend 9 "Pro" days because we have 9 picks in the draft. If he attends 10 "Pro" days then we are trading down in the first round. Are we two the only ones who understand this?? !!!!! -
Yep. goes by strength of schedule. The weaker the opponents you faced in 2011 records the higher you pick. The good thing is that teams with the same record rotate their position each round 1 by moving up until they are at the top and then rotating to the bottom. So Miami is 8th, Carolina 9th and we're 10th, but in round 2 Carolina is 8th, Buffalo 9th and Miami 10th and then of course, we're 8th in round 3 followed by Miami (9th) and Carolina 10th. So, at least if the Bills and dolphins are looking for QB's in round or 3 we would have the advantage unless they traded up.
