Look at the other threads, Gomer. Almost every analytical metric out there is saying that if Allen becomes a successful NFL QB, it'll be a miracle. But yeah, I'm going to listen to two guys who think how far Allen can throw the ball is relevant. I bet both of them thought losing a brilliant color man like Jon Gruden was a true loss for TV football fans everywhere.

And yes, I got the wrong "their" there. It happens when one is typing and not really caring what it is you are typing, because the other person is so far gone up his own azz that it won't matter what you say.

HU for rolls for a grammar/spelling throwdown? I'd kick your butt, Scooter. B-)

What does your list look like?

Pick #12 and like your list

  3. There is so much information in this report; I have this theory. First, The guy sending the post IS the "Snitch". There is just TOO much detailed information to be second hand. The second is that this poster has a desperate need to feel important and it's kind of sad. Third is that this is all true. If so the "Snitch" should never have a job in the NFL again and the "Snitches Snitch" is someone to never be trusted.

Mayfield will not fall to #12.  You need to read between the lines and connect data points.  I will go very slow.   #1) The NFL is a quarterback league.  Without a QB, you cannot could win  consistently.  2) We made the trades for draft capital.  It is not very often a team has two 1s, two 2s and two 3s.  We have 40 million in dead cap money and we are going all in for a QB this year, period.  Like it or not.  3) The Jets were in the same boat, they made the move, we should have.  4) The Patriots traded Cooks for more trade capital and are currently negotiating with the Browns for their #4.  They are looking for Brady's eventual replacement and they are great at identifying QBs  (Bledosoe, Brady, Jimmy, etc ) they are trading up. 5) Sources are reporting we are in talks with the Giants and Browns.  We are getting one of the top 4 QBs this year.  5) We would love Darnold but he is going to the browns.  6) Our top rated qb after that is Allen and then Mayfield. 7) If we cannot move up to #4 and those 4 qb are taken, we will draft a LB at 12 and Mason Rudoplh at 22.  That is their current plan.

    4) Don't forget Mallett, and Cassell

I'm with the crowd of not trading up but if a QB falls to them at 12 or 22, then take him. What if Indy decides to take a QB, especially if the Giants and Broncos don't take a QB ? I know Luck has a big contract but last I heard he hasn't begun throwing a football yet. Say the draft goes like this :

    Browns - Darnold

    Giants - Barkley

    Jets - Mayfield

    Browns - Chubb

    Broncos - Nelson

Rosen and Allen still on the board, still have 3 second round picks to fill other needs. Think they grab a QB ?

Just have a hard time thinking they would trade from 3 to 6 and then go QB, even under that scenario.

I wish you could debate me to prove your point. Or just *write up a summary of your opinions on why he wasn't a blithering idiot as a playcaller. Man, you'll show me!!

When you're caught just change the subject. Calling someone a blithering for doing something you're not capable of. is just not cool. Just defending my bretheren. I was called an idiot for throwing on 4,th and two when our only decent RB had got a high ankle sprain on the previous series. I'm hyper sensitive to calling out coaches I guess. Sorry for the sarcasm. 17 years in coaching and 7 in a wheelchair will do that. LOL

far as i can see he had 2 holds and one sack for 16 games last year.....i believe that to be ok, at least for me.

If watch them play and maybe it's just my background but it appears they were limited in certain areas with him at Center The guards do a lot of covering for him. According to FWIW  Bodine graded out as the 28th best center and also  according to PFF  was the NINTH best center in free agency. For a guy that is only 26, that's an indictment on his ability. If you want durability.... great. If you want ability.... IMO he is lacking tremendously.  Just coaching 9 of 17 years @ OL at the JC level does not make me an expert by any means. I just look at it differently and respect your opinion even if I disagree. I just want WR's, QB, OL and LB's that are good enough to compete this year.   Go Bills !!!!!!

Some of us are waking at 3AM every day to see if the Bills have further traded up. That hasn't occurred as yet, but a 10-ton hint to this part of "the process" was dropped yesterday when reports surfaced that the Bills' top evaluators would travel to USC to work out Sam Darnold this Friday. When I heard this from Mike Schopp, I was compelled to call to say that the Bills must know they can get to #1 or #2, or why would you spend valuable pre-draft time vetting a QB you've no chance of drafting. Mike agreed, as did morning host Jeremy White this morning. Howard Simon questions, though, how can the Bills get to 1 or 2 from 12? Well, here's a bold prediction:

    1. Browns select Josh Allen with the first pick.

    2. Browns trade the 4th pick to the Bills with a big price tag. We've all heard what that price might be (12, 22, 53, 65...hopefully not 2019 first rounder also).

    3. Bill trade the Giants the 4th pick, plus their remaining 2nd round pick (56) for the #2 pick.

    4. Bills select Sam Darnold with the second pick.

    5. Jets select one of the remaining QBs with the third pick.

    4. Giants either select Bradley Chubb with the fourth pick, or trade down a few slots with any QB hungry team, with the assurance that Chubb will be available at 5, 6, or 7...maybe further.

    We'll see.

That will save a lot of money on travel for the rookies. So trading five picks for our QB isn't that bad because Darnold was a linebacker in high school. Ohtani.. Darnold....

I want Mayfield/Rosen, 2 LBs and 2 OL in the draft. That is all.

Agree. My hoping is for at least seven picks (We currently have nine, I believe)...... And I have gone back and forth with six QB's over the last few weeks and I really like Darnold, Allen, and Rudolph as people and I don't care for Rosen or Mayfield, as people..... but they are the two that the Bills must be targeting OR just stay put.

bodine started every game in his 4 years from being drafted by cincy. wood was a 9 yr. vet.....equal

     newhouse.....much better than mills

miller...we all saw his potential, but due to personal tragedies and stupid line play changes, he got put away....bring him back.

groy can play all 3 inside spots and be the vet presence on either side of center.

we have connor mcdermott who is not a pipsqueek and we can draft a couple of line guys. we may be better off with having to retool or shuffle this line. i think this was a blessing in disguise going into the future.

Bodine is horrible. But guess you'll see in the fall if we don't upgrade.  God help the QB if he starts

Bodine and Newhouse were bottom of the barrel fa's, hardly any linemen ranked lower. If either of those guys are starting it is not good.

Wood was overrated but Bodine is not an upgrade. He was the weak link in Cinci.

Y'know, I was very much not a fan of the Ducasse signing (it's rare i rail against a player, but i railed against him), but he played perfectly fine last year. I know PFF is not the be all and end all, but...

    https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/vladimir-ducasse/5586

There was a lot of clamor here for Groy to start but now that he might be the starter, he clearly sucks. Miller played well in his second season and is young, so the jury's out. Bodine played well in 2016 like Miller, but is probably below average as you said, but I kinda liked the signing.

    Mills ... I got nothing.

I wouldn't say shambles; it's more of a question mark, and considering there's still a lot of time in the off-season and still some FAs out there and some to come, it can be fixed.

Admittedly, though, it would have been nice to not have Wood and Cogs retire right before we potentially start a rookie, but it might not be a disaster.

I am a huge follower of college football ( coached 17 years at Junior college level and son is coaching in the FCS right now) and I really like James Daniels, Will Hernandez and Isaiah Wynn as options at pick #22. There are some good guards availability in rounds 2 & 3 but these guys are superior IMO
