  1. He's one of my all-time favorite Ducks - I LOVE his playmaking abilities, energy and nose for the ball, and not just because he says some funny schit: Byrd, like most players, wants to raise his playmaking skills to another level, but believes the best way to accomplish that at this point in his career is in the film room. “I always want to continue to do what I do, get my hands on balls,” he said. “I want to score when I get interceptions. I want to get more turnovers and punch the ball out, but I think the mental part of the game is big. Anytime you start progressing the thing that separates you is just anticipation and just the mental part of the game. That can develop along with the physical stuff, but the mental game is what takes you over (the top).”
  2. With all due respect, Promo (and there is a lot due - 16,486 posts - c'mon, man!)... Not everyone can get to every home game. I live in Horseheads (one hour closer than Bingo) and I work in Ithaca. Last thing I wanna do 7-8 Sundays per fall and winter is get behind the wheel, or in the backseat and spend another six hours on the road (albeit for a GREAT gameday experience at The Ralph). And we have an awesome group of friends who gather to watch EVERY game in Corning (I know, yet another 20 minutes closer). That's why there are chartered and unchartered (like ours) Bills Backers groups. But God bless ya, you're a road warrior! I try to get to a game per season. The other 7 games, they can put someone else's fanny in one of the 73,000. I still do a lot to support our team with my heart, and my wallet by spending PLENTY on officially licensed merchandise and Blues. We have the best fans in the NFL, you'll never convince me otherwise! GO BILLS! Hey, that was my 34th post! Thurman!!! Next up, Carwell Gardner!
  3. And his birthday is 4/20. Just sayin'... I mean, so the draft is six days after his b-day. What better gift could a guy get than becoming a Buffalo Bill? If he is the coverage linebacker some say he will be, can't be a bad pick at 10. Me likey.
  4. Not with material like that. I keed, I keed. You're one of my all-time favorite posters! I love how that building in the background brings out the blue in your Bills t-shirt!
  5. I think they're curled up in the fecal position. ('Cause they've played like schitt!)
  6. In the Game Room at my bud's house in Corning. Or as I like to call it, "Ralph Wilson Stadium Southeast." Wearing my Super Bowl XXV throwback Thurman (shouldabeen MVP). Blues and a cigar or two. Running go routes at halftime with the Nerf. Go Bills!!!
  7. I dunno... He bailed on us at a signing at the Arnot Mall in Horseheads. I got Tony Driver's autograph instead. I forgave Big Pat. Shoulda paid him and kept him back then! But now? Isn't that taking sentimentality and recycling a little far?
  8. To borrow from John Valby, "I just love the way Ryan Fitzpatrick."
  9. If this game is important enough to black out, it's important enough to win. Make the conversion.
  10. (Read this in your best Andy Rooney impersonation voice...) J'ever notice how much Colin Cowherd sounds like Andy Rooney? They're really the same person, you know.
  11. Can Green hear the Urbik footsteps?
  12. I hate to say it, but I think he's felt that target on his head since October 5, 2008 (Cardinals game).
  13. That's why Carwell Gardner will ALWAYS be one of my favorite Bills! He kicked his arse!
  14. I'm a big fan of nearly all things Harpoon - LOVE their Celtic Ale; too bad it's seasonal. (Sittin' on a bit of a stash, though...) I dig their U.F.O. (Unfiltered Offering) wheat and Crystal Wheat in summer. Island Creek Oyster Stout (100 Barrel Series) was fantastic! Liquor - Me an' the boys are Crown Royal nuts. Do yourselves a favor and try the new Crown Royal Black - delicious! Thanks for askin'! Fun and informative post!
  15. Sorry, you know me and apostrophes...
  16. Oh, I'm sure he will. (or Bobby's, or Mike's, or Jimmy's...)
  17. I saw Brett Favre and the Jets carve us up with it two seasons ago. I'd love to see us run it that effectively!
  18. Okay, one more... Why is it that ONLY "sportstalkers" use: 1.) As of late. ("Lately" isn't good enough for you?) 2.) The annoying plural thing. (i.e., "The Jim KellyS and the Carwell GardnerS and the Ryan MillerS of the the world...") There is ONLY ONE Jim Kelly! I feel better. Sorta...
  19. And no more superfluous apostrophes! Please stop using them for making words plural! Now give me two more martinis (NOT martini's)! BTW, its is the possessive, it's is a contraction. Done. Out.
  20. Is it way too much of a reach to say that the Spiller's pick makes the current O line and pass game (QB and WR needs) better, and thereby partially addressed those needs? Or am I just sniffin' paint? Guess I'm feeling that since he was there at 9, I'm danged glad we took him. Now let's get Jimmy and some Ts!
  21. Or my (and Bryan Cox's) personal favorite; Carwell Gardner!
  22. Jonathan Stupar: Gee Shawn, your a$$ looks great in those jeans!
  23. A cosmetologist? Really? That's impressive. It must be tough to handle the weightlessness.
