  1. While i realize that it's a stretch, we need to get Josh a big TE target. Not sure Knox is Kelce level. Josh needs a Kelce/Gronk level tight end, apparently we had one [Logan Thomas] and let him get away because we weren't patient.
  2. I'm 72 and have been a Bills fan since I was 11..Overdue
  3. Those sideline throws to Davis, and the fact that he overthrew a wide open Brown at least once. Not sure Martindale will be getting much sleep. Roman is a known quantity in the 716, suspect we have his playbook somewhere in the bunkers of OP.
  4. Josh's TD throw to Diggs vs. Indy should give Dc's a big gulp...
  5. Through yesterday, Bills are 4-2 vs common Ravens opponents, Ravens are 2-5 against those same teams.. Bills in the OP... Vs. Non Common opponents, bills were massey rating of 20, Ravens were 26.5. Dirty Birds fattened up against the likes of the NFC East and Cinci and Jax.
  6. Yes, completely understand Star opting out, apparently he was genetically predisposed to COVID, and decision came late. First 6 games defense was a mess, and not great against Indy. Hope he stays with a full toolkit next year.
  7. I think Daboll could use the Williams/Singletary combination on the admittedly small percentage of running downs effectively. I don't think Yeldon can gain 3rd and 2 up the gut. Williams can.
  8. Edwards-Helaire is "doubtful" Leveon may may too many miles on the odometer. Just saying.
  9. Just saying, with our run D, glad we don't have to face Henry. They kicked our butts in the strange game in Nashville. Think the blackbirds are a better matchup.
  10. With Josh's unreal arm talent, and ability to throw from almost anywhere, RT becomes almost as important as LT. He escapes the pocket, and lotsa good things happen including throwaways are no longer intentional grounding.
  11. Edmunds ran a 4.54. Jackson never ran a timed 40 at a combine, but claims he's a 4.34. but Edmunds will be in front of him. Close call.
  12. Allen made 4 other wordly throws. Two sideline throws to Davis, the TD to Knox while he was being tackled and the bomb to Diggs. Just saying Josh is a Baller.
  13. If they exist, we need either a BIG safety or a fast backer, not super stout against the runs, but can play D on the Kelce's of the NFL. Been getting gashed all year on throws to the TE. Meanwhile we need a better tight end room, Superman Josh has saved us to this point, but Brady has always had one [or more] badass tight ends.
  14. I suspect that McBeane and co have already started their game planning against the dirty birds. Steelers comeback from this beatdown is to quote Mrs. Wormer in Animal House "Doubtful".
  15. Tomlin should hide his head in shame.
  16. Good news is we can play with the Ravens, Cleve might be able to beat KC, then AFC game is in the OP. Like our chances against the Browns in the OP.
  17. Steelers kinda sucking. How did they win 11 in a row?
  18. Remember Josh played college football in Laramie Wyoming. Much colder and windier than Buffalo. Laramie temp tonight 12 degrees, Buffalo 33 degrees.
  19. do we have any other 6-4 big fast receivers in the red zone.
  20. I think McBeane will go for Williams. Yeldon is a Meh. Willams will play probably 30% of the game, but he is probably a better 2nd/3rd/4th and one solution.
  21. I'm an original Bills fan, 1960-present. Andre Reed could get open in a phone booth. Elbert Dubenion [admittedly AFL] could get open against any DB, sadly Kemp had a rag arm, and Lamonica [one of the great deep throwers in history] was riding the pines. Josh has the best arm the NFL has probably ever seen, velocity, accuracy and flat out arm strength. Doubt Rogers could have made that deep throw to Diggs more than 25%. Allen is completing more than 50% of his throws deep middle. If Brown was healthy, stay tuned.
  22. QBR is a proprietary calcuation [e.g. ESPN's enigma machine]. Here's a wikipedia writeup. If Dean Oliver is involved, he's a Bill James type stats guru, very smart and solid guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_quarterback_rating In a nutshell, I think Rivers higher QBR in this case was he was dinking and dunking, but his receivers were picking up lots of yards after catch, whereas Josh's throws [e.g. Davis toe drags, knox TD] accounted for nearly all of the yardage on the play. The tight ends in particular were gashing our defense. Kelce is giving me nightmares already. Also Rivers was not sacked and did not fumble. Josh was sacked 2 times for 23 yards and had a fumble, which doesn't affect his NFL rating, but does impact QBR. Hope this helps. Apparently the program for QBR takes 10,000 lines of computer code, which is a pretty complex algorithm for an application. I've been doing stats [baseball, football, basketball] since 1965, computer science degree and 50 year bean counter.
  23. 1964 AFL Championship season [Cookie Gilchrist as RB]. He caught 42 passes with 10 TD's and a season average of 27.1 yards per reception with "rag arm" Jack Kemp as his QB.
  24. Dubenion was a great WR, in a different era. Fastest guy in the league. 18 yards per reception over his career. Doubled on most plays in his career...
  25. So bills five wide would be Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, McKenzie, Scary thought. Have we ever even in K-gun have had this much talent.
