  1. Weather is iffy, supposed to be rain/snow in the AM, then temps dropping through the 30's during the game, hopefully the field will not be a skating rink. I think Milano/Neal can manage to keep Pitts under wraps. Pats TE's didn't hurt us. Ryan has taken 11 sacks in his past 4 games. This will be the Lee Smith homecoming game, hopefully he's good for a couple of holding calls during the game.
  2. Beasley has a dead cap hit of $8.4MM as he's under contract through next season, so he's not going anywhere. Sanders is on a one year. I feel a little better about our OL after yesterday, wondering if there's not a sub 4.3 wide out available that will keep defenses honest [modern day Beebe equivalent]. I shudder to think with Josh's arm if he had a wideout with Tyriek type speed what would happen.
  3. NE dropped at least two INT's that in other years, would have probably been caught. Levi had a drop that would have prevented a TD later in the drive.
  4. Be interested to know how many of these 12 extended drop backs were due to Josh's mobility vs. what seemed to be better pass protection.
  5. If we are forced to pass, Moss is supposedly a better blocker in pass protection
  6. Looking at Sal's list, thinking Boogie & Moss might be the other two inactives?
  7. I think he is a free agent and would have to clear waivers. Played in 4 cfl games, 17 catches, 285 yards, 1 td. Had a 67 yard TD in the semifinal, but his team lost.
  8. I suspect as focused on results as BB can be, he has made it clear that vaccination is important to continued employment by that organization. As I understand it, vaccinated people have a much easier path to return to the active roster should they test postive.
  9. Interestingly, Dawkins has the Highest Cap 2021 hit of any of the AFC Pro Bowl Selections, by a lot. Dawkins is $11.4MM, next is Bitonio of the Browns at 8.2MM. Also not sure how the 19th highest rated OT in the AFC makes the Pro Bowl.
  10. I think the teammate in the Hospital he was referring to is Feliciano.
  11. Wondering if the receivers had been Diggs/Davis/McKenzie all year would the Bills be in a different place?
  12. Or Lou Groza, who was also an all-pro tackle for the Browns.
  13. I'm old enough to remember when one Cookie Gilchrist, also the starting fullback, was the placekicker in 1962, 8x20 on FG's 14x17 on PAT's. He was replaced the next year by position player Mack Yoho, who wasn't much better. Daryl Lamonica, the backup QB was the punter in 1963. We upgraded to Gogolak and Maguire in 1964.
  14. I suspect Terry and Kim told the league to cool it wrt the Bills and Canada while the stadium negotiations are underway. Ralph really soiled the punch bowl with the Toronto adventure.
  15. They also have 20 yard deep end zones, and a punt or kickoff that is not returned can give the kicking team a point, called a rouge. Doubtful the NFL with their emphasis on player injury avoidance would ever force a returner to return a kick.
  16. Looking at a recent first round mock, I'm seeing 6 CB's, 2 iDL, 5 EDGE, 2 iol [G/C], 2 LB, 2 OT, 4 QB [in a bad class], 3 S, and 6 WR's. We have needs at CB (Tre/ Wallace in a contract year), iOL [G/C] (our hot garbage guards/Morse getting old), Edge (Hughes), and slot W/R to replace Beas. I'm thinking CB, Guard, Edge, Slot
  17. I see several mocks with Ahmad Gardner - CB Cincinnati going to the Bills at 21. 6-3 200, not your typical CB size. Interesting prospect.
  18. We had our chance, but thought Sammy Watkins was a better option, that ended well for Buffalo.
  19. Clark Hunt is worth multiple $Billions, which are thousands of Millions.
  20. Why is Kay on GMFB saying that the Patriots are in first place in the AFC East heading into the weekend. Pats are 7-4 [.636 win %] Bills are 6-3 [.667 win%].
  21. Brad Daluiso I remember was a kickoff specialist, brought in because he had a stronger leg than Norwood, later became the kicker for the Giants.
  22. Thinking Bass needs to make a couple of 55-60 yard game winners to be mentioned in the same breath as Tucker. He would also have to make his next 21 FG's in a row to tie Tucker's career percentage. Last I looked we have 5 cold weather games this season in Dec and Jan, when kicking the ball is like kicking a bowling ball.
  23. According to Overthecap.com he earned over $21MM during his NFL Career. Have to assume its all gone up in smoke.
  24. On the 35 yard toe tap, he outran the DB's, Josh underthrew the ball, which was batted and Davis grabbed it falling OOB while being interfered with.
