  1. Let us not forget the Giant's immortal Elvis "Toast" Patterson
  2. As I understand the rules, Miami can only use bench heaters if the Bills do. Bills 22 starters played in college at schools with a current average temperature of 44 degrees, Fish 22 starters played at schools with an current average temperature of 50 degrees, Game time temp is predicted on Saturday to be around 28 degrees.
  3. Current Opponent Strength of Schedule through week 14 is home .517 Road .649 overall .579. That's slightly above the #1 schedule [Rams .576] heading into this year.
  4. SI Just posted this for 2023 Home: Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, Broncos, Raiders, Cowboys, Giants, AFC South TBD (Currently Titans), NFC South TBD (Currently Bucs) Road: Chiefs, Chargers, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, Eagles, AFC North TBD (Bengals or Ravens), Commanders Chiefs, Eagles, Commanders, likely Bengals on the Road. Someday we will get to play the Chiefs in the OP. Suspect it will be the first game in the new stadium.
  5. Left Out Amon-Ra St. Brown, guy is a stud.
  6. I was at the AFC Championship game in 1964 at the Rockpile. The tickets were my Christmas present, game was the day after Christmas. Lincoln was the BEST player on the Chargers, and one of the top two RB's in the league. He had run for over 200 yards, and caught passes for over 100 in the previous year's AFC title game. That hit changed the entire game. You could see the entire Chargers sideline deflate after that hit. Modern day equivalent would be taking McCaffrey out of the game with a tackle.
  7. The weather outside is frightful frozen fish on the menu Go Bills Go
  8. A healthy Derrick Henry I suspect is a bigger faster version of Csonka. Cookie Gilchrist could dish out some punishment on defenders, but he was the size of the O lineman and the LB's and DB's were not the specimens they are today.
  9. I think Josh and Mitch are both going to be on the Injury report every week, suspect they are both gutting through injuries to help the team.
  10. He hosts a show on Sirius with TB12, not sure I want anyone tainted with that guy around. Billy Shaw? Our HOF offensive lineman? Probably an upgrade over Saffold, guy is 83 years old tho.
  11. There have been two instances this year where teams took an intentional safety: Giants vs. GB and Falcons at Rams. In those two instances there was much less time left than 0:41. Once again the ghost of KC 13 seconds haunts us.
  12. Makes you wonder in the Minny game if a strategic safety might have been a better play than a bad exchange between Mitch & Josh.
  13. Watching NFL talking heads this morning, former Bills, Blackshear, Zay Jones, and Goodwin all getting some love in the highlights for their play yesterday.
  14. Since we last played the Jets, we are 3-1 they are 1-2. We have completed 64% of our passes they have completed 57% We have rushed for 5.1 yards per carry, they are at 4.3 ypc We have converted 51% of our third downs, they have converted 31% Two of these games are against common opponents, Minny and New England This game is in Buffalo We have Poyer, Tre, and Spencer Brown for this game, but lose Miller Their one win is against the 3-10 Bears. We have beaten the 5-7 Browns, 6-6 Pats, and 5-7 Lions [their only loss in the last 5 games]
  15. What about a compromise, Offensive holding is a 5 yard penalty and loss of down, similar to intentional grounding or a sack.
  16. Milano is 223#, one of the smallest starting linebackers in the league. Wagner is 230, Edmunds is 250, TJ Edwards is 242. I think that has an impact.
  17. Our only season ending championship teams were 1964 and 1965. Those teams were built around a stout defense. in 1964 they averaged 29 ppg and gave up 17. In 1965 they only averaged 22 ppg, but only gave up 16. Saban traded Cookie to Denver before 1965 and the offense lost a gear.
  18. Nice tribute to a Bill who performs on and off the field.
  19. Yes and missing Breece Hall, who arguably was an elite RB.
  20. This is Jimmy G's third serious ankle/foot injury, he has been on the injury report 7 times in the past three seasons. Will teams be willing to spend QB1 money with that history?
  21. You mean like the Pats got Marcus Jones in space vs. Hamlin.
  22. Crowder's game is quickness, not sure how long it will take him to regain this, even if he continued training through his injury, how much damage was done to the soft tissue. I remember busting an ankle one time and it was several months even with PT to get it right.
  23. If the ball never touches the ground before the player is down, that should be a catch/interception, regardless if its moving a bit. Seems like they league is far more strict on what is a catch than what is a fumble. The say the ground can't cause a fumble, but it can cause an incomplete pass.
  24. Yes, but just think what a beating the Pats took having to be on defense for 38 minutes. That 94 yard 9 minute drive was epic. That will be in the Pats heads for a while. That being said, hoping for a snow game in NE vs the 'phins on New Years Day, and Stevenson pounds the rock.
  25. Is Poyer headed for a Russell Wilson type scenario, moves to another team, late in his career for his position, and hits the wall? Since he's a West Coast native, I could see him headed to the 49'rs if he wants another shot at a ring. He's the 8th oldest safety in the league and analytics have him as the #19 S. There are only 3 safeties [McCourty being one] more than a year older than he is. Edmunds will cost a lot, he's one of the top coverage MLB's in the league and with his wingspan it's difficult to use the middle of the field. Food for thought.
