  1. josh shortarming another throw, wonder if the cold is bothering his shoulder
  2. was the db touched in the end zone?
  3. Dumb Throw into double coverage
  4. Bengals have missed two XP's already
  5. Is Poyer too hurt to tackle?
  6. Mahomes was a pro prospect as a shortstop, thats the dp toss to a 6-4-3 double play.
  7. Boettger active, Phillips & Oliver active, Iron triangle of Poyer, Edmunds, Milano all active. Better than I'd hoped for.
  8. There's a guy named Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas State that's being mocked around where we pick at 63. Like the last name. Draft sites have him moving possibly to C in the pros. BTW Bills only have 6 Draft Choices in 2023, so UDFA scouting is going to have to have some wins.
  9. We have two safeties who are on the wrong side of 30. One coming back from a potentially career-ending injury, the other a regular on the injury list, probably need to draft a safety in Round 2 or Round 3, not sure Hamlin is the long term answer. Agree that we need a WR2 esp with Gabe Davis in the last year of his team friendly contract. We are basically in cap purgatory with Josh's contract increase kicking in. We also have Poyer, Edmunds, [and his backups, Dodson & Klein], Motor, and starting corners Jackson and Johnson all in contract years, so a MLB, and CB are probably priorities as well, depending on who leaves on March 15th. SPOTRAC is showing Edmunds valued at $15MM, which isn't a lot above his current 1st round 5th year cap hit of $12.7MM, but someone will overpay.
  10. RAS is a great tool to measure physical attributes, but nowhere does it measure mental processing speed, the ability to analyze, then execute the required behavior. That's what makes the great tackles great. Tackle Play may not always be indicative of how well a team is doing. There are five teams with bookend top 25 tackles: Eagles, Vikings, Lions, Falcons, and amazingly Texans - arguably the worst team in the league Also noticed that former Bill Ty Nsekhe is starting for the Rams at LT.
  11. The top rated tackles under the age of 25 are basically all first rounders, Darrisaw, Wirf, Sewell, and Andrew Thomas. McBeane's last four drafts have been Oliver [DL], {Diggs}, Rousseau [Edge], Elam [CB]. Obviously they think they can manage without a top tackle to balance Dawkins. They are paying Knox a lot of money to chip block on the right side.
  12. The Bears Offense is a decent test for the Bills defense, which is down 2 key starters in Von & Micah. Their Defense has been devastated by injuries, and the trade of Roquan, and that should be a mismatch against Buffalo's offense. If Josh doesn't play due to injury, then this may be a good game to establish the running game for the playoffs. The weather of course could be the great equalizer. I trust McDermott & Co. will be focused on the game at hand and not looking ahead to the Bengals.
  13. In the Dolphins game, our TD's were to Knox, Morris, Hines, and Cook, so that would suggest Josh and Dorsey know they need to diversify the offense. Regarding your point on defending the run, I saw Milano whiff on a couple of tackles, and our CB's are slow to come up in run support [that could be scheme as they are told to stick to Cheetah and Waddle as job #1]. I also notice that instead of trying to stop a runner in his tracks, we tend to try to ride them towards the sideline. As always enjoy your analysis and the poetry is uplifting.
  14. Josh is focused on the prolate spheroid on a pyramid called the Lombardi Trophy. All this other stuff is noise.
  15. That's with Josh, without him they have 3, Green Bay (104), Cleveland (164), and New England (112).
  16. Three Player of the Weeks this year, but no love as NFL MVP, puzzling, esp since he covers for a meh offensive line.
  17. I just took a look, and not only does Mahomes play behind a better O-Line, [Dawkins is the only player on our O-Line better than any of their 5], but because of the injury bug, we haven't been very consistent with our O-line. The Chiefs starters as a unit have played 94% of their snaps. The Bills starters as a unit have played 84% of the snaps. KC has only one reserve [Allegretti] with any significant number of snaps, we have three, Quessenberry, VanRoten, and [shudder] Hart.
  18. Can Von coach him up on how to protect against an outside speed rush. Von has certainly played against many great Tackles in this league.
