  1. O-Line as a grouping is probably next after Josh. Individually they are middle of the pack, but as a group they have quietly become one of the most effective units in the league, and are trending upwards the last three games. They have really done a great job and lead the league in fewest sacks allowed. I would rank the individuals in this order after #17 Benford Rousseau Shakir Cook and Kincaid as an asterisk, due to him missing so much time.
  2. Our defense was missing 3 starters Hamlin, Douglas, Rapp - who were inactive, Going into the game they were #1,2,&4 on the defense in terms of snaps played. Milano went out during the game, was replaced by Williams, who was replaced by Spector, just off IR; then we lost Bishop during the game. In the fourth quarter, we had Benford, Taron Johnson, and Bernard of our usual back 7 available. We were playing a 36 yr old safety from the practice squad in the 4th qtr. Might have something to do with how well our opponent played.
  3. That's correct and Mahomes, Russell, Josh, and Lamar would also have to be adjusted. Of course then you have the 17 vs. 16 game season adjustment. It was just an interesting factoid.
  4. Just saw that Brad Allen's crew has Sunday's Bills game. He had the Bills January 2022 playoff game vs. Pats that was a 47-17 Bills win. Bills are 7-5 when he has headed the crew and Bills have won the last 4 in a row that he's reffed.
  5. From Pro Football Reference QB's ranked by Approximate Value per year played Four of the top 10 are active today. Jim Kelly is #15 with an AV average per year of 12.0, Marino is immediately ahead of him at #14.
  6. People forget, our Offense outscored the Rams Offense. Our Long Snapper couldn't hold up against the punt block rush.
  7. Esp breaking away from a hair pull, I suspect the competition committee [McD is on it] will have something to say about that, not much different than a horse collar tackle, and probably just as dangerous with respect to head and neck injuries.
  8. Didn't realize how bad the Pats O-Line is. LT - Lowe 72 of 80 LG - Robinson 75 of 76 C - Brown 41 - 41 RG - Onwenu 37 of 76 [Best of the group] RT - Jacobs 80 of 80 Hopefully Groot, AJE, and Von will get home a few times.
  9. As I recall, we were lucky to beat the Jests at their place, and Rodgers may be auditioning for a move to an owner who wants a name QB. Allen reminds me of Jim Brown in that regard, never let the other guy know that you're hurt. A bit harder this day with the blue tent and all, but I see the same toughness in Josh Allen that I saw in Jim Brown.
  10. Yeah Cine as a Big Nickel/Fast LB to counter Stevenson, although the Pats O-Line except for Onwenu is hot garbage.
  11. Didn't he make a 48 yard XP in one of the last two games because one of our guys drew a PF for taunting.
  12. I just checked Spotrac. Donald is hitting the Rams with a $42.5MM dead cap hit. $17mm in 24, 25.2 mm in 25.
  13. I follow a guy named Ken Massey who does some pretty sophisticated statistical modeling in a lot of sports, pro and college. He has the highest home field this year in Buffalo and Green Bay at +1.45 pts [probably the two most rabid fan bases]. Lowest is +1.28 for the woeful Giants, where I suspect there is a lot of season ticket secondary resale to tourists going on. so 2.5 - 3 pts is probably a pretty good factor to use home vs. road.
  14. 55 air yards in 2.47 secs - 45 mph - Thor god of thunder. Throw a 1 pound object three times as far as a baseball pitcher.
  15. PFF said Elam had the best pass coverage grade on the team [not saying much when you give up 500 yards]. Second was PS callup K. Jackson. Bishop, Milano, Bernard, and Spector all had coverage grades in the 30's and 40's.
  16. Thurman Thomas Season(s) - Thurman - 1989 - 1993. 5 yrs, 1,801 touches, 55 TD's 9,595 yards from scrimmage.
  17. Montgomery now out indefinitely for Lions, MCL injury, may miss playoffs.
  18. Told my wife I was staying in my man-cave until the Bills won.
  19. Only Bills player this year to record snaps on Offense, Defense, and Special teams
  20. Thurman Thomas led the league in yards from scrimmage in 1991, 1992, 1993. He led the AFC in 1990.
  21. Texans beat the Bills. Mixon, Collins, Dell can all hurt any team in the league
  22. Having 2 HB's on the field, could that mean eventually Josh will have an effective screen game to add to his tool kit? We sure have the OL these days to run a good screen game.
  23. Campbell is crazy enough to try something like that.
