  1. Levy's hubris. For some reason I remember that he didn't really give Marchibroda the credit he deserved for the K-gun/no huddle concept and he thought Kelly was sufficient to keep it afloat without a true coordinator. It was a situation similar to wasting HOF talent on the defensive side of the ball with Walt Corey's putrid read and react BS.
  2. Was the caliber of QB that they lost to really that much better, outside of Brady? The corpse of Roethlisberger, Tannehill, Lawrence, Wentz, and Jones... Outside of Brady, and Mahomes in the playoffs, none of those QBs went off on them. The only one of those 5 to even crack 200 yds passing was Tannehill with 216. They lost those games either because their offense was misfiring, special teams directly cost them points in the Steelers and Colts game, and/or at the worst possible time the defense was out of position and gave up huge chunk plays/long TDs.
  3. From the day McDermott walked in the door through 2020 they had 30 picks. 11 of them are starters, 9 of them are filling a significant role in certain packages or providing solid depth, 6 are still in the league with other teams (including Wyatt Teller, Zay Jones, Ray-Ray McCloud, Darryl Johnson, and Jake Fromm), and 4 are either out of the league or on practice squads somewhere, none of whom were drafted higher than the 5th round. This doesn't include the 2021 draft class that used the 1st and 2nd round picks regularly in their DL rotation, or their current starting RT. They drafted and developed Allen, Milano, White, Dawkins, Bass, Knox, Davis, Brown. Singletary has had his moments when they're using him correctly. Edmunds may be polarizing, but he's an effective starting MLB. Oliver is coming into his own. Phillips was coming on the second half of the season after the knee injury. The jury is out on Epenesa, and so far he's underperformed. Cody Ford is probably the only obvious bust. How is this "pretty terrible"?
  4. Local news tonight said the Saints are going to be kicking the tires on Byron.
  5. Kyle Allen. At one time they were collecting Williamses, then Phillipses... it's time to collect Allens. Maybe they can get Brandon and Austin as well.
  6. I click on the thread expecting Terry Tate and get a fire Frazier thread… I would have preferred to have gotten Peter Pan’d.
  7. Dorsey also had pre-injury McGahee in the backfield, so…
  8. Not clicking, but his face looks like an "If they mated" between Tom Green, Dr. Evil, and Adrian Brody.
  9. Decisions, decisions... Let's see what Dave Portnoy has to say about the pizza at the Chimney Rock Inn.
  10. "Method?... no. Technique?... nah. System?... yeah, system!... actually no, that's lame." Coach Daboll's first hours spent finding the perfect NYG synonym for "process".
  11. Nah. This is just Tuesday on TBD when there’s no Bills football to talk about. And yes, I realize you were referring to the team…
  12. Perfect. Any word on Frazier making a lateral move to be Giants DC? 🙏
  13. Way to take it from a fantasy thread to a “sadomasochism on the level of a Hellraiser movie” thread.
  14. Only because there was a long line to get into the ladies room. Regarding the retirement, you have to wonder if his arm is looking forward to the reunion.
  15. So much better value than the NHL Center Ice package used to be.
  16. Or it may just be a Sabres fan who lives out of market and wanted to catch a few games...
  17. How are his hands? Maybe we can send him to Tight End U and convert him in the offseason. It worked for Knox.
  18. It almost sounds like he has a microphone on or something. 🤦‍♂️
  19. I think if you take a Bayesian approach to that decision, using the outcome of the 4th Q to inform the decision in OT, you would realize your "give yourself more chances" approach didn't have the same odds in game as it would in theory based on the way your defense was playing. It's like deciding to throw 8 darts from 25 feet and hoping for success when you know you've been holding the dart backwards for the last 15 minutes but there is nothing in your power that you can do to change it versus being given the chance to turn the dart around and throw it once from 20 feet.
  20. 10-15 years ago it would have been unthinkable to let a team score a TD intentionally when you knew your defense wasn't up to the challenge of stopping them and you needed to conserve the clock, and then one day Belichick did it because based on the flow of the game to that point it made sense in the moment. It's not Monday morning quarterbacking to say the Bills weren't going to keep the Chiefs out of the endzone, the whole football watching world knew whoever lost the coin toss was most likely going to lose the game. Even if it failed, trying something unexpected to catch your opponent off guard and flip the odds in your favor in a situation where you're basically destined to lose would not have been the wrong thing to do in that moment.
  21. If this is the direction that franchise is going to go, they might as well just hire Ryan Leaf. At least he can get the players' golf games in shape for the offseason.
  22. I didn't read through the whole thread. Was the fundamental tenet of the plan limiting opposing fans in the stadium to not have any more games this season?
  23. If self preservation is an instinct you possess, you'd better do it and do it quick.
