  1. 1. The Bills got bigger where they needed to get bigger, and faster where they needed to get faster. 2. Kyle Allen. Ummm....
  2. This is almost exactly what everyone said before the Bills (or some imposters) played the Bengals in the playoffs last year. In order to take advantage of an opponent's bad O line, our D line has to show up.
  3. Statistically ours is better. And compared to the end of last year, we add Hyde, actual White, healthy Poyer, Floyd, Ford, plus some depth players that are better than last year's depth players. It's gonna be a tough game for both offenses. Both O lines don't look to be as good as both D lines, so it will come down to broken plays keeping drives alive.
  4. Yeah, well, OJ was really sentenced to that big term for murder. It's not how the system is supposed to work, but everyone knows he did kill those people, and he finally got something close to the right punishment. Again, I'm not saying that's how things should work, but if the original trial had reached the obvious conclusion, the kidnapping charge wouldn't have been grabbed by the justice system to put him away for so long.
  5. Well, Ruggs destroyed (ended) two young lives, in a most horrific way. The victim was alive after the crash and couldn't get out of her car while she burned to death. Of course neither could her dog.
  6. True. But it sure brings in lots of money nevertheless.
  7. Yeah, he could have won that game, but the entire team was enduring heat stroke. It's a testament to their grit that they came that close under those circumstances.
  8. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/analyst-who-correctly-predicted-unlikely-eagles-super-bowl-surge-has-a-new-pick-for-2023-super-bowl-and-it-s-not-patrick-mahomes/ar-AA1eUSR1?ocid=msedgntp&pc=W099&cvid=d31349fd942341819d7972859304886b&ei=11 Both teams are very logical picks. (And yes, he calls it the Chris Berman Special. Berman picked those two teams year after year a generation ago.)
  9. IIRC, it was Mahomes who threw a late interception against the Bills, preventing the Chiefs from coming back to win in last year's game. The only thing I can pin on Allen last year was his late fumble against the Vikings, after our D line somehow mounted a goal line stand. That gave the game away. Other than that, I can't think of a loss in any game, regular season or playoffs, where Allen had a chance to win or to close out a game, and failed.
  10. I wonder what Kelce's wife thought about that friendship bracelet...
  11. At least one notable person in American life has made millions after being indicted for his crimes. It all depends on getting people to believe you.
  12. The bigger question is why no team has picked him up. He's a year older but his leg should be just as good. He's been exonerated for the rape accusation so there shouldn't be anything standing in his way.
  13. Maybe this is a canny plot to throw Josh off his game. He's going to be looking at ways to burn Apple so much that he'll miss other opportunities. Well, why wouldn't Miami try that? Nothing else has worked.
  14. According to the internet, she's an actress who dated Rodgers for a few years. She's now with John Mulaney, a very good comedian, and they had a child together.
  15. Does anyone know if any of the players from that game are still alive? They'd have to be in the mid-90s or even older. It would be interesting to interview the survivors if they're around.
  16. Yep, that's the key. The Bengals' O line going into the playoff game was supposed to be THEIR Achilles heel, so our D line could dominate and keep Burrow from having time to pass. As usual, that didn't pan out. Burrow could have had a coffee and donut and then passed the ball on many plays. Yeah, he made the Pro Bowl last year. And somehow he's available. What a disastrous decision by the Bills not to bring him back. /s of course.
  17. Thanks for the thoughtful response. I agree, we're going to have to wait and see how events unfold, and even then the results won't likely be definitive. Injuries, mistakes, and the usual great plays by someone on the opposing offense, will all affect how successful the Bills D is this year.
  18. This is the pattern with the Cowboys. They pay good players as if they were great players, and then are shocked when the rest of the league says they're just good, no more than that. Unlike S. Diggs, T. Diggs has holes in his game. As a fan of whoever is playing the Cowboys next week, I'm fine with this move, but it's going to backfire as badly as did paying Ezekiel Elliot all that money.
  19. Edmunds was the glue that Frazier's defense depended on. His size and speed took away a huge area of the defense, and that made the style of D the Bills played work. But what Edmunds is NOT is an attacking, vicious, hitting, intuitive, tough defender. I don't think it was a coincidence that Edmunds and Frazier left at the same time. Frazier's system was not going to work without Edmunds. Very possibly, considering the return of White to full health, and Hyde, the Bills D could turn out to be better than ever with McD and a new guy as MLB. If that new guy is an attacking, vicious, hitting, intuitive and tough defender.
  20. There's no big news here. He's turned into a really good player, and the Steelers resigned him to a fair contract.
  21. The Bills' WR room is stuffed already. Unless the guy's last name is Hopkins, we already have several guys better than anyone available.
  22. A lot depends on whether you're Mormon. We lived in Salt Lake City for 10 years and mostly enjoyed it, but SLC is an enclave of the United States inside the Kingdom of Zion. Being a gentile (that's the word they use for non-Mormons) anywhere else in Utah, except for Park City and Moab, will make your life tough. If you're Mormon and going into business in St George, you have a good shot at success. If you're a gentile, forget it. The deck will be completely stacked against you. And, bring your own water. St George has been growing rapidly but lacks a reliable source of water. There is a serious attempt in the Utah legislature to develop a pipeline from Lake Powell to St George. That's Lake Powell on the Colorado River, which you might have heard is going dry (not this year, fortunately) due to too many demands on its water. This insane pipeline idea might actually be approved because of the clout of the Mormons in Congress. Utah is very beautiful, as others have noted. St George is fairly close to Zion and Bryce Canyon, and a few hours away from Capitol Reef. If you like outdoor activities, it's great, not necessarily in the ferocious heat of the summers in southern Utah but otherwise it's fine outside.
  23. First of all, any player's playoff record is a secondary factor. Too much else impacts those results. All the Bills from the great 90s teams got in despite losing 4 SBs, as did Tasker. Yet they all deserve to be there. So does Ken Anderson, clearly. Otis Taylor does too but he must have been caught up in the WR mess, where almost no WRs got in for years while RB after RB did. And now he's dead, before he had the chance to put on the yellow jacket.
  24. The Bills do have a safety who's played for them in the past few years but who always seemed to be a little too slow and often out of position. His name is Damar Hamlin. But could the Bills really cut Saint Damar?
  25. Milano made first team All-Pro last season. And he's not one of the 100 best? Come on.
