  1. Yes, I did think of that..and that is why I said " You trade-up if you feel there is a superior franchise QB in the draft" Obviously if there isn't a franchise QB in the draft you don't trade-up for one! Obviously, if there isn't one in the draft at all you wouldn't select one as well. Let's use some sense here, and my word isn't Gospel or anything. It's just a point that OVERALL it almost always plays out that a franchise QB is drafted and if they don't show potential in their first 3 or 4 years (and that's being gracious) as almost all the QB's I named were very good by their second or third year if not sooner! I don't really care who proved what! Bandit this or that..who cares? Campbell is not anywhere near an elite QB and never will be, even if that is hard for you to digest. We can look for excuses for Campbell and Edwards but They are both somewhere between poor and average and I tend to lean towards poor! As far as draft picks go..(did u even read my post?) Obviously not, and why do you come off as argumentative? This isn't my entire life and hopefully not yours either! It's fun, It's a sport, I like it! Anyways, I said that you would use your NEXT draft pick (Round 2 if that's not clear enough) and get the best L OT you can get to protect your QB! If the Bills gave up their 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th to move up to Detroits spot for instance (If they felt confident that a superior franchise QB was in that spot)..why wouldn't you make the trade?? I am not saying there is one for sure available...That would be in the hands of the scouts/talent evaluators of the Bills! I'm just saying if the next Peyton Manning was available, that I would give up several draft picks...heck if I knew the Next Peyton Manning was available I'd give up those picks and I would feel like I stole him! Bledoe, Blesdoe! You got to be kidding!! He was good for 8 games...real good! and then he disappeared completely as a QB! He hit the wall...His best years was in N/Eng...It was drudgery watching Blesdoe's fall as well! That's not much of a comparison!! You sure got twisted and weird on me and I don't even know you dude/dudette! Anyways, I didn't just mention the players you regurgatated to me...I also mentioned T. Brady, Peyton Manning, P. Rivers, there's also D. Breeze and I mentioned there are others...If you want to be successful challenge my opinion then start naming QB's that had little to no success in the leaugue for 3 to 5 years, got traded to another team and led that team to a Super Bowl victory!!! Huh? Maybe there is one or two that have?? I don't know...If your going to dispute a point then you should back it up! That would be fine...I may not know as much as you? So fire away! Start naming those retread QB's like Campbell who will become a great QB, but had valid excuses during their first stint with their first team, but later became Superstars!! If not, then that is my point exactly!! Why would we want Campbell???? More of the same to me! Seems like most bloggers are saying that as well!! So what exactly is your point besides trying to flip everything I post????????? That is my point you know...that the Colts and Patriots wouldn't get rid of their QB's at this point in their career....that is the point! That is why I am saying that Campbell is expendible as M. Shananhan wants to try and identify his QB of the future for the Skins and Campbell in his opinion is not/and will not cut the mustard! So your backing Campbell for what reason? So we should just quit and not try to find the best QB available in the draft because you determined that none of them are capable? Well, If I were a teacher I would have you re-read my original post and have you draft up an outline for a constructive arguement, if you must be abrasive! I do resent your comment about punching a baby in all seriousness, as I have a lovely 10 week old baby girl, whose eyes sparkle as she smiles at me and I could never imagine anyone ever being dispicable enough to bring harm to a innocent, little baby! Please stick to football if you have to respond so negatively to people's posts. Hope your nicer in real life than you were in your reply. I'll pray for you!
  2. Why would we even want to get him to begin with? Haven't we dealt with enough mediocre players long enough?? I don't want to bring in personnel of mediocre talent anymore! (Not implying that you have anything to do with all that)..Just a frustrated fan that believes he could make better personnel decisons than the Bills do! Haven't seen them do one thing I agree with except for letting go of John Guy since firing D. Jauron. I wish they would let Tom Modrak go as well, but unfortuantely I don't think the Bills's (Pardon the Pun) braintrust will do that! So we'll waiver between 4 and 8 wins over the next 5 years! Here's the obvious: 1. The best teams build through the draft 2. The best teams have ownership that is committed to winning 3. The best teams ensure that they have the best General Managers and Scouting departments, including Coaches, Trainers, etc.. 4. The best teams find the best Quarterbacks who are the Generals in the field! They don't settle for has been re-treads who are over the hill (except for Brett Favre). Look at the best of the best..They are normally drafted and stay with that franchise for many years! Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, John Elway, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Phil Simms, Rothlisberger, Ken Stabler, Warren Moon, etc...............You don't see your QB's who have IT bouncing around from team to team! You rarely get a QB in FA that amounts to anything!! So picking up Campbell or whomever isn't even worth the effort and to give up something for that right is even more damming to our future when it means surrendering draft picks! You trade up if you believe a superior franchise QB is available to as high as you need to get that QB!! Surrender what you have to and select the best L OT you can when you pick next and probably pick up the best L OT available in FA as well to better your odds to fill a L OT starting role and protect your QB !!! I don't care if you have to draft 3 QB's and 3 OT's to find the starting QB & OT !! You do it and get rid of all the yuck yuck muck muck mediocre bullcrap that you currently have at these two positions!!
  3. Sure, at first glance you say "Wow LT", but it really wouldn't make sense when your building towards the future and probably have a 2-3 yr wait until you are good enough to be in the playoff hunt! The only thing I'd be willing to part with is either R. Parrish or M. Lynch (Beastmode). It would be interesting if we pulled this off and somehow got McNabb, now that McNabb and T.O. are once again chummy! Ticket sales would once again do very well, but at the end of the day we would be lucky to be a 8-8 team...
  4. I started to think how everyone is saying they don't like our lines....then I thought deeper and said to myself "I can't think of many positons on the team taht I do like." I like our kickers!...hmmmm CB's are pretty good I suppose. Hmmmm it's getting harder, ahhhh I can't say I like our RB's except for F. Jackson, Can't say I like our WR's except for Lee Evans (it's not his fault of the QB's ineptitude)..hmm QB's..There is nothing I like about our QB's at all !! Our LB's...many are undersized for the 3/4..injury prone ie: Paul Pozinjury...yikes! Safeties...umm not great..TE's haven't done much of anything! Geez, Did I say we got good kickers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're hurting for Certain!!!!!!!! Can we swap all our players with Carolina or another team and throw in $100 million and call it even???
  5. That'll work for me! I'm not sold on any one particular QB in the draft of the top 3 or 4 QB's, but I sure want one and am afraid that one will fall in the Bill's lap and they will pass and draft another position!! They passed on Bryan Orakapo DE last year and selected undersized tweener Aaron Maybe Maybin! Hope Buddy Nix doesn't drop the ball on this draft as supposedly he was an integral part of S.D.'s great drafts! We'll see....
  6. Your right! The Bills can't even find the obvious stars that fall right in their laps at draft time ie: B. Orakapo DE last year or how about Bryant Mckinney OT and instead they choose Mike "Lazybones" Williams. Gregg Williams claims that he argued with the Bills scouting department/Management because he wanted to draft QB Drew Breeze, but he was over-ruled and they selected someone else instead! It's a shame that Coaches and Personnel that leave the Bills always have the last laugh on the Bills anymore ie: Gregg Williams, Jabari Greer, Bill Polian, Dwight Adams, Dick Labeau, Sam Aiken, Willis McGahee, and others! Look at the organizations that are willing to pay $$$$ and compete for top players! Most of them excluding the Wash. Redskins have had very favorable results the past decade! Minnesota Vikings, G.B. Packers, Sandiego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys (as of late), Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, etc....It's not that they spend a whole lot more...It's that they can identify players in FA that are impact players like Randy Moss and get'er done! They also retain their best players unlike us! Look at some of the talent we lost because we wouldn't take care of our own!! ie: Nate Clements, Antwoin Winfield, Sam Cowhart (few yrs back), Jabari Greer, Pat Williams, Ted Washington, and several others. Honestly, the Bills would have been better off using Profootballweekly to decide on their picks than depending on scouts who try to play cutsie and pick players that are undersized tweeners like Aaron Maybin, or undersized receivers like Roscoe Parrish, or players with character flags like M. Lynch etc....I hope things will change, but I expect it won't be until 2112-2113 season that we'll likely make the playoffs if things go good or better on the rebuilding project. Too much Mediocricy on this team...Need to purge about 20-25 players and what the heck is Tom Modrak still here for????
  7. Heck...I'd settle just for the 4th round pick if it came down to it!! Don't like Lynch much...He's a punk and a bad character. It was reported that some of the players are turned off by his demeanor. He can't punch it in in the red zone! He can't break a big run without being chased down from behind! So really what good is he? He carries a lot of baggage and when he's running hard he takes a bigger pounding than Fred Jackson who is more elusive and better at avoiding defenders. His shelf life is probably 2-3 years tops..He may have even peaked!!! He'll probably end up suspended from the NFL for a season and may even see the inside of a cell ! Kinda sounds like Travis Henry to me huh? ....Hope Lynch goes away!
  8. I totally agree with this blog! I study about the top 160 players to be drafted..enough to fill up the first 5 rounds..I look at videos of them in games, I look at their college stat's and notes, I sometimes go back and look how they performed in High School, I make my own War Room, have charts & graphs, projections, red flags ie: injuries/character/leadership/knowledge/ etc...My projections, Sports analyist projections etc...all over that room, a T.V. on ESPN, and the computer with the NFL Network as well....and I have been doing it for seven years now! The one thing I am certain about is that I have gained an immense knowledge of the College crop to be harvested, although actual scouting would improve my level of expertise further....but I rarely ever agree with who the Bills select in the NFL Draft!!! Last year the only pick we shared was: Jairius Byrd !!!!! I was so against selecting Aaron Maybin, and I was smiling just before that pick because B. Orakapo (DE) was there for our pick !!!!! Aaron Maybin wasn't even second on my list for that matter! He was behind Robert Ayers and Everette Brown in my projections. We had a gift in Orakapo that we wouldn't accept!!!! I was livid!! Also, Everette Brown slid hard through the 1st, 2nd, 3rd round and I believe into the 4th round. In some projections he was close to B. Orakapo, but I had him projected in the 2nd round to a team. We passed on every opportunity to take him and again I was livid !! I didn't have the Bills selecting Eric Wood nor A. Levitre but warmed up to the idea after reassessing the data I had before me, and I liked Shawn Nelson when they picke him even though I would've choosen another T.E. Was it Dustin Keller maybe?? don't remember, oh well... The year before, I was upset with the draft as I would've choosen Malcom Kelly WR...or another receiver..that might have went to Pittsburgh? L.S. may have been his initials...I was again upset as we picked James Hardy!!!! I never thought right from the start that Mike Williams was the right pick at OT...and I would've taken the OT that Minnesota selected instead! Just so many times, that I don't agree with what the Bills do in the Draft and also in FA as well! So, I'll go through my annual charade like I always do as I continue studying the NFL Class of 2010 draftees, but with an open eye realization that they'll try to play cutsie more than likely and take a small college player that is unknown, or draft someone who is a "tweener" and undersized instead of just making the OBVIOUS pick !! Oh the misses we have endured! The Lossman's, Parrish's, Williams's, Edward's, Pozinjury, etc........For once (heaven's sake) just get it right!! or Buy a PROFOOTBALL WEEKLY DRAFT GUIDE FOR THE 2010 NFL Draft ! and let them pick your player's for you as they wouldv'e done a better job than the Bills entire scout team and warroom !! Heck, I'm not Mel Kiper, but I know I would've done better at drafting the Bills players this past decade without a doubt in my mind!!!
  9. Throw in Roscoe Parrish, Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, James Hardy, Paul Pozinjury, & Chris Ellis and we're still better off !!!!!
  10. WeLL I do think it is good to be optimistic...I just don't feel that way about M. Lynch. I think it is going to take some attitude adjustment on his part. He has a tendancy to turnoff some of his teamates with his attitude. I think that we should get rid of him before he commits a felony and goes to the slammer long term. Then we won't get anything for him at all! The Running games production decreased as soon as he got off of his suspension last season and was in the mix of RB's. I'll take a F. Jackson who quietly does a superb job without acting like a juvenille punk like Lynch. I didn't see the explosion often in Lynch's runninng last season that I saw the first couple of years. I see it like this: The average shelf life for a RB is 4-5 years tops! M. Lynch plays a bruising game and gets caught from behind the few times he breaks a run. F. Jackson is elusive and breaks long runs. F. Jackson also doesn't take the constant pounding that M. Lynch takes because of the different styles they have. I think M. Lynch's tread life is down to two years, three at best and he may have already peaked! I think he is part of the rotten apple that needs to be perched before the whole appple is bruised and useless. Purge, Delete, Trade, Release M. Lynch as he's rotten to the core and not good for more than 2 1/2 yards per crack...!!! He can't pound it into the endzone neither which should be his game considering his style!
  11. Most teams frown from pursuing another team's troubled player! San Diego historically has been very good at aquiring free agents and especiallly drafting! San Diego can easily turn a 1st rounder into a pro bowl caliber player and has done it numerous times and more often than most teams. I don't see why S.D. would part with their 1st rounder...if they wanted to pursue a 1st round RB you are talking a fresh set of legs and with the average career of a running back in the NFL lasting only 4-5 years M. Lynch has probably less than 50% treadware left. M. Lynch plays more a bruising type of game as well instead of being more elusive like F. Jackson likely reducing his shelf life even further !!! Don't get me wrong I would love to see that trade materialize, but thinking in executive like fashion I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this trade to occur.
  12. Cry me a river scardeycatmessenger! You really should Stick to the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, as you continue to prove that u don't know what your talking about in reference to the Bills. Most of the time you don't even know the Bills player's names. Your the first one to try and slam someone else's blog and be sarcastic, yet I find your blogs pathetic and flat out absurd. Go ahead, be sarcastic once again, talk foul, be rude, question my knowledge, I don't care because I anticipate it and so does everyone else on here! You have become so predictable and trivial...Okay now, I here you trying to conjure up a nasty rebuttle as expected...Whatever you say next dude won't phase me as it's expected ! Anyways GO BILLS!! Buffalo's Buffalo Bills not Montreal's !
  13. At least I spend the time and make the effort to contribute as a blogger instead of just popping in with a little useless sarcasim. You don't know me from Adam "ScaredycatMessenger", so go back to the UFL or CFL or wherever u came from! I don't know if Chan Gailey and his crew will work out, but I hope and pray they do! I would have felt a little more confident if we would've hired Bill Cowher, Mike Shananhan, Marty Shottenheimer, John Gruden, or Brian Billick and I would imagine that the Bills fan base in general would overwhelmingly agree! What a silly little slash you tried to give me too! I know one thing for sure D. Jauron wasn't a good head coach and neither were the two before him!! As a matter of fact I do know my coaches quite well and I'd take Parcells in his prime anyday!! Couldn't stand him, but he was a great coach! Go back under your rock "ScaredycatMessenger "!
  14. One of the better posts I've read lately!!! I wouldn't use a 1st-3rd round pick for a RB either, wasn't Terrel Davis a 4th rounder for Denver?? Like you mentioned RB's can be had all throughout the draft, and I believe that !! It all starts with the lines anyways and Denver always had good running backs because the Offensive lineman made gaping holes for them to run through!! It's all about the "O" & "D" lines...and of course we need a QB that is at least good! Over the years just look at the successful teams QB's.....P. Simms, T. Bradshaw, R. Staughbach, J. Montana, S. Young, P. Manning, T. Brady, J. Kelly, B. Favre, and many others ! If we select the right QB in the draft, L OT, NT or DE and get those first 3 picks right like we used to in the late 80's/early 90's then we can screw most everything else and it won't matter too much. The key is to get quality players over quantity players, so I'd like to stockpile draft picks...but hopefully we're not stockpiling 6th & 7th round picks...because I'm tired of seeing N/E with (2) 1st round picks most years! Schobel is already retired in his mind so it's better to off-load him as once you start talking about it your already retired! I don't think much of Whitner at all, Kelsay is marginal, and they say that Williams had a good year overall..but with everythng else so drab I didn't even notice...The only thing I noticed were F. Jackson & J. Byrd doing an excellent job!! Lets get rid of that punk Lynch too! He's talented, but hasn't shown it, plus he's nothing but a pain in the butt! Yeah, this apple is rotten from the core! and we need to purge many and find good, solid team players who care about the game, and have the skills to lead us to the promised land !!! So one day we can celebrate like the Saints are now and I can look up to the heavens and let my Dad know that "WE" finallly did it and toast him as Bills fans everywhere embrace and know how painful it was and the patience it took to get that trophy "Lombardi" one day!! Let's get it started !!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I can not believe that 43% of the voters are okay with T.Edwards getting another shot at being the starting QB !!!!!!!!!! Are we just gluttens for punishment??? Has our fanbase gotten to the point that we have a loser's mentality and we are willing to go to no end to prove that a Bills or Sabres player will work out when it is obvious that the same results will prevail? It's sort of like making a cake using the same recipe and ingredients each time, but each time the cake turns out to be a flop even though you used the cheapest ingredients you could find at a discount supermarket !!! It's probably time to go to Top's or Wegmans and purchase some brand name products that are top shelf !!! If you get it?? Do you guys get it out there?? It's about time that the Bills spend the money in the right places for quality "products" and stop chasing mediocrity! I'd trade 7 of my 9 draft picks away to get DT Suh !! The key to success in all levels of an organization is Quality not Quantity ! I'd trad my whole draft away for the next Peyton Manning !! So it is evident that talent evaluation and the willingness to spend money for top tier talent is necessary if we are ever going to make a run at the Super Bowl !! It is obvious that we will not take this path as our approach. Ralph Wilson spends a lot of money, but has not spent it wisely. If he did he would have put disputes aside and kept Bill Polian or hired a proven General Manager. So we already have one strike against us before we even sit at the table. Then we hired mostly unknown coaches that were promoted one step from where they were when they assisted Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech isn't even the most prominent college in Georgia !! So, in the end it came down to dollars versus sense !! Yes, I unfortunately believe that the Bills are likely to keep Trent Edwards. It is cost effective and will keep the non-playoff streak alive for at least another year. I wish Ralph Wilson a continued long, healthy life, but I am afraid to say that as long as he is the owner of the team we should anticipate several more seasons of mediocrity and seasons reminiscent of last year, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before, and the before, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before as history once again unfolds and repeats itself !!!!!
  16. I had to sift through a lot of b.s. to get to a blog that made sense !!!! I don't want Lynch on the Bills..Personally he seems like a me guy who is a punk !! We were much better off when he was suspended..Jackson was rolling before Lynch intruded..I'd play poker and try to get a 2nd or a 3rd pick for him...but at the end of the day I'd take a 4th round pick and be glad that I got a partial return for a draft pick that wasted on an underachieving back who will be out of the leaugue before you know it dealing with his legal problems or in jail !! With all his faults Travis Henry was a better back than M. Lynch who is a star in his own mind and at his best he showed only a glimmer of light! This potential star likely has imploded and turned into a black hole of nothingless, and the best thing to do is to off-load him before he he pulls some of the younger guys into his dark, nothingless when it comes to being a team player and having the right attitude!!!
  17. and look how dominant K.C. has been ever since???? Remember, Barney Fife had a pistol too!! and he had a "habit" of shooting himself in the foot, just like the Bills probably will !!!!!!!! It's not like most of these coaches are world beaters! Most of them coached at some college in Georgia that wasn't even the best College in Georgia, others coache in the CFL where mostly 2nd rate players who couldn't make it in the NFL go, and then other coaches have such a prolific list of achievements in the NFL that most of Bills fans never even have heard of their name and had to punch it into the computer and determine who they are, and what credentials do they bring! I have heard of Chan Gailey, but he's not a household name! I never have heard of Modkins, and geez I can't even remember the other coaches names that were hired, and I bet hardly anyone out there including yourself would have been able to recognize many if any of these names prior to the hirings!!!! So, I don't understand the grounds quite yet for any optimisim, unless you run the Bill's finances and smile about all the money you saved by avoiding having to bring in anyone with significant accomplishmennts and notirioty!! Barring significant FA signings, and a Polian like impact draft my prediction for the 2010 season is: 5-11 !!!!! Here's something that I can offer that is much more significant than the above blog: That historically, just about every team that has switched from the 4-3 defense to the 3-4 defense has had a utterly pathetic season the following season that follows, and many of them have been worse than 5-11, so 5-11 at this point may be kind !!
  18. I wanted Ngata, I didn't want Mike Williams back in the day!, I wanted Orakapo last year so bad! So many times they try to outsmart everyone and our Bills fall flat on their face !! This year I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills dumbfound me once again and go for their traditonal CB in the first round or take a WR ! even though logic would say go after a DT, L OT, maybe a QB somewhere in the draft or if not a FA QB or both....
  19. Yes, Yes ! I have argued that point many times when people suggest the Bills should move down in the draft for more picks! I disagree with their philosophy even though I understand the reasoning. I think there is 3-5 players in this draft that may be future hall of famers someday and Suh should be one of them...there may be some hidden gems as well ! What it boils down to is Quality not Quantity !! I'd give up my 1st, 3rd, 6th, 6th, 7th, and 7th without blinking for SUH !!!!! If my hand was forced I'd consider giving up my 4th rounder too, but we really need the 2nd rounder to get a L OT if available, if not then the best player available at a position of need in which we have many! Heck, I'd throw in M. Lynch with those picks and give'em Roscoe Parrish, and T.Edwards too !!!!!!! I'm tired of mediocrity and mediocre players !!!!! G e T SUH Buffalo !!!!!!!!! Get SUH Buffalo !!!!!!!!!!
  20. I would love to get McNabb here in Buffalo, but I'm not willing to see the Bills give up multiple early round draft picks when they have so many glaring holes to fill. Maybe a trade such as Marshawn Lynch and a third rounder? or swap 1st round picks with them and include a later pick or player?? Just ideas. I just don't want to see them completely be empty handed when it comes to picking in the first two rounds!!
  21. So True! Dump Edwards!
  22. CORRECTION: 5 YARD DUMPOFF...
  23. Edwards can't throw it to his receiver when he has the time, and when the receiver is wide open, and he often overlooks the receiver wide open heading towards the endzone for the five year dump off! He has poor vision, lacks leadership ability, doesn't motivate his offense and sulks, can't sense a blitz or the pocket closing, and is terrible if the weather is not perfect !!!!!!! Just why again is Trent Edwards worth thinking about in any capacity or thinking that he will amount to more than some backup QB in the CFL or UFL???
  24. I agree with you about that full heartedly Loserman and Special EDwards both suck lemons!!!!!!!
  25. I agree with you 100% Good Job!
