  1. No joke, it's letit!! I just heard about a deal for D. McNabb which I posted...I know it's april fools..so I hope what I heard is reliable..but I also looked at the Twitter of Whitner which I've seen before and it confirms what I heard a few minutes ago!!!!!
  2. The Buffalo Bills have nothing to report today! There is no trade for Donovan McNabb! There is no speculation, rumors, or plans for the future! Hang on tight and remember to re-new your season tickets because the Bills organization has sent you a personalized letter with a picture of Brian Moorman punting the ball away against the Cleveland Browns. A really nice game that we lost in a low score close heartbreaker! We'll tread lightly and quietly say: go bills...shhhh ! Don't want to upset anybody with the trade rumors I posted earlier. That might get the blood pumping again and we don't want to do that do we. Let's hope we can keep the games close and squeak out a few wins for Coach Gailey! O.K. I better go before I stir the pot and make outrageous predictions, blogs, trade rumors. Let's stay safe and keep the games close!
  3. Wow! and I thought that I over-analyze things! I think some of his answers lack in revealing Chan Gailey's real thoughts and the plan the organization has regarding the QB situation. I think it would be a mistake to be purely on the level to the news media prior to the draft. I don't buy into the Scat back comment Gailey made about his intentions in the draft. I don't think they will use a 9th overall pick in this draft for a RB for a second! Philly's coach A. Reid didn't talk to McNabb until just the other day. It is a little premature to worry quite yet. I would believe the focus is on the draft and unless M. Lynch is traded he'll most likely be here for mandatory Bill's functions. I've had vacations that I classified as a "Short time", or "Short visit", and they lasted a weekend, a week, or even a little longer. I think you are reading too much into it and the evasive answers that Bill's management make. Relax, check out the 3 day draft, see who we get, see if we get anymore FA's, etc....Good news is that the Bills will field a team this year and have 22 starters on offense and defense. I will also guarantee they will we at least one game and that they will not win the Superbowl this year! Other than that, sit back in your easy chair, fire up the grill, and pop the popcorn because it will be okay, and the fans of the Bills really don't have a direct impact in what the Bills organization does anyways!
  4. Me personally, I am not a so-called Trent hater! I hate poor decision making, I hate when a QB can't sense defensive pressure and breakdowns which lead to fumbles and sacks! I hate when a QB can't read the defense and throws the ball to guys with the wrong colors on their shirts! I hate having a QB who plays bad in rainy weather, cold weather, foggy weather, snowy weather, in opposing stadiums, when the Bill's are down etc...I hate that he turned on Schonert which resulted in his firing and now is hiding by blaming the former coaches, etc...etc....It's sort of like the parent who keeps defending their kid growing up by saying it's the crowd he hangs with that's bad not poor little Trent ! Until one day little Trent becomes big trent and he moves out of the house...get's in trouble with the law! Daddy (D.J.) is no longer there to stick up for Trent. So he goes to jail as everyone realizes that it wasn't just the crowd he hung with that Trent was bad (stunk), He was just a bad character!!! Trent there is nowhere to hide, I don't hate you, but I don't like you either. Trent tread lightly and be good because Daddy's gone and there is nowhere to hide and nobody else to blame for your ineptitude!!
  5. Good news is that we are only 22 players away from having a Super Bowl caliber team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Da Billz
  6. I do !! Well not hate, but I don't like him at all !! He's not worth hating...he's an idiot, punk, who lacks moral character...all that momma's boy crap he tried to convince us of when he got here was a crock! To ride off after hitting some girl with your car is purely evil ! He thinks he's somethinng with his stupid gold tooth! What a showboat...Beast Mode my a#% ..... He starts to fall down after 2 yards anymore and he can't run the ball in the endzone when they only need a yard or two in the other teams red zone. I had high hopes for McGahee....woops I mean Marshawn..same difference, just another punk with wasted talent !!! Let the money and temporary fame go to his head...that's okay because in 15 years when you still here about Terrell Davis, LT, Walter Peyton, O.J., and the other great running backs his name won't even be mentioned because he is a waste of talent and immature (unless he makes drastic attitude adjustments that is...I always like to have a window of hope)..He has the potential to be a great one too! Until he changes I think he'll be in jail just like Travis Henry is..probably within the next 5 years and probably should be for the hit and run! TRADE HIM HE'S A BAD APPLE~~
  7. We only have 2 WR's on the roster including Hardy who has been mostly injured or a non-factor! I'm not saying we should draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd round, but we need to get one in the 3rd or 4th round and somehow still get a QB, DT/NT, and OLT, not to mention we could use more LB's, depth on the offensive and defensive lines. I do agree that we can skip the DB, RB, and TE position this year. I think we still need to pickup another couple of FA for depth and maybe to eliminate one of our most pressing needs. I don't we can go into this draft with the best player on the board mentality of the past when we have specific needs we need to fill and refuse to make an abundant splash in FA. We did pick up a couple of decent players though in FA that seem to fit the 3-4 philosophy.
  8. One of the worst mock drafts I've seen! Way too many reaches in the top#10....Colt McCoy way before Clausen?? What a joke!!
  9. Now I am excited...Not!! I believe even Trent "checkdown" Edwards has a good completion percentage...So what!
  10. You could be right, it remains to be seen...but I couldn't let your blog go by without dispute.. I think we will go more heavy on the Offensive side of the ball..I know for sure that our first 2 priorities should be OLT and QB !! I am not looking for anyone's agreement..it's just my personal feeling that we don't have a decent left tackle period. The QB may or may not be a high pick depending on their guy, but I'll bet the farm that they will select one! I also am sure that they will go for a WR with little doubt. They claim that they want a scat back so maybe a RB will be in the mix as well if that's not just a smokescreen. I do agree that they desperately need a NT, and some LB's as well. I would be a little p/o'd if they picked a DE high in the draft because they picked Maybe Maybin last year and Chris Ellis the year before in the capacity of DE's and so far they struck out! There are only so many selections they have and here is my preferences: Round #1 OLT 2 QB 3 NT 4 WR 5 OLB 6 LB 6 WR (I'm not sure thought we might have a 2nd 6th rounder?) 7 DE I think the Bills will likely do some trading up and down in this draft like Cleveland did last year to pick up additional picks, but here's what I think with what we have to work with. Looks like a even O / D split in selections with higher picks mostly for the Offense!
  11. Well pardon the pun but their uniform suits them! No matter how you dress up a pile of crap, it's still a pile of crap! I think if the team was worth the price of admission nobody would be worried about their uniforms! I don't think N.England's uniforms look any better than our's do, but somehow winning makes that uniform look a little brighter, a little more believable, a little shinier, and more popular with sports fans. What do the say? Winning takes care of everything!! Even us bored fans that have little left to talk about until the NFL Draft.
  12. That would be great! This needs to be a draft like we haven't seen since the 80's when we started to assemble parts like Bruce Smith etc....It's funny because Indy (B.Polian) assembled the team in the image of the '90 Bills. Piece by piece he self-admittedly put the team together. Peyton Manning was drafted in the image of Kelly, all he did was basically replicate what he accomplished in Buffalo. He followed the recipe card and put in the right ingredients. Now, roles being reversed we should emulate exactly what has made the Indy Colts organization successful and carefully add and subtract based on similar transactions and drafting. I know it's a bit different with the current FA system, and salary cap limitations, but we can build a winner here! It all starts with your QB, and your guys up front in the trenches. I am excited about this draft and hope that the 2010 draft is referred to the beginning of something special !!
  13. Well I had to start my reply over as I had Iupati late 1st/early 2nd, but I'm okay with the pick seeing that we picked up an additional 2nd rounder!! I was going to talk about the Tebow risks even though he has many intangibles on his side...but you also ruined that critisim I was about to embark on as we have another 2nd rounder to use for a high risk/high return or bust player like Tebow. So I'm okay with it!! Your blog is definitely one to read in its entirety before beginning to reply!lol I'd like to use that 2nd on a DT/NT but I guess you covered it sufficiently in the 3rd and I can handle that and I know we need some standard size 3-4 LB's instead of the undersized ones we have. So I am also okay with that as well even though I am not over familiar with a couple of these players. You got us that WR we need for our "O" as well so initially I would give you a "A" on your decision to trade-down and also in filling some glaring holes that we currently have. Hopefully your players all pan out...and I am glad we didn't have to look at the 6th & 7th round selections as they usually get cut, or make the practice squad! Great Job!
  14. Desperate for Bills Blogs I guess!! Reminds me they opened a new store at the McKinnley Mall: Rumors'R US ....... If Tebow were to come to Buffalo he wouldn't wear a Bills logo! How stupid!!!!
  15. Outstanding Post!!! Not too often I agree with so much of what one writes!! I have been saying the same stuff about the Bills and how they have drafted the past several years. I wasn't even crazy with drafting Roscoe Parrish, a little hesitant about Lossman, definitely p-o'd when they drafted Aaron Maybe Maybin!!! Nothing like going for the undersized player... I wanted Orakapo so bad and he fell in our laps!! Everette Brown slid hard as a DE and I thought we should've grabbed him as well...I did project Jairus Byrd in my War Room and was pleased with that pick. At the time I wasn't thrilled with Levitre, and Woods but they quickly grew on me with further research! The point is that you just can't MISS on your 1st pick especially just like your saying with a quirky move for an undersized DE !! He's definitely not your next Bruce Smith not that anyone else is, but Orakapo hmmm who knows yet? Build up your lines is common sense...how many times have I heard that games are won and loss in the trenches!!! Some of the Superbowls may have had different results if we had some of those Hogs!! (Yuck, I hate to say that). What a different organization compared to those S.B. Teams though....Nothing like having a GM like Polian! I am hoping that Buddy Nix and D. Whaley can have a similar impact. It's going to take a while regardless, but if we get that future franchise QB and pickup an experienced FA QB to mentor a newly drafted Rookie QB that's a start. I think we need to get OLT, DT/NT, WR, QB all in your first 4 rounds and still need DE/LB's as well. It's going to be tough to fill all the holes with just the draft!! I could see the Bills manuevering down a bit in the draft to pick up additional picks. I normally hate this idea, but their is quality in the first 20 picks in the draft and maybe they can still land their guy in the 10-19 range while picking up a 2nd or 3rd rounder! Well gotta run/Great Job!
  16. I wasn't too sure how a strike season would effect the NFL Draft in 2011 if at all? Would NFL Scouts still be getting paid and performing their duties?? How would this effect player development for rookies who miss an entire year?? Would their be scab players again like in the 80's??? I wonder if the UFL or whatever that new leaugue is called be effected by a NFL strike?? Would there be a SuperBowl if scab players played instead of regular players?? It might be our Bills best chance to win a SuperBowl!! lol....I would like to get thoughts and opinions and any factual information that might be out there on these questions.
  17. I don't think Curly, Larry, or Moe is the solution here! You get a experienced FA or trade for a experienced QB and draft a QB in the first few rounds if there is one the Bill's like?? I guess that's why they are going to get some time with Tebow, McCoy and whomever else. You hope to get a couple years out of the veteran you pick up who should be a good role model to mentor the QB you draft and develop. Meanwhile you draft an above average OLT as early as you can in the draft and pick up one with experience in FA for added depth if the price isn't too steep and there's one available. I don't see how the Bills will fill all the holes this year through the draft without heavily pursuing the FA market. I can see the Bill's moving around in the draft order and possibly trading up and down in this draft. Don't be surprised if they don't move down a time or two to pick up added draft picks. I don't always like moving down because the greatest spectrum of players are at your disposal with the higher pick, but we have some holes to fill and the organization has to tread carefully and draft smartly. I hope Trent Edwards goes away or is the third string this upcoming year!
  18. I think it's nice that you spent some time conjuering up this scenario, but I also think it's a pure waste of time making trade proposals that both parties of the deal haven't expressed any interest in. Even if the Bill's have shown interest in this fantasy (which I doubt) I doubt if San Diego has expressed interest. There aren't too many trades because if their is value to a player most of the time they don't want to give up that player unless they get at least fairly compensated in return. A highly desirable player often demands a high-salary and over-compensation. It's different with players that are just about washed up like a Drew Blesdoe or Donovan McNabb as the team where they currently reside realizes that they have a adequate player in reserve just waiting to replace the player on the trade block. Usually the player is older or getting older as well. With FA and the Draft there is a underwhelming need to trade for players. It happens, but this scenario doesn't have much of a chance to get off the ground from the get go.
  19. whatever......this post makes me want to puke ....to h@!! w/ Vick!
  20. Good blog! Tonight I am growing inpatient with this D. Mcnabb thing, The rumors, smokescreens, posturing ! If D. McNabb truly doesn't want to come here??? then the heck with him!!!!!!!!!! Of course I would be very excited initially if he was traded to Buffalo, but if that means he will only sign for one year or even two (as there is a relatively high probability it will be a strike season..) then it's just not worth doing when evaluating the overall prudence of trading for him. I for one would hate to see the Bills get into a bidding war with teams like ST.Louis and Oakland and whomever else may "really" be interested in McNabb. I think the smartest "move" after careful thought would be not making a move at all unless McNabb signs a 3 year contract that is incentive heavy and that we don't give up more than a 2nd round draft pick this year. I don't care if we throw in a mediocre player on our roster as we have plenty of those! But getting back to the point of my reply is that I believe Tim Tebow would gladly go to any team and give it his all to succeed. I believe in the intangibles!!! I believe that Tim Tebow would strive to succeed and success is practically all he knows! The power of belief is strong, a hard work ethic, the willingness to change, learn, improve, and have high set of morals and leadership ability. Although I have never been a fan of Tebow's or on his bandwagon I believe that he or someone else with similar chacteristics is what we want for "Our Team" !!! I think D. McNabb may play very well in spurts but he is on the downside. He is rounding the hill past his prime in a downward spiral. He is rumored to be a bit overweight and foot slow...He still has passing skills but that isn't always his best attribute. I think we'll get one good season out of McNabb and that's about it if we traded for him. You do remember the highly anticipated Drew Blesdoe that was the so-called answer to our desires?? Also after thinking about it...We really need our 2nd round pick and what if we could find Tebow or another QB with potential in the 2nd. At least we may have the possiblity of having someone for the next 10 years if they pan out!!! Sure there is risk drafting a QB...But Donovan McNabb doesn't have 10 years left, 9,8,7,6,5,4 years left... at best 3 years and probably 1 or 2 years which may include a strike season in which there are no games. What would it accomplish having McNabb for just one season...besides selling seats at the Ralph??? even if they had a decent draft, filled a few holes, learned the 3-4, avoided the injury plague etc....I can't see the Bills winning more than 8 or 9 games if everything fell into place perfectly!!! That won't be enough to get to the playoffs!! So what's the point when it's more likely that the Bills will win approx. 5 games...maybe 6 or 7 because of the upgrade in QB with McNabb....I finally have talked myself into drafting our franchise QB of the future !!! Do you think the Jets regret it??? How about Indy back when they landed Peyton Manning?? How about New Eng. with Brady??? Sure the risk of Ryan Leaf exists!!! But it does at OT ie: Mike Williams, at WR Roscoe Parrish, etc.... Get that OLT, QB, DT/NT, WR in the draft and maybe we'll have tasty gravy eventually instead of day old poorage!!!!!! I am finally beginning to see the light of what Buddy Nix has been talking about in reference to building through the draft. Historically, each time I think I have the Bills organization figured out they surprise me and outdo themselves by making a bad personnel decision. I will be monitoring this whole situation carefully as I believe it will forshadow the organizations philosophy now and in the near future. If Buddy Nix avoids making this trade in the end and drafts a QB, then I will finally start to believe that they have become "Serious" about winning in the future instead of trying to plug a hole for the short-term which hasn't worked out well for us in the past. It will sell tickets getting McNabb and then eventually we'll be just as excited to hang up his cleats for good as I don't envision him as being the long-term answer to the equation!! Drafting wisely and keeping your talent prior to a player become a FA is what I hope the Bills will do as we put the pieces together. Let's go Buffalo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Hi Russ! How's the Brandon family doing today?? I know it's gotta be an insider talking that optimistic! lol
  22. We could offer that for starters..but I don't think they would go for that...maybe for Vick?? I think it will take a 2nd rounder at least and may require a marginal player or late round draft pick as well...But hey it's worth a shot I suppose! 3RD for McNabb would be a steal!
  23. Can you pass me a fork please!!!!!! lol
  24. Yeah So! What's your point? I'd hate for you to be shocked...What a pathetic post, and I feel stupid for acknowledging it! Almost as significant as small talk to a stranger on a elevator!! Same impact though as many of the Bills drafts from the past!
