NFL.com's Lombardi ranks AFC teams.
tonyjustbcuz replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bitter-sweet! It bothered me a lot at the time, but there is a deep feeling of pride that our Bills kept going back and trying again four consecutive times! The heartache that the Bills must have endured in each SuperBowl loss but, yet they found a way back 4 times total...that really should be applauded, and I am proud and respect each of them for their determination and tenacity even though we didn't win the ultimate prize. Go Bills! -

Why the Bills drafted CJ Spiller
tonyjustbcuz replied to iLikeChix's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All good points, but overall I don't think that C.J. Spiller will be a match-up problem at all next year. The Offensive line is still relatively poor yet. I think the offensive line is on the upswing and with continued improvement could become average. Remember it all starts with the Offensive line to open up holes for the RB's and to give the QB time in the pocket when passing. The WR postion is undermanned and inexperienced except for Lee Evans are WR's are unproven and may be more of a liability than a plus. This makes our Offensive game likely to be more of a one dimensional attack. I think it is easy to say with little doubt that our QB positon is below average and isn't likely to change anytime soon with the same QB's on the roster. I know, I know..Chan Gailey is good with QB's generally, but he has his work cut out for him this time! I don't think we have successfully solved this puzzle this season. I think throughout the year this will be an obvious shortcoming of the team and lend itself to making the offense even more one dimensional as the coaches will probably lose confidence in the passing game. The focus will probably be on running the ball and the opponents defense will play up anticipating a runninng play most of the time. I just don't see at this point where any RB except for maybe Barry Sanders (back in the day) would be too difficult to contain considering all the other positional deficiencies that remain because they haven't been properly addressed. I do agree that it appears that C.J. Spiller has future Pro-bowl potential based on his college career and what he should bring to the team in the future, but I don't see him having an adequate opportunity to produce quite yet until the Bills fill some voids at other positions on the offense. Also, the Bills have holes on defense as well and until they are shored up properly will lose the time of possession game and limit the amount of offense snaps the team will have during each game. Remember a good defense makes for a better Offense as the offense will have more opportunities to make a play. I think that Chan Gailey trying to be a head coach and call all the offensive plays (as Modkins is incapable yet due to the fact that he has never been an offesive coordinator at any level before) is a bad thing. There is a reason why most teams have positional coaches, coordinators, and a head coach and I think that the team functions at a higher level if each of those positons are traditionally filled with coaches that have experience at the coaching positon they are hired for. Also, I think the offense would perform better following the same logic. So far, at least from what I have read to date is that the Bills will likely designate about 12 plays a game to C.J. Spiller. Although it is up to him and the players around him to maximize his production based on his touches; it doesn't project him to total big numbers this season. Even if he averaged 5 yards a carry which is better than average he'd only have about 60 yards a game! Not big numbers in fantasy or real football by any measure. 6 Yards a carry would give him 72 yards a game. If the Bills run 3 Rb's and hold on to Lynch this season I think they will be inclined to try to share the wealth of carries equally among all three RB's unless their is a substantial difference in production between the three of them. Like I said, I think there will be a lack of opportunity between limited carries, and talent deficiencies on the Bills to give C.J. Spiller the potential to shine like a Gem this year. I do hope you are right and I am wrong, and the Bills win 10 games this year, C.J. Spiller runs for over a thousand yards, and the coaches do a fabulous job, and a future franchise QB comes from this mix, but looking at things realistically I just don't see any of these things happening based on what I have witnessed! 2010 season prediction 5-11 -
I am only basing what I am saying on the title that Jauron was the problem...I didn't have enough time to read the entire blog although it seemed well put together. I only know that Jauron wasn't part of the solution, I think he was a problem, but I think the Bills have/had many problems both organizationally and as a team. I have been saying for a while now that Tom Modrak needs to go away. He has ample time to positively add to a team that has many holes to fill. He has missed more than he has hit by a big margin regarding drafts, and the only reason he is still here is that he has a good working relationship with D. Whaley who came over from the Steelers. Whaley is held in high regard and should help the Bills management internally in the future. But, because Modrak is part of that good 'ole boy network that remains he will stay put. It is worrisome that the Bills choose not to properly address QB and Left tackle. Supposedly, the Bills like Wang and possibly feel that he could fill the void...but I am not convinced as his college scouting reports clearly state that he was a consistent underperformer, that sometimes lacked in initiative and failed to give max effort in practices. (Mike Williams II?) I think we made a token effort by choosing Levi Brown QB in the 7th round of the draft. Maybe enough to leave some room for optimism in some people's minds that he may one day become a starting QB in the NFL. I don't know the answer to this, but I'd be curious to find out just how many 7th round QB's became successful franchise QB's in the last 20 years ? Maybe a few? Maybe none? I wouldn't bet the house on it working out! By the way that's not pessism like a few on here would lead you to believe. That's just facing the facts, based on history, and based on the likelihood that he'll be the next Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, or Joe Montana. So so far, Jauron, Modrak, the draft, including drafting a RB with your 1st rounder when your stocked at that position and have dire needs, plus the team continually creates additional hole by not competing with other teams when it comes to keeping players like....Nate Clements, Jabari Greer, Pat Williams, Antwoine Winfield, etc....(many more)... Also, deciding that we want Toronto to take some of our games eliminates our home field advantage pretty much for those games. It's not home turf...Toronto is a remarkable place, but it's not home for us or the team!!! Part of the problem is Ralph remaining as the owner! He's frugal in the wrong places at times...especially when hiring a coach that was out of football entirely on his couch playing Madden! It may prove to be a great hire, but it was a cheap hire compared to most options and I have my doubts until the Bills prove otherwise!!! So was Jauron the problem, was G. Williams, Malarkey ?_ Not entirely, it starts from the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are some of you so Pessimistic?
tonyjustbcuz replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've never heard of a realistic optimist before? Maybe the term exists, but it's new to me. I try to be a realist generally speaking and I am optimistic or pessimistic at times based on educating myself on the subject matter prior to forming my opninion. I want to be optimistic about this year's team and the directiion that we are heading into the future, and do appreciate what you are trying to convey. I cannot say at this time that I share your realistic optimism in the product that the Bills will likely offer in the upcoming season. I guess, based on the points I tried to make in my other reply I am a realistic pessimist based on what I have observed. I won't put everyone through a long blog like the other one, but I think I am not a pessimist by nature and am very well adjusted and optimistic about many other things. I hope you continue to drink from the fountain of eternal optimism pilsner, and look very much forward to your comments at the end of week #17 to see if you remain optimistic about the Bills and their future. Hope you had a nice 4th of July -
We will beat Miami in our first regular season game...

I had to open up and take a looksee, as I figured Donte Whitner was guarantee'ing something again! I hope you are right, but I don't think our first win comes to week #5 against Jacksonville! Hope I'm wrong!! -
Why are some of you so Pessimistic?
tonyjustbcuz replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also hope that Gailey is the guy, but I'm not optimistic like you are. I wish I were, but their draft told me a lot about the direction the Bills are going and in my opinion it is south. We agree about OLT & QB positions not being properly addressed, but I think we will be saying the same things after a 5-11 season plays out! Just like the Fram oil filter commercials use to say...u can pay me now or pay me later!!! We'll probably pay w/a poor record rather than payin big bucks at QB and OLT ! The Bills 1st win probably won't come until week #5 at home against Jacksonville IMO....I hope that's not the case and they win them all, but that would be irresponsible to predict, but it would fulfill optimism based on love for the team only! -
Why are some of you so Pessimistic?
tonyjustbcuz replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank You!!!! I agree with you fully and will attempt to give a break down of some of what I see... I'm optimistic or pessimistic based on the realities that I see after careful analazation(lol). If Pilsner really did their research they would realize the following: That in almost every instance (if not every one), a team who switches their base defense from 4-3 to 3-4 typically has a terrible year statistically in the initial year of the change including a very poor win/loss record. My prediction is 5 wins and according to history that is very "optimistic" given history which normally dictates 1-4 wins. This team has not drafted well in the past decade or longer, and that's a fact! Just because they have a high ratio of draftees that become starters doesn't mean that the caliber of the player is typical of starter material on your better teams. Most of our roster would not start in New England, or Indy, and several other "winning" teams. We seem to veer away from the popular assesment of other teams scouts, and our board is much different on draft day than the consensus of talent evaluators inside the NFL and of prominent publications. Of the 20 small school prospects listed in the draft guide..I believe it was The Sporting News...We drafted or signed as FA's 5 of these players! 25% !!! Now, I like Easley at WR from everything I've read, but...and it's a big butt!!! Usually these small school prospects don't pan out! Sometimes they do and someone out there will provide a list I'm sure! First thing is that the measurables are deficient in some way... HT/WT/ 40 Yard dash times / injury prone / intellect/ law & moral etc....but typically there is a reason they weren't heavily recruited....Also the talent level is not on par with the big schools neither. When the player jumps to the NFL they usually no longer dominate the competition as they did against inferior competition. Point made! The Bills have severe needs and have not properly addressed them. The Bills also create their own failures and roster holes by grooming the few talented players they have, and then when it's time to re-up at FA time they refrain from coming to terms with the player ie: Antwoine Winfield, London Fletcher, Pat Williams, Nate Clements, Jabari Greer, and many others. Do you think Ralph will pay to keep J. Byrd when the time comes? No! So, what do we do with our patchwork mentality? We ignore our need at QB and OLT and draft a RB? Yet we keep the bad apple who is rotting away so he can mentor little junior? What gives? Wang isn't a franchise tackle and sometimes lacks drive/effort...Mike Willims II Winning organizations typically win! They almost always keep their winning GM's ! Polian went to Indy and designed a winner based on the 1990 Bills! He even admits it, and the similarities are striking! He brought winning to Indy and hasn't stopped yet! Ralph hires on the cheap....at least in NFL terms. He found someone to coach who was entirely out of football for a couple of years. Gailey was on his couch playing madden at the time! The only close contacts he had were with former assistant's to the second best College team in Georgia! He could only get them to coach by promising them to move them up one slot from what their college football duties were. Modkins is OC in title only as he has 0% experience as a OC !! Gailey will also play OC on the sidelines besides being a head coach! What a joke this whole endeavor is! The Bills will be lucky if they start better than 1-5 based on their schedule. Where do some people find 8, 9, or 10 wins? at Packers, at Patriots, at Jets, at Dolphins, Steelers, at Vikings, Browns-we lose to them every year lately, Jets at home-they are stocked up w/talent, Dolphins at home, Patriot's at home, at Baltimore? That's 11 losses unless they steal a game or two! They had the Jets number recently so maybe a win there? So, Pilsner wants optimism? Well no disrespect towards him, but he/she talks about doing research yet provides nothing of value to mention except that we should basically be blindly optimistic of a team who has a poor track record from top to bottom and who has done little if anything to change that perception! So just why again am I suppose to be optimistic about the 2010-2011 season? -
My GUESS is Spillrt at #2 WR
tonyjustbcuz replied to GrudginglyPessimistic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
based on the setiment that M. Lynch will probably not be traded, that there isn't enough of a workload for 3 capable running backs, and that Spiller may be used exclusively as a #2 WR (or at least part-time)...Why didn't we just draft a true WR instead of going through the process of trying to basically convert a RB with pass catching abilities. Just like when we drafted Aaron Maybin as a DE even though he became somewhat of a project who we needed to convert to a OLB. Instead I would have drafted Brian Orakapo as a True DE and a WR to catch the ball. Makes me think that next year after the EdFitzBrohm experiment proves fruitless that we'll draft a WR to be our franchise QB when considering the Bill's braintrusts' logic! 5-11 oh no!! -
I agree with you on all that.....I'm okay with a looksee, especially if they've lost confidence in Brown or even Brohm whom I'm hoping wins the QB competition! I think in the end it'll be Edwards though as he's probably their biggest investment. Even so, I don't think Edwards will make it through the season without injury/concussion or playing himself out of the role! Just keep (or start) bringing in FA's in like a revolving door until we find one that sticks! Edwards, Fitzpatrick IMO are not the answer and it's not likely Brohm is neither. Brown is a unknown element that I'm willing to wait up to 2 years on.....Unfortunately, (ironic statement) the Bills braintrust will make these decisions, and to date I lack confidence in their abilities until they prove otherwise!!
-
If I were Buddy Nix I'd pick up 2 QB's either FA's or a trade or whatever means necessary and hope that at least one of them pans out! I'd also cut, trade, or do whatever it takes right afterward by getting rid of Trent Edwards and Fitzpatrick! I'm just so done with the both of them, but I doubt the organization will do that. I see a long, losing 5-11 or worse year, that the coaches give these 2 QB's every opportunity to prove themseleves all so we can hear them say at the end of the season that we now know through the process of the season that we need to pursue a franchise QB. I'd like to skip that whole process and just do it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No you didn't miss anything...Gailey has mentioned the three QB's who are competing for the starting position on multiple occasions. The very first time I heard about the competition, I thought I heard them or him mention that all 4 QB's were competing for the starting role, but as time wore on....he repeatedly has mentioned that the three...Edwars, Fitz, and Brohm were competing for that role. I thought I heard him say that it's close...and it sounded to me that he was talking in reference to two of the 3 QB's in the competition. I made the assumption that one is Edwards, and by his follow-up remarks about "Brohm making a jump" I felt as though Brohm is the other. I just don't see Fitzpatrick filling that role even though I personally don't want Edwards to fill those shoes neither. Well, that's just my take for what it's worth...and I could be wrong.

Pessimistic Fans Should be Heard Too
tonyjustbcuz replied to mpl6876's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have grumbled about the Bills on here for a while now...I got lectured for being so negative when I felt as though I was being realistic in my assesment of the Bills. I tried being an optimist for a week and put a positive spin on things. But, I really had to dig deep and hard to reach optimistic conclusions on most fronts. I really think the Bills are a 5-11 team this year and I have been saying that before the schedule even came out. Looking at the schedule I am concerned that the Bills may not even reach that win total. They would have to beat the teams they should beat like K.C. and Detroit and have to pull one or two out of the hat as they are over matched early and often. They may be able to beat Jacksonville, and should be able to beat Cleveland, but they have not fared well even against them the past few years. This organization sure have made some head scratching moves over the past several years in hirings, firings, and selecting personnel in the draft. I still don't understand how the heck we selected Maybin over B. Orakapo at DE. That was such a gift and we turned it down without an afterthought! This year our 2 most pressing needs were OLT and QB and we waited until late in the draft and took chances on projects that are iffy at best! QB is almost always a chancy selection in the draft except for maybe Peyton Manning, and these upper management people in the Bills War room are not willing to take a chance on a potential franchise QB. The Bills just about always shock me with their inept assesment of college talent. I mean these people are supposed to be experts, and it's not just talent...but they fail to recognize the need to fill holes that they often create themselves by not being willing to pay a player NFL value prior to them jumping ship in FA. It's really self-defeating creating additional holes each year when your ship is sinking! Nate Clements, Jabari Greer, Anwoine Winfield, Pat Williams, and you could just continue to add names to that list. Unfortunately, the Bills have not even adequately filled those holes that have accumulated over the past several years. Who did we ever replace Pat Williams with? Were they as good? No! etc.... I just hope that when the time comes that Jim Kelly and his associates come up with the necessary funds to keep this team in Buffalo and take a different approach than this organization from top to bottom currently takes. There is a reason why successful GM's typically win, and the same teams are winners.....then slouch and rebuild...and become winners again...look at Indy with Bill Polian...He brings winning wherever he goes. He knows the winning formula and is not hindered by his owner. Pittsburgh is a winning organization, and New England will bounce back and knows about winning. San Diego has been in and out and back in the winning frenzy over the years. These are all good organizations and the Bills are just a cut above Detroit which may change after Detroit's last couple of drafts. I am not typically a pessimist, but I am pessimistic about the Bills of 2010-2011 with reason to be. I hope for the best and expect the worst. If nothing else, I hope Trent Edwards's GPS points him to a new destination by years end. I'll root for him, and then if there is pressure, or he's playing a good team, or it's snowing, raining, windy, muddy, loud, or his head hurts he'll probably fall apart or get injured once again! History, just like in winning tends to repeat itself. We haven't made the necessary to make the appropriate roster changes to indicate any changes in the wind! 5-11 -
good blog! I would like to see Brohm as the starter as I feel (at least I am satisfied) that we know for sure of what Fitzpatrick is capable of doing, and I believe I know what Edwards is capable of, but I don't feel that Edwards will deliver what he is capable of achieving once he faces the slightest bit of adversity. One thing I do know for sure is that Brohm is the least experienced and I would feel like anything (both good or bad) is possible with Brohm. The sky is the limit, he's young, was drafted higher than the other 2 QB's and had a better College Football career than the other two QB's as well. So, even though I have a nasty feeling that C. Gailey will go with Edwards...I am looking at and wanting to see what the darkhorse Brohm would be like as a starter. I agree with you that Trent always looks better in practice than in games, and he probably will look good until it starts raining, or gets a little cold, or plays an away game, or plays against a winning team, or he gets sacked a couple of times, plays a division foe, plays against the 3-4 Defense, nicks his finger or hand, gets a little windy, hails, is too sunny, get's a concussion, has jet lag, has a cold, has to go pee, didn't knock on wood, or gets yelled at by his coach...then it all caves in and we'll have the Trent of old !!!! I guess on second thought...I really can't stand Trent Edwards at all as our QB, I think he's a head case, and the minute the coaching staff begins to fight to keep their jobs he'll throw them under the bus like he did to Schonert 1st, then Van Pelt 2nd, and then his buddy Dick Jauron 3rd. Let's go BB (Buffalo Bills) & Let's go BB (Brian Brohm)!!!!

Tom Modrak Must Go !!!!!!!!!!&
tonyjustbcuz replied to tonyjustbcuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I suppose if I was writing for Popular Mechanics or Rolling Stone I would worry about paragraphs and proper sentence sturcture, and punctuations. But, this is just some blogs about football which isn't the type of format that I am going to worry about proper literacy. I appreciate your input as I believe you wrote the same clever comment last week. I will take that under advisement though and may even consider implementing a more formal writing technique next time around. (Not). Hope you have a nice day and become less troubled about such trivilalities. -
After many years of Tom Modrak being in the organiztion and playing a vital role in our NFL Draft. I just fail to understand why he is still in the Bills organization. The Bills have had several blunders in the draft and in my opinion it continues. Last year taking Aaron Maybin over Bryan Orakapo DE was obviously not a swift move and it was easy to realize from the onset that choosing a undersized Maybin was a bad selection when Orakapo was the consensus best DE in the draft by a good margin. Modrak has been a key to why the Bills pick who they do and this year choosing a RB over a OLT or QB was highly questionable in many fans and experts alike opinions. These are just two of many examples of his poor contributions to our drafts. Greg Williams wanted us to draft a QB that was available when the Bills made their first round selection when he was the head coach here. That QB is playing for New Orleans Saints now and is wearing a Super Bowl ring already!!!!!!!!!! Modrak didn't agree with Greg Williams and we all grew to despise Williams as a head coach. Looks like we despised the wrong guy! I am trying to remember when they took Mike Williams as OLT and if Tom Modrak was here at that time? I believe he was, and what a great (not) pick that turned out to be with the 4th overall selection in the draft. My vote is yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put it up on a banner for all to see!! Tom Modrak must go!!! Then maybe we'd draft a franchise QB for once instead of resorting to a 7th round pick to select a QB. I hope this topic is a little different than what's been up and running lately as it's sure boring being a Bills fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2010 Bills prediction 5-11
-
As unlikely as it may be for another QB to be added to the Bills roster this year, I think the fans are just bored with the Bills offseason and lackluster initiative to do anything outside of the draft. So it becomes hard to face the probable notion that we are stuck with these 4 QB's for the season regardless of other outside developments in the NFL. Even though its all suppose to be even-steven for the 3 QB's vying for the starting job, I think you can take it to the bank that Trent Edwards will be the starter (like it or not) in September. I just hope he clearly distinguished himself as a good QB or lousy QB right from the first snap of the first game! I don't want to see him play marginally and hang on to the starting job all year even though we're losing. Just go one way or the other (hopefully do great!) so we finally have a dependable starter or play so rotten so we can dispose of you and move in another direction. On another note...If the Bills QB's all fail this year, and our OLT position still struggles...you know what that means for the 2011 NFL Draft don't you???? It means the Bills will draft a CB with their 1st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft !!!!! (Sarcasm)...lol, but maybe not seeing how we choose a RB this year! Go back to January and at that time if someone said we'll pick a RB with our 1st pick you'd probably tell them their nuts, and how we need a OLT, QB, DT/NT, WR, & LB's all before a RB! But they still did it...and the organization has convinced many fans that it's good medicine for you to swallow...and a lot of fans have swallowed it and are fine with the pick. (But not me...) I personally think it was insane!

Norfolk VA to get 2011 UFL franchise...Bills connection
tonyjustbcuz replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It'll be interesting! I lived in Va Beach for 9 years when I was in the military. One thing that I remember is that many people that live there maybe the majority are not originally from there. Some are just on a three or four year tour then they are gone somewhere else....alot of the sailors are in and out all the time. I don't see where they would sustain a professional franchise. It seems as everyone is from another place or going to another place shortly...Even though Jacksonville doesn't do to well in supporting the Jaguars franchise I think that Norfolk would even do a worse job at supporting a football team. I can't remember any significant football stadiums there and when I was there from '89-98 the college teams there didn't have sufficient stadiums even at their level. Maybe there were some changes made to ODU's and Norfolk's college fields, but I doubt they would sufficiently house a Pro football team. Well, then again this is the UFL that we are talking about! -

What's the coolest "Bills thing" you ever did?
tonyjustbcuz replied to EastRochBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well at least I won't feel guilty replying as I write novels too!...lol.... #1 Going to a Bills/Miami playoff game in Miami with my Wife and young daughter back in the early 90's when we had Flutie/R. Johnson. Can't remember the year, but in the end we lost a close game...a fumble or something near the goal line I believe. Anyways, We drove 24 hours to get to Miami, and did it in about 28hours or so. I did most of the driving and was exhausted. We had our minivan decorated with Bills writing and paraphanalia. When we got on I-95 in Florida we suddenly started to get a hard time! People were purposely messing with us, switching into my lane just barely in front of us without turning signals like they were trying to cut us off...It was horrible...Different vehicles would mess with us, and keep trying to cut us off. Then as we started to get closer people were swinging their dolphins out the window trying to outdo us. When we got within a few miles of their stadium it was pooring rain like a monsoon! I had to get gas and parked under a partial covering. I decided to use my credit/debit bank card instead of going back and forth with cash. The cashier told me that their was a problem with my card and step inside. I was getting drenched of course and you could tell the two punky guys thought they were funny. So I get back outside (I really needed gas bad)..and the pump begins and then stops and one of the guys told me they had to reset the pump and to step inside again...I do so and get more drenched! I'm trying not to show how p.offed I am getting....We played this game a time or two more and finally they let me get gas and be off. I pull into the stadium parking lot and I guess I was a little earlier than security liked so they told me to come back in about an hour. I drove around and wasted some time...and now I was two hours before game time as instructed. I drove to the will call parking lot and security turned on the lights and sirens on their SUV. They followed me and stopped me even though I wasn't doing anything at all wrong. They asked me a few questions and I told them that I was picking up my tickets at Will Call. They responded by telling me to come back tomorrow they are closed! I explained that it was game day morning and I needed my tickets prior to the game..but they messed with me a little more...Finally they let me proceed to will call and I picked up my tickets. Unfortunately, there was a mix up they said with my tickets and they put me in the endzone almost right next to their team mascot. Some Roman like guy that kept pointing at me and my family (yes we had our bills shirts and hats on). By this time I was exhausted from the drive and really wanted to be left alone. The usher asked to see our tickets as we walked down to our seats. I remember that older guy saying that we needed to take our seats and be quiet. He told us (me in particular) that if he saw me standing up or yelling or anything that I would be removed from the stadium. We quietly sat down and kept quiet as we were in enemy territory and were receiving derogatory comments already from the fans. People were throwing peanuts and empty cups at us without any cause, except we had Bills shirts on. This continued throughout the game and then every few minutes their mascot would point at me and so would would many of their fans! They were yelling stuff at me and I just kept quiet and hoped the Bills would win. After it was obvious we blew it and were going to lose people were rubbing our noses in it even more, throwing more stuff at us and yelling obsenities as well. We went to our car quickly and I removed all the Bills writing and stuff on the sides of the vehicle. People would still mess with us when they saw our license was from NY State and their were probably license frames saying Bills or Sabres on them. It was a long ride back and as far as I am concerned I hate the Fins and always will! Later, I will give story #2 and 3...but my fingers are worn out now! squish the fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Yeah they did...I think it was Roscoe, although I'm probably wrong!

I agree with you and said basically the same thing in a prior post.....It's a no-brainer to me that Fitz will never be more than a career backup with occasional starting duties at QB when injury dictates. I don't particularly like T.E. or think he will ever make it as a starter, but I never thought that Todd Collins would still be in this league after the horrendous tour in Buffalo. So, I guess one more year of T.E. on the roster is acceptable if we're not going to make any QB transactions prior to the season. It is a no-brainer that Levi whatever his last name is... gets a free pass as a rookie, and as long as Brohm is progressing on the field and learning how to absorb a NFL playbook he won't likely go away quite yet. So, Goodbye Fitzy...I appreciate your effort, but your probably going to be the odd man out! With the 1st pick of the 2013 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select QB Nick Montana (Joe Montana's son..)! -
Brohm's Starting Chances in Buffalo

So in a nutshell it'll be Trent Edwards..which I already figured seeing that he is still here and this organization doesn't like to admit when they make a mistake and like to spend a decade repeating the same mistakes over and over again! Even if T.E. performs well in the training camp and pre-season I know that at least so far he is a very poor QB when it's cold, when it's raining, in the fog, or on away games, and at Toronto, when the O-line has injuries, when he has minor boo-boos, after a concussion, when he has to answer to more than one coach, when it's windy, against playoff teams, on the west coast, in florida, and on the east coast. He is good in week #1 or #2 if they play at home, it's partly sunny, about 67 degrees, little wind, and the Bills are playing a bad team like Oakland, St. Louis, or Detroit, and the O-line gives him all day, and the WR's are wide open....in those instances he's good for 180 yards and at least 1 TD!!!! Too bad we have to waste another year to reach the same conclusion that we've reached the past couple of years once again!!! -
I don't like Lynch and as far as I am concerned I hope he sits out the whole season. I don't even care anymore if we trade him, unless we can swing a really good deal for him (which isn't too likely). Maybe he knows he's already gone (trade process) and tried to go through the motions for a couple of days...Maybe there is some truth to the potential trade rumors with...I believe the Seahwaks? Well, that's fine too! Him not being here is addittion by subtraction and I now am convinced that Buddy Nix knew that Lynch wasn't in the plan for 2010 !!! Last year Fred Jackson was on fire until Lynch returned off of suspension. I think the Bills will have a great RB Tandem in Spiller and Jackson with Joique Bell being the 3rd back on the roster. We don't want Lynch, Don't need Lynch, and I hope he stays away or he's gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
