  1. Well technically they were traded owners with Boston to stop Boston from moving, so even though was buffalo that moved, it was Boston's owner that moved them, as NBA didn't want to loose that city but didn't mind loosing ours.
  2. My opinion on that is he took a team known for being able to rush just 4 linemen and consistently get pressure, and average linebacking core that wasn't asked to do too much, and changed their focus. The linebackers are not asked to rush cover and be the main disruptive force on the team, and the d-line is asked to create holes and keep the linebackers clean to be disruptive. Considering we don't exactly have elite linebackers he basically marginalized the strength of the defense and highlighted a weakness.
  3. Love the thought, but till we figure out how to beat the patriots, its not going to happen.
  4. So your saying they should have just skipped the competition and had Meh starting from beginning? Can see saying being decided earlier, but no way Taylor wins it without a competition.
  5. But someone from bills once said at beginning of training camp that he was their favorite, so he has to be the best they had this year.
  6. Except running routes past first down marker and getting open consistently.
  7. I disagree with the praising of someone by a coach as being sign of them not being on the same page. If your trying to get value for something, wouldn't you want to advertise that in a positive light? Why not have his coach's make positive remarks. Plus, while is nice to have a QB coaching fellow players, but would rather have the higher pick, and more work for the play with more upside myself. Agree that they didn't have a QB that was ready to play, but was that completely Whaley's fault, or was it lack of QB Coach and coaching of players had a large part of reason?
  8. Voted McCoy Because Dixon hasn't looked good at all, so we are Depending on one player to shoulder all the load at a position till he gets healthy, while our WR's have bit more depth of talent currently. In both cases their backups have put up better numbers so calling that a wash.
  9. Can understand his point, seems like one or two people trying to bash Sammy anytime mentioned on a thread, would be nice to be able to have a positive talk without all the mellow dramatic bashers jumping in.
  10. So your looking for him to do nothing but short passes and dump offs or toss it up and hope the receiver wins on longer ones then. You do realize that it takes 3-4 seconds for mid/long routes to develop like deep in/outs and comebacks. Takes 4-5 seconds for double moves and post, flag type routes. If you want to make the other team not stack the box you either have to be like Brady and be extremely accurate and know exactly where all your receivers are and read the defense before the snap to make the quick throws, or be a west coast offense and abandon the run game mostly because they will be all up on the line. Not saying there shouldn't have been some adjustments made due to the lack of time, but its tough to say if all of it was TT's fault of if the plays that were called took longer to develop than he had time wise. Considering how little experience he has, and how good their defense is at disguising coverages and confusing even all-pro QB's, I though that once he settled down and got used to the defense and what it was doing, he play surprisingly well.
  11. May be bit early for talking about how awesome offense is doing till they hit a better defense. New England lost a lot of talent on defense, Colts are known to be suspect on defense, and Jets have been struggling. Its not like we've hit a top defense that's been playing well yet. I do agree the offense is playing a lot better than many expected, but lets keep in mind the competition before start saying were one of the best on that side.
  12. It doesn't appear that Watkins and Taylor are completely comfortable with each others game yet. With Watkins missing so much of training camp recovering from hip surgery, and the 3 way competition for QB, they really haven't had a lot of time working together yet. It may take till mid season before they're completely comfortable knowing what the other will do in a given situation. Seems like Harvin has the most chemistry with Taylor at this point.
  13. Was mentioned earlier that he did play some special teams plays in preseason. He either just didn't have the drive for it, cause special teams is as much about effort and desire as skill, or wasn't as good as the other options. I question his ability to follow the plays designed and keep up with the playbooks myself. Watching some of film on him last year, didn't seem like he went to right hole often, and he sucked at pass blocking. So IMO, may not have just been the special teams play that killed him. May have been lack of ability to do more that just break off a big play once in awhile, but lack of being able to be a complete back.
  14. Fred doesn't play special teams, so wasn't directly competing with Boobie. If was on team he would have been the one not dressing as wouldn't be able to cover the special teams role. We have to field 6 different special teams units. No matter what you think, we need enough competent special teams player to field all of those positions. Not all of them show up on stats sheets so its tough for people watching on TV or looking at stats to know whos doing their jobs well or whos just out there.
  15. Think the main difference between the two, was the Bills player cleared his block and dove to try and block the punt, so was his own act the put him in the punters way. While the Colts player was blocked into his position, so isn't a penalty as was result of being blocked into the punters feet.
