  1. I would be. He wants to win first and foremost so of course he would prefer Brady not in the game. Just false bravado now. Besides, he will get his chance to beat Brady later in the season.
  2. It's because NOTHING was proven. With the soft language used in the report, I don't even think Brady is being punished for cheating, but rather for not cooperating with the investigation. They cannot pull the SB win without hard evidence that the cheaters cheated..
  3. There won't be any punishment in my opinion because if you look at the language in the report, it is all "likely he would have been involved", or "unlikely that he would not have known". Nothing definitive outside of the fall-guys, particularly when it comes to Brady. This was the loophole put into the report so that the NFL has an out and does not have to punish either Brady or the Pats. Maybe they will throw fines their way, maybe. But suspensions or loss of significant draft picks, not a chance in hell in my opinion.
  4. QBs need to stop being such nancy's and use what's provided by the NFL.
  5. The way I see it is that Whaley handcuffed himself regarding QB when he gave up this years first for Watkins, so drafting a QB in this weak class would have been foolhardy (IMO). I think his strategy is that he has 2 "hail-mary's" in Taylor and Manuel. If one hits, amazing. If they both tank, he has Cassel as a game manager while his rookies and 2nd year guys get some seasoning as they look for a QB in the next offeason/draft.
  6. It is a loser attitude to want to see some, just a tiny bit, of evidence (as opposed to speculation) before believing that everything is all unicorns and rainbows to you then? OK. Yours is a post that is the "blind homer-est" ever I guess if we are making ridiculous fact-less statements
  7. What's the point of proclaiming awesomeness when the team has not even had one practice? After the past 15 years of "We got Marrone, the coach everyone wanted!", "We have a franchise QB now in EJ Manuel!", and maybe my favorite "We got Chan Gailey, the coach Jerrah said was his worst mistake firing!" ... playoffs for sure!!!!!!! ... I am definitely in show-me mode, tell-me just doesn't cut it anymore. In my opinion that isn't pessimism. I'm just not ready to be overly optimistic (some might say drinking the Koolaid) like the OP is, that's all.
  8. Yeah as you said "soon". But how many times has what you said in the original post been repeated here in the past 15 years? I agree that the Bills are looking better. I cannot say the same about the Sabres yet. They are at least 3 years out if all goes well in my opinion. When the Bills and Sabres prove themselves to be respectable, your original post will make sense.
  9. Only the NFL and Congress could make that report over 100 pages.
  10. Particularly when said owner is more into hockey than football. But what I suspect he meant was that Pegula was smart for letting the football people make the football decisions and not F'ing things up by getting too involved himself.
  11. Fairly common attitude at the Ralph. I'll do what I want, !@#$ everyone else. One reason I prefer to watch at home.
  12. Not that I disagree with you but: 1) No way because the teams make too much money off of concessions, beer has to be the biggest money maker. 2) No way because the NFL has maxed out in the US, so to continue increasing revenue they need to try and expand outside the US. You would be fired as commish if you even mentioned those things
  13. What about places where it is legal for pain relief or even recreational purposes? You would need to test for and ban alcohol, caffeine, and a whole host of other drugs as well.
  14. Have the league supply the game balls via the zebras with the teams getting no chance to inspect them before the game. Remove the specialty balls for kicks and field goals. Change the extra point to what they experimented with last preseason.
  15. Best and maybe only way to get people into the stadium earlier is a downtown stadium with no tailgating. Bills fans love tailgating. It will always trump anything the Bills can come up with.
  16. I have seen mothers with their kids get verbally abused in the parking lot just for that. Sadly that's all it takes for some drunk pussies.
  17. Will the wifi be free or a hotspot kind of thing? And the wifi itself might get some people into the stadium earlier.
  18. A lot of people believe that a team without a QB can't go far. That is what is driving a lot of these comments I'm sure.
  19. It absolutely HAS to be that way. TV pays the bills, at the end of the day football is just entertainment.
  20. Probably figured they had to pay him enough to have him not just go to TV.
  21. Perhaps, but he will get a nice bonus from Krafty for taking the fall for the team. And you know what they say, you can leave the burn unit of a hospital with 3rd degree burns on 80% of your body, but if you get in a Lamborghini you can get a girl.
  22. I agree. But that can't go on forever, particularly if the NFL as a product does not expand successfully offshore.
