  1. I haven't been to camp yet, but my sons tell me Tyrod looked the best to them so far for both days this past weekend that's what I voted. Too close to call I'd say at this point being so early. What they said was that all seem to be having problems with the timing routes, which is no surprise being early. Maybe whoever works that out best ends up starting.
  2. FWIW, My Bills fan sports freak sons were at practice both days this weekend focusing on QB and according to them both they ranged from: Inaccurate overall, but made some nice throws deep (the highest rating) : Tyrod Taylor to Just plain terrible, overthrowing the majority and when not an overthrow put it into the turf: EJ Manuel
  3. That is an A+ for sure.
  4. I voted B. Mainly because of his limited time at the helm. And the fact that the poll is supposed to exclude keeping the team in Buffalo. If that last stipulation wasn't there, I would agree with you.
  5. I do not agree with this at all. And in fact, that is the knock against Bylsma. He had Sid the kid, Malkin, Fleury, Letang, Lapierre and so on. The theory is, any competent coach would do well with that Pens roster. Now we will see what Dan can do without a team bursting at the seams with talent.
  6. You are very welcome! And try the ribs sometime. But call ahead or get there early, when they are gone they are gone until the next day!
  7. Can't say I'm impressed with Lehner. But if he proves to be much better in Buffalo than he has so far in his career then great. If not, big trouble. Don't like those odds personally, but maybe the new and improved Sabres front office has a gift for spotting goalies. Kane absolutely agree, he should be a great add. The D is actually decent? You and I were watching different teams last season. There were a lot of low scoring games, but teams were getting enormous numbers of shots on goal and the play of the goalie, Enroth mostly, kept the games close. Will Lehner stand up to that? Reinhart was not ready last year. I'd be shocked, based on his play in Buffalo and Rochester, if he was ready this year. Eichel may be ready, but as a rookie you have to assume he won't be. The vet depth you mentioned, meh. But even if everyone you mentioned IS ready to contribute in a meaningful manner, and Lehner somehow magically transforms, in my opinion that STILL is not enough talent to bring a team up to even average that has been so historically bad the past two seasons. They still need at least 3 or 4 more of their prospects to bloom beyond what you mentioned to be even average. I know it hurts, but just think back to last season. In my opinion, if all goes well, they should be watchable this year but still not have a great record. And 3 seasons from now, if everything goes well, then they could have a decent team. Now the Amerks on the other hand, assuming they stay in Rochester (which apparently is not a given), could well be a fun team to watch with all the prospects developing and Cunneyworth as the head coach. I'm seriously considering picking up a couple seasons for them if they stay in Rochester. The price for watching a prospect team play in Rochester ($555 for 37 games, 100 level center ice! ) is far more reasonable than watching a prospect team play in Buffalo.
  8. They aren't? What are they relying on in general, and for a goalie in particular?
  9. That part is certainly true. If enough of the prospects turn into NHL players (2 years maybe?), then yes the future would certainly be considerably brighter that the first 5 years of the Pegula ownership.
  10. Promo, really, links? How about talking to hockey fans. How about watching the fans during home games, cheering the opponents or wearing bags. How about fans who can't give away tickets because the team is so bad. How about the past 2 season not just being bad, but historically bad. Yeah they tanked, after they saw that no matter what they did, they SUCKED ASS. And the biggest one of all ... I'm not sure being out of town how many games you get to see during the season, but a lot of away games last season (probably the season before as well but I do not remember for sure), the opponent started their backup goalie AT HOME. Sometimes it works out that way due to injury, or the schedule and the starter needing a rest, but that happens rarely. Starting the backup goalie at home is probably the biggest sign of lack of respect for a team that there is in hockey. Links???? And prospects are just that, prospects. Until these prospects turn into players that actually belong in the NHL (of which I think the Sabres had only a couple by the end of last season), they still suck ass. And if the Sabres tanked on purpose 2 years in a row to historic proportions (which I do not believe they did until they saw how bad they sucked anyway), then Pegula owes every season ticket holder a full refund for both seasons. 82 home games of complete ****, he should be embarrassed to take peoples money.
  11. I'm shocked that a player or fan would say that the previous regime was responsible for all of the problems .... said no one ever.
  12. Lots of places to hide should it happen. The big one being how the refs gave the game to the Pats.
  13. In my opinion, the people that voted A or B for sabres should change their vote to not a sabres fan. His heart is absolutely in the right place. But you cannot ignore that fact that he has been the owner for 5 years and they are the laughing stock of the NHL. Leagues worst record the past 2 seasons. Knee jerk reactions on vet signings like Ehrhoff and Leino. He is on his 3rd coach in 5 years. And now he fires Black (not a bad thing at all) and replaces him with the sitting president of a NFL team? The GM takes the brunt of the blame (except for the president), but the buck stops with him. His introduction as the teams owner was awesome (I was there), but aside from that the rest has been dismal. I was torn between C and D only because as i said, his heart is in the right place and it is obvious he plans to keep the team(s) in Buffalo. But there is no way he grades out to a B much less an A as the sabres owner thus far.
  14. Toronto also satisfied the international requirement. Which is why they haven't been to Europe for a game until now.
  15. Probably making enough bank now that he can hire someone to drive him to the arena if he can't find it. Assuming he wants to go there.
  16. Then you would like the one at Good Smoke I haven't had anything bad there yet. We generally get a few pulled pork sammiches and a rack or two of their ribs. It is small, but they have 4 or 6 tables in there to eat at if you like. Yup, generally a matter of how you like it. But to me, McDonalds is to a hamburger what Dino is to BBQ. Like I said, dive But they have a few tables and good food. More tables to eat there than Good Smoke has actually.
  17. Two of my favorites are: Bad to the Bone (Out in Willliamson, a bit of a haul from the city and a dive) http://bad2thebonebbq.com/ Good Smoke (ER, Just off 490) http://goodsmokebbq.com/ I agree, I find Dino and Sticky Lips to be basically equivalent, though I would choose Sticky Lips if given that choice.
  18. 1) Too short of a season 2) One key injury can take you from first to last (i.e. Brady) 3) Football is a collision sport and as such there will always be injuries (See #2 above).
  19. It is edible. But even Rochester has a couple places considerably better. But for BBQ in a stadium, not bad.
  20. It is very easy to predict the negative responses here to anything other than the Bills are a sure thing to make the playoffs. No mathematical model needed, However if you take the time to read it, and actually think about it, the author does make some valid points. What you have to remember too, is that tackle football is a sport with such a short season that one player being out of the lineup for any amount of time can have a very significant impact. Say for example that King Roger decided to suspend Tom Terrific for the entire season for draining balls last season, or if he gets significantly injured in the preseason, or Giselle decides she doesn't want the other boys in the NFL playing so rough with her Tommy, what would you think of the Pats chances to make the playoffs then? All he is doing is analyzing the available data. And based on that, I don't see anything terribly wrong with his conclusions. Of course my name is not Nate Silver either .
  21. lots of good recipes here! http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/forum/70-cookbookrecipe-subforum/
  22. Apparently tickets for some night practices become available today. My wife and kids plan on making the rounds and getting theirs
  23. With 2 of the losses to the Bills.
  24. I watched Lauren Hills parents and Leahs Dad. But turned it off prior to Jenner. I don't care about Jenner at all, pro or con, but I couldn't stomach a courage award given to her after watching 2 people who actually deserved it.
