  1. Maybe I'm being influenced by all the posts here every week about how the zebras hosed the Bills yet again. But I see the 12th man making the game a coin flip, the difference being the hosed factor. Pats: 24 Bills: 19
  2. True of course. But is it too much to ask for fans of both teams, not just the away fans, not to be asshats? I mean, it's a football game, not life and death.
  3. Cortana says 64.4% Philly, but FiveThirtyEight has Philly only at 51%. Might be another case of Cortana's number being influenced by social media.

  5. It pretty much always is. Then don't and put the blame where it belongs. It's only football. But that being said, a very wise man who goes to a lot of away games gave my son very good advice once ... there is no reason to paint a bullseye on yourself by wearing an away teams gear to a game.
  6. A local friend who was disadvantaged by being born in Pats country took her kids to a Pats game at the Ralph either last season or the one before. They were all wearing pats gear. They were all, according to her (always known her to be a level headed honest person), harassed numerous times verbally and even physically in the parking lot by different groups of drunks to the point she feared for the physical safety of her kids. In the stadium as well.
  7. Interesting. "The algorithm takes into account advanced stats and home-field advantage, and there's a public-perception element that incorporates data from Twitter and Facebook." Probably the biggest difference between Cortana and FiveThirtyEight. Cortana picked the Colts and FiveThirtyEight took the Bills last week.
  8. You should trademark that
  9. Would they be getting this coverage if they were playing the Titans this week instead of the Pats? Doubt it. But if the Bills manage a win, and particularly if they do so impressively, then you would think the national media would have to talk about the Bills on their own merits.
  10. Original post updated with CBS picks.
  11. Unless P. Manning plays the Bills, I don't give a !@#$.
  12. More Bills/Sabres crossover?

  14. CBS with Spread (Bills +1.5): 4 take the Bills, 4 take the Pats. 15. Buffalo Bills Fan Drinks Beer from Wiffle-Ball Bat, Spins, Slams into Bus http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2566222-buffalo-bills-fan-drinks-beer-from-wiffle-ball-bat-spins-gets-decked-by-bus?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-national
  16. Yes. Here will be fine.
  17. Then pity him. He was almost certainly an abused child.
  18. Geez for $30 a year it sure beats trying to wrestle with the free services to get them to work.
  19. One reason is so that you can see the game better. For all except the best seats, there will be times you will not have a good view of the game. Plus halftime, during the numerous dead time commercial breaks. Lots of reasons.
  20. Yup, could happen here as well. But is that where the smart money is?
  21. Exactly. TT has essentially no experience either other than being 4 years older and holding the clipboard for Flacco. Hopefully TT learned a lot from Flacco and we see some of that Sunday. But the truth is, the last time TT started a football game of any kind that mattered was in 2011, and it was also in college. Most, myself included, think Winston is considerably more talented than Taylor. But I personally am hoping those 4 years of seasoning allow Taylor to perform to the best of his abilities Sunday. We will see.
  22. Colts 24-16 (No Dareus)
  23. Yes. The theory being I think that if you are in the league for 4 years and cannot get on the field, you are probably not very good. While high draft picks (higher than TT was drafted years earlier) that are good enough to start their first year are likely to be better. At least that's how I can rationalize their list.
  24. FiveThirtyEight pick posted. Here is the rest of their picks:
  25. Suspect line, last ranked QB by some if not most, no ground and pound run game, Shady may not be 100% at the start. I personally see average not below average. But I'm a Bills fan. I think the bottom line though is QB. Rightly or wrongly, if you have one you are good, if you don't you suck.
