  1. Signing another QB is Rex playing games?
  2. Not 100% sure but I think it was most rushing yards by a QB.
  3. Not even close. Shady out. Sammy out. Rookie QB (in experience anyway) New HC New OC New DC All new schemes on both sides of the ball. And no matter what, TBD will always have this one ... horrible refs that always are biased against the Bills. EDIT: Add TT out
  4. He will NEED Karlos at the very least. But apparently he is uncertain as well.
  5. Most Bills fans prefer Bills homer announcers. They will gladly put up with sucking at the job for the pro Bills bias. Probably the same for most teams fans.
  6. To my knowledge none of the models take individual players into account. Plus the later in the season the better it generally does.
  7. This graph shows how several of them are doing this season so far. I would expect the models to get better as the season goes on because every week gives them more data.
  8. CBS with Spread (Bills +2.5) : 6 take the Bengals and 2 take the Bills. (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/against-the-spread/6) CBS Straight Up: 7 take the Bengals and 1 took the Bills.(http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/6) ESPN: 12 picking the Bengals and 1 picked the Bills. (http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks) Microsoft Cortana (Went 10-4 in week 5): Bengals 52% chance to win. (http://www.cortanapredictions.com/) FiveThirtyEight: (Went 12-2 in week 5): Bengals 53% chance to win. (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2015-nfl-predictions/) Amos: (Went 10-4 in week 5) Bills 55% chance to win. (http://trevorbischoff.com/nfl-2015-week-6-predictions/) FiveThirtyEight predicts a 9-7 record for the Bills this season with a 45% (up from 38%) chance of making the playoffs and a 1% (unchanged) chance of winning it all. Amos predicts a 10-6 record for the Bills this season. SportsClubStats (http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html) predicts a record of 9-7 with a 53% chance of making the playoffs.
  9. The FiveThirtyEight ELO spread is Bills +1. Gambling line will undoubtedly be higher to get people to bet the Bills.
  10. I would have liked to have had a receiver hooked up to hear what Rex was saying after that play
  11. I have always had trouble with Chromecast as well with HD streams. It comes to a device in my house (desktop) over the wifi, then over to the chromecast also via wifi. It ends up being just too much. I will probably just get it to my laptop then to the TV via HDMI.
  12. Really, not the massive collective Titan defensive brain fart that allowed the only offensive Bill player that had any success all day, TT, to run and convert a 3rd and 26?
  13. Apparently there is no chromecast app for this yet. You would be forced to display the page in chrome and cast the entire tab. Which has really sucked every time I have tried it and was unwatchable.
  14. Curse you and your confounded logic. We will have none of that during a "refs are out to get the Bills" thread. Good day to you sir!
  15. Concussions are neither of these.
  16. Added SportsClubStats and a request for help and enlightenment
  17. No vuvuzela's at nfl games though. God I hate those !@#$ing things. I lived in the UK for a year and went to several games. It can be dangerous because of the small country, away fans travel in large numbers, but fun if you aren't a moron.
  18. Oh I agree with you completely and do not think it will be successful. But I believe that is the NFLs thought process. Agree as well.
  19. This is completely true. But that would cause an epic change in the game. Not sure the NFL will ever consider that. Removal of most of the padding would also help, but again, greatly change the game. Tackle football is by definition an extremely violent game. In my opinion, removal of the helmet and pads turns tackle football into a slower, less interesting, variant of rugby.
  20. That was me too actually But how much more money can the NFL expect to squeeze out of their existing market and TV here in the US? I suppose they have some more avenues. Four nights of the week don't currently have a game on TV for example. But what other reason other than expanding the market would the NFL have for this move? There has to be a ceiling on how much the networks can charge for their ad space. They could create more TV timeouts I suppose and play more night's of the week. But there is a ceiling. Ticket sales are a drop in the bucket compared to the TV money.
  21. They can do some things to minimize the impact a little. But when players are running that fast and their head stops abruptly from hitting something, the brain is going to hit the inside of the skull.
  22. Oh yeah I never consider spread unless I'm gambling Straight up was 7-1 Giants.
  23. The NFL needs more money, therefore a larger market. They have sucked pretty much all the revenue that can expect to from Americans. Expand or die.
