  1. The players did, Manuel was the one who decided the outcome. Not one call by one official. People need to stop whining about officiating and realize when you play like a big piece of **** you deserve to lose. Put the blame where it belongs.
  2. If Manuel doesn't score 14 points for the Jags on 2 consecutive plays the Bills win, period.
  3. Yahoo app on fireTV stick. Lower than HD but not horrible. A few freezes that came back in VERY low definition, but not more than maybe 6 in total. But the video was jittery on my 50" TV to the point that I was getting a little motion sickness like when playing a first person shooter video game. Overall I'd have to give it a 6 out of 10 when compared to broadcast TV.
  4. And that's exactly why the ticket can't show the game. The NFL wants this to be a moderate (not a stress) test of the Yahoo system. If the majority of the people watching are doing so via commercial TV in Buffalo and Jax or on the ticket it's not much of a test.
  5. Yahoo instructing employees to use a VPN to deceive their advertisers? That is an interesting concept in and of itself
  6. Gotta hand it to you and the rest of the people that are getting up at 6am on a Sunday to watch a decimated Bills team play a bad team. I'd probably set the alarm, but it probably would just get turned off. Probably download it later and watch without commercials.
  7. 9:30 in the east, but progressively earlier as you move west and by the time you hit water the game starts at 6:30. Only the hardest core fans that aren't fans of the Jags or Bills are getting up at 6:30 on a Sunday to watch I have trouble seeing them making 3.5 million to be honest. Advertisers who are smart will request the IP addresses of the viewers and filter out all ones registered to Yahoo
  8. Or party all night, watch the game then go to bed. That would make beer taste better at 6am as well.
  9. From the Yahoo web site: Press the Home button on the Roku's remote control. Select the Web Video category button in main menu. Select the Yahoo app. The Yahoo app for the fireTV didn't have any indication of the game until last night when a "NFL Stream" category showed up. It will probably show up soon on the Roku as well.
  10. Yeah it should be no problem to cut the game down to 30 minutes and not miss anything. I lived there for a year and I don't remember doing the whole daylight savings time thing. But it was a very long time ago and I did spend a lot of time in the pubs . I hope the American Bills fans over there know about this
  11. Bourbon is seldom a bad idea.
  12. 9:30 am in Buffalo is actually 2:30 pm in London Dude, I thought I was a gadget guy! Next time my wife bitches about it, I'm showing her your post!
  13. If I didn't already own a fireTV Stick I certainly wouldn't go buy one just for this game. But since I do own one, it is the most convenient way for me to watch. And FYI to the fireTV and Stick owners, a NFL Stream category showed up in the Yahoo app on mine last night so we should be good to go tomorrow.. Yeah they are exactly the ones that get !@#$ed by this. And with no internet you can't even try and find someone to go to his place with a device. Bottom line, it should still be on TV (at least the ticket) as well as Yahoo tomorrow. I hope the pieces of **** at the NFL front office lose sleep over the cases like this, !@#$ing over their long time fans. But you need a conscience for that so I'm sure they won't.
  14. Last night I took another look at the Yahoo app on my fireTV stick and there is a NFL Stream category there now. Right now it has 4 or 5 clips about the game, an interview with Rex and so on. So the fireTV and the Stick should be good to go 24.5 hours from now
  15. There is a Yahoo app for the fireTV as well as the fireTV Stick that according to the Yahoo website for the event (https://nflstream.yahoo.com/) will receive the stream for the game. There is a lot more information in this thread. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/177210-london-game-will-be-streamed-on-yahoo/
  16. Get a cheap device like the fireTV stick ($40) or something like it and watch on your TV. Plus as the streaming model becomes more and more popular, all TVs will have this capability native.
  17. Eight minutes less is better than 8 minutes more
  18. My point was, that according to the Elo numbers the 2015 Pats are one of the best teams all time through 6 weeks anyway. For me at least it was never possible for the the Bills to rank that high this season, particularly with the QB situation.
  19. As a test last night I watched a movie via the Yahoo app on my fireTV Stick and it worked great. Not one stutter. If the game streams that well I will be very impressed.
  20. That makes me feel better about the stick then, thanks I posted something in "Yahoo Answers" so we will see!
  21. Did you get a chance to look at that? I looked again last night with the Yahoo app for the stick, which I would expect to be the same as for the box, and saw nothing. I noticed too that on the Yahoo site for this event they do not specifically mention the stick, only the box. Man that would suck. I have a HDMI cable ready to go from a laptop if needed but I am hoping not to have to go that way. And of course I see no way to ask Yahoo that question either on that site. You would think they would try to be as helpful as they could be leading up to this event wouldn't you?
  22. As a consumer I love the idea of an a la carte PPV model as well. However I struggle with how the NFL would make more money doing that than they do bundling it the way they do now. If it means less money for the NFL, I can't see them going that way. Then again I guess if they eliminated the ticket and made each PPV $25, fans of one team would pay $400 for one season instead of whatever the ticket costs now. And the bonus for the consumer would be they wouldn't need to subscribe to DTV to get the games. Hmmmm. I seem to be changing my mind mid post
  23. Not according to Elo anyway. http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/new-england-patriots-are-almost-on-pace-to-be-the-greatest-of-all-time/ "And in the case of the 2015 Patriots, that rating is ridiculously good. Through the first six weeks of an NFL season,2 only three teams have ever possessed a higher Elo rating than New England’s current mark of 1736" Interesting that even the Bills teams in the 90's didn't crack the top 25 all time 6 weeks into the season.
