  1. It is acceptable to substitute "the refs screwing over the Bills" for the bolded however.
  2. 100% agreed. Anyone who thinks either team played like a good team is insane.
  3. Ryan sure showed him and the entire Jags organization. I mean he makes that brilliant grandstand play then the team goes out and ... oh wait ... nevermind.
  4. Not directed at you. But if that play were the other way around with the Bills on offense, there would be a thread (if not more) about how it should have been PI absolutely and cost the Bills the game. That much is undeniable.
  5. Hmmm the Roku buffered for a minute. Don't see how that would impact most of the problems however (low resolution for example).
  6. At first glance, the Chiefs would seem to be what makes that fairly safe. Then I remember the Bills just lost to the Jags. Hopefully it isn't a leather shoe.
  7. Well I believe he is being paid more than TT so one might think ...
  8. Tom has ruined her forever. However just this one of someone better.
  9. Maybe the players have the week off to heal while the coaches get together and pull their collective heads out of their asses and try and figure out what the !@#$ is going on.
  10. Tablets and laptops are obviously much smaller than TVs. Therefore the lower than HD resolution and even the choppiness would be considerably less noticeable there. If the NFL intends on using streaming as a TV (commercial and the ticket) replacement, they need considerably higher quality and consistency than what yesterday had.
  11. Oh yes, I should have listed "The Senator Model" as well! Original post corrected!
  12. Well, it was from yahoo after all
  13. There are many here that will say otherwise. Just scan some of the other threads. For example, there are some in the weekly "the refs cost us the game" thread that blame the loss solely (it seems anyway) on the one bad PI call near the end of the game. Some just gotta Billieve:)
  14. Models by their very nature are a slave to the data they are given and slow to react to a big change. For example, the last few games for Dallas were without Romo. Therefore the offensive numbers were lacking. The models don't know Romo was out, they just see the lower level of performance.
  15. I'm sure they only count legal streams My stream was always choppy during the game but the commercials were not for me as well. And the commercials looked to be in full HD resolution whereas the game never was.
  16. The Bills are off this week (thank God). But here is what the models are saying about the rest of the season. FiveThirtyEight (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2015-nfl-predictions/) predicts a 7-9 record for the Bills this season with a 17% (down from 29%) chance of making the playoffs and a less than 1% (down from 1%) chance of winning it all. Amos (http://trevorbischoff.com/nfl-2015-week-8-predictions/) predicts a record of 8-8 for the Bills this season. SportsClubStats (http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html) predicts a record of 7-9 for the Bills this season with a 17.7% (down from 27.4%) chance of making the playoffs. The Senator Model: 16 and 4 baby ... How the models are doing for the season so far:
  17. The Bills, a team that has not even had a whiff of the playoffs for a decade and a half and counting, sold over 60,000 season tickets this season. T.O, Rex, both in my opinion were done for one reason, to get a Bills fanbase that is starving for a reason, ANY reason, to Billieve and snap up tickets and merchandise. And it worked. That my friend, is marketing.
  18. Maybe the most disturbing long term issue to me with Manuel was noticed and pointed out by the Yahoo talking heads during the game a few times yesterday. Three years in and Manuel is still staring down his receivers and not looking the safeties off even a little. That plus still consistently throwing to the middle of the field right into zone coverage. Still doing these kinds of very bad things three years in makes me seriously doubt his viability as a starter, ever. He has some potential as a backup however.
  19. Manuel looks like a swing and a miss at this point. Jury still out on Watkins as a player, but it is pretty clear so far his issue isn't talent, it's in his ability to stay on the field. However given the fact that Whaley paid an additional 1st for him when he could have stood pat and in all likelihood gotten OBJ without giving up the additional 1st isn't making that pick look like the work of a genius.
  20. The 14 points in 2 consecutive plays that Manuel scored for the Jags didn't crack into your top 3, but one bad call topped the list huh. I guess I'll never understand blind homerism.
  21. Yahoo claims 15.2 million unique viewers and 33.6 million total views with 33% coming from outside the US. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/yahoo-livestream-of-bills-jaguars-game-attracts-33-6-million-total-views-130531268.html
  22. Their team, that the new head coach promised was going to the playoffs this season, lost to a team that until today was 1-5 and had lost their last 4 games. In addition the team was widely considered the worst team in football. They need some time to recover. A week should be sufficient to be back drinking the koolaid again.
  23. FiveThirtyEight.com, that went 12-2 the past 2 weeks, gave the Bills a 76% chance of winning the game today. Boy the Bills sure made THEM look stupid!
  24. If you honestly believe the Bills deserved to win that game against the worst team (at least they were before today) in football and that one call is the only reason for the loss, then there is literally no hope for you.
