  1. We have a similar situation at home, which game gets the "big" TV I suspect it will be the Bills at least as long as the game is not a blowout. The Sabres will probably lose tonight as well, though they have a better chance of pulling off the upset.
  2. I don't justify anything. Anyone playing now knows what they are risking, same with parents allowing kids to play. When I want to watch I do, when I do not then I don't. For example I turned on red zone channel yesterday at 1:00 but by 1:30 I was so thoroughly bored even with red zone, that I turned it off for good and didn't even watch last night. I have realized I am a Bills fan now, not a football fan any more.
  3. Easy solution, stay home or go to a bar and watch both games at the same time.
  4. 538 and SportsClubStats adjusted their playoff odds down very slightly after the games this past weekend. I updated the original post accordingly.
  5. It has the makings of a trap game for them after the close call in their last game, the Bills being perceived by many as a weak team, and BellyCheat owning Rex historically.
  6. What this entire thread reminds me of.
  7. What you are talking about would require fundamental changes in the game regarding contact, physicality, etc. That is the only way players would have a chance of playing that many games. It would involve changing from tackle football to touch football, or close to it. Look, it really is simple. Tackle football is an extremely violent, full on collision sport. Always was and always should be in my opinion. Those that do not wish to play it, or have their kids play it, certainly have the right to opt out. Otherwise just let it be, caveat emptor.
  8. If you are sure that any team is going to either win or lose any game, why watch? But if you are asking that if someone thinks the Bills are going to lose, why watch? That question itself makes no sense. Only hard core homers should watch any game?
  9. I only care about the Bills now. Tackle football overall has lost it's appeal with me. Paying to watch every game would end it for me.
  10. You know, it's bad enough the Pats have been so good for so long. But this one cheerleader is hotter than every Jill that has ever walked onto the field at the Ralph ... combined. Just not fair
  11. The model I would like to see is Watson by IBM. You just know someone inside IBM has done it already
  12. All the models say the Cards by about 60%.
  13. Yeah particularly true in tackle football for two reasons: 1) So few games are played in a season. 2) It is such a violent game that injuries happen frequently, and injuries can and usually do have a big impact on the games.
  14. I took a look and didn't see last seasons data.
  15. It would have to be a MUCH weaker opponent. The reason for the big jump this week is because NE is the much stronger team. The stats in general get better as the season goes on so what you are saying is of course somewhat true about their meaningfulness. But I have found that they tend to be much more accurate, and worth considering, the second half of the season. Not just that last couple of weeks.
  16. And it's a prime time monday night game.
  17. Gone according to this. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/new-orleans-saints-fire-defensive-coordinator-rob-ryan/ar-BBn4zEn?ocid=ansmsnsports11
  18. SportsClubStats disagrees with you. If the Bills win it thinks the Bills playoffs chances go up from 41.6% to 61.5%
  19. But if they do manage to shock the NFL world, SportsClubStats probability of making the playoffs goes from 41.6% to 61.5% Besides, almost half the people here do! http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/182809-week-11-mnf-patriots-game-preparation-bills-75/
  20. CBS with Spread (Bills +7.5) : 5 take the Pats and 3 take the Bills. (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/11) ESPN: 12 and "pick'em" take the Pats, 1 (Allen) took the Bills. (http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks) Microsoft Cortana (Went 4-10 in week 10): Patriots 79% chance of winning. (http://www.cortanapredictions.com/) FiveThirtyEight: (Went 4-10 in week 10): Patriots 84% chance of winning with an Elo point spread of 11.5. (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2015-nfl-predictions/) Amos: (Went 5-9 in week 10) Patriots 85% chance of winning. (http://trevorbischoff.com/nfl-2015-week-11-predictions/) FiveThirtyEight predicts a 9-7 season record for the Bills this season with a 36% (up from 28%) chance of making the playoffs and a less than 1% (unchanged) chance of winning it all. Amos predicts a 9-7 season record for the Bills. SportsClubStats (http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html) predicts a record of 9-7 for the Bills this season with a 40.9% (up from 28.9%) chance of making the playoffs.
