  1. I'm not sure why people get so butt hurt when anyone in the media doesn't think the Bills aren't going to have a good season. The Bills have been mediocre at best for almost 2 decades now. Think about that for a minute ... nearly two decades!. There is absolutely no reason for anyone who isn't a big Bills fan to expect any more than that this season either. Hopefully the coaching staff is better, but they are not only new to the Bills, they are mostly new to their jobs. If they have a good showing this season and look to be improving then you should see a little optimism from the media next off season. But certainly there is no reason for it now (unless you are a Bills fan of course ).
  2. That's wild that the US is 75 times the size of England, but Premier League soccer still makes $5 billion a year.
  3. No mention of "without a permit" here. "improperly carrying a concealed firearm" apparently was the charge. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19958451/adolphus-washington-buffalo-bills-arrested-improperly-carrying-concealed-firearm
  4. If you have kids in the 8-13 years old range that like football, they will love it. For adults it depends on how much you like watching the players run through drills. But the Bills and SJF do a great job, it is comfortable, clean, easy to get to with the shuttle busses, and free (except for the $1 shuttle bus charge for adults). They also have a Bills Store there to sell you some merch like jerseys etc.as well as some free stuff like Bills car magnets.
  5. The Sabres just made, IMO, an excellent trade. A big step closer. http://buffalonews.com/2017/06/30/report-sabres-acquire-scandella-pominville-wild/
  6. Vegas as a whole, no. Individual huge betters, yes.
  7. Eventually you have to be right
  8. Anyone can get it now. https://www.directvnow.com/
  9. One could say that filling the stadium for the past 17 years for at best mediocre product shows support for the local team. But one could also argue that filling the stadium for the past 17 years for at best mediocre product is being an enabler of mediocrity, and is the reason for the past 17 years.
  10. Apparently the TvAddons site just went black along with its facebook presence.
  11. Oh absolutely! But there should be no expectation of people paying good money for a bad product. They can certainly choose to, it is their money. But defining how "good" a fan base is by how much they fill a stadium to watch a inferior product to me makes no sense.
  12. You seem to think that is a bad thing. If you suck as a team, why should you expect fans to pay all that money to see you play.
  13. They are still for sale. http://www.dhgate.com/product/america-football-bills-stanley-cup-champions/397534518.html
  14. Thanks. Further out than I would have thought. But I imagine if McD wants out bad enough (if he does, who the hell knows at this point) Pegs could buy his way out of it.
  15. Honestly, when my kids were in the jersey wearing phase, they always wanted current players. I just found a good dealer in China and got them that way. I always thought paying > $100 a piece for them was insane just by definition. Plus like you said, who knows how long any player will be around. The $20 a piece I paid (delivered) made me not care if I had to get all 3 kids a new one every season. The NFL frowns on that of course as does the US government, but spending $60 suited me much better than $300+.
  16. I didn't mind them as seats. But when some people would beat on them all game apparently not realizing (or caring) that the noise albeit irritating to those of us nearby, would not even be able to be heard at field level. Being aluminum that was annoying to say the least.
  17. From: I've been told McDermott prefers not going away to camp. Wants players sleeping in their own beds. But SJF contracts already in place. To: McDermott tells me I was given incorrect info. Said he loves the idea of remote Bills training camp locale. "You gotta get away," he said. Almost impossible to "misunderstand" that much. The Bills FO probably got an ear full from SJF and others which caused the 180 degree turn. I guess we'll see how McD really feels once the contract with SJF runs out. Anyone have any idea when that is?
  18. Also solid choices.
  19. Worst hockey jersey I have ever seen. Thank god it's just for that one game. Local sportscasters had a good time making fun of it as well.
  20. Be bold, Rob Johnson or JP Losman.
  21. And you think training camp at SJF is the reason? They have been doing just fine ticket sales wise even being a mediocre team at best. One or two practices is almost pointless. Not sure if you have ever been to camp at SJF, but the Bills do it right. Autograph tent for the kids and many more things. It's a great, fan building, experience. Bottom line, what McD wants is probably what McD gets. And I also get he might not want to spend a month away from home. But it would be a shame.
  22. Maybe. But a big part of having camp located in Rochester is marketing. Rochester makes up a high percentage of season ticket holders. Plus having it in Roch makes it easier for people from the Syracuse area to get there (and maybe spark interest to go to some games).
  23. Any clue where to get tickets for the night practices? I didn't see anything on the camp site.
  24. Yeah I read the Lakers was a possibility as well.
