  1. Now that's an interesting perspective on the Chin.
  2. Nothing wrong with being a Billiever. But I have to ask, if you live in the DC area now what food do you miss in Buffalo?
  3. Look at the board reaction to Fewell, or any coordinator without a famous last name, when talking about the HC position. Can you imagine what the reaction here would be if a special teams coach got the HC job ... and a insider special teams coach at that? Mass suicide.
  4. Because they are, well, pointless. As are posts complaining about them.
  5. I gave up my seasons this year so I do understand your frustration. But contender it once was? The Bills have been a true contender what, 6 times or so in it's 50 year existence?
  6. A game? Hell, before he is even hired!
  7. Nothing says that the one you take will work out perfectly. But you can improve the odds by weeding out the sure turds first.
  8. With the current revenue sharing arrangement, and the fact that TV money (the largest chunk of cash involved) is divided evenly among the teams, and all owners have a say when teams get sold etc. etc. it's very hard for me to see anything other than one business entity, the NFL.
  9. 91, not a billionaire unless you include the estimated value of the Bills (and even then maybe not, but close), and anyone who feels a sporting team is more important than a persons life is a douchebag.
  10. Damn dude. This is a man's life you are you are so casually throwing into the shitter. This is only football after all.
  11. I think his point is that in the off season game of musical chairs that goes on, other teams that have HC's in place can hire coordibators and maybe some FA's while the Bills are looking for a HC. And the fear is that when the music stops and all the top candidates have sat down elsewhere, the Bills will be left with whoever doesn't have a chair.
  12. Whew. That is an interesting perspective on the current Bills situation. !@#$ the glass being half full, that som'B word is overflowing
  13. Bills fans. It builds character and keeps the team in Buffalo.
  14. Might be too late. Rumor has it he will be the new Bears DC.
  15. What I find interesting are people who post on fan boards that somehow feel they know more than the OC's that are currently doing the job and can call their decisions "dumb".
  16. Nope. Far too many "bleed red and blue" terminal Bills fans for that to happen.
  17. That all went away as soon as players and the like started making multi-millions of dollars for a 16 game season. Think about TO's contract of 6.5 million last season. That is for a 16 game season! And he wasn't even the highest paid player. They are grossly overpaid and put up on a pedestal. Look at this Cowher situation as another example. There are posters here that idolize him so much and are so desperate to get him that they would line up to blow Cowher every day if he agreed to be the Bills HC. Coaches, players, they don't give a flying !@#$ about a REAL football town. That went out decades ago my friend.
  18. Because he will at least talk to us?
  19. Exactly. Sanchez was a rookie QB this year and really stunk it up for the most part (as most do). They have some good tools in place on the Jets. Another year or two for Sanchez to mature and they should be a force. If/When that happens he will probably have teams with a much better situation and reputation than Buffalo's courting him for a HC position. For him to take the HC job now in Buffalo would be a big mistake for him. Declining the interview in this case saves everyone a lot of time and bother.
  20. 15 in Pittsburgh I believe and a couple in Cleveland.
  21. I salute the effort. But geez, if the best you can come up with is: you are in trouble. Particularly next to the census report of Buffalo ranking as the third poorest city (with > 250,000 people) in the country. Fortunately Cowher will probably never see it. Not that it would influence his decision anyway.
  22. It's fairly obvious by now, and should be even more so if Cowher declines, that this is not always the case. Even at the peon level like me, I took a job for less money than I was currently making to get a better quality of life situation. Look at the new Redskins HC, he apparently took less money than the Bills were offering to go there. Not always is money the be all end all of every decision.
  23. You get insulted too easily. The assclowns at CBS probably cannot say anything seeing as how Cowher is current working there. Don't worry, be happy. Getting all wound up over this isn't going to help.
