  1. Gawd I am so sick and !@#$ing tired of reading this line all the time. Just think a little, if it was such a big MISTAKE, then why didn't Jummuh ever hire him back in ANY capacity? He certainly had his chances. As I have said in other threads, I am neither for or against the Gailey hire. But for the love of God, can we please stop the Cowboys "mistake" nonsense everyone?
  2. I prefer choice C ... neither. There is absolutely no reason based on Chans record anywhere to get excited about him being the HC. There is also no reason to get excited about Buddy based on the limited moves he has made so far. But there is also no reason to assume that the good ole boy connection is going to blow the draft, FA, or generally suck ass for the next 3-4 years either. I don't particularly like the Gailey or Nix hires, but I understand them. Given the current circumstances with the Bills, I believe there were the "best available" guys they could get. I don't feel the need to "cry in my beer" about how much we will suck this season. Nor do I feel the need to "get on board with the new regime". I prefer to be ambivalent and hope for the best.
  3. The probably just got their season ticket invoice
  4. I don't care how many more you add. There will never be enough troth space for the mad rush to get rid of the beer.
  5. A bucket of warm piss? Pass on the chunky soup guy.
  6. I believe there are so many positions of need that the Bills truly can wait for their turn and pick the best available. Chances are good that the best available is going to be a position we need. I certainly wouldn't throw away draft picks to trade up for someone unless they are pretty damn sure he will end up a franchise player (and Ralph and Russ will pay him). One thing is for sure, it promises to be a very interesting off season as we see what the Good Ole Boys do both in the draft and FA.
  7. No new jersey for me. Little point to it.
  8. Yeah but the clock does not stop during play either so they add the "wasted time" (usually 2-4 minutes) to the end of each half. If they added all the wasted time to the end of a NFL game half or quarter, each game would take a week! You are a lucky man indeed. But you do realize you can watch via internet streams!
  9. SETANTA - 406 - Sun, 2/14, 6:45 PM 1 hr 45 min "Bristol City at Sheffield United from Bramall Lane" The real football
  10. Funniest ever!
  11. I agree. That's one thing Canada does right. If a team wants a stadium, they pay for it. None of this public funding bull ****.
  12. Waiting for play on the field is too late. They want season ticket sales. That being said, at least half of the season ticket holders will renew their tickets no matter what anyway. Most of the others are desperately looking for an excuse ... any excuse ... to renew theirs. A whole new coaching staff and GM is probably enough for most of them. Irregardless of who the new people are. I do not think they need a TO type signing this off season to get good season ticket sales.
  13. Given the fact that they are older southern boys, they probably are not watching the Sabres game. Probably cracking a beer or two, having a dip of redman chewing tobacco and toasting their good fortune.
  14. A rookie HC that shows potential is a better bet than someone with a proven mediocre track record IMO. Are you implying that we will have a QB equal to the ones you refer to this coming season? Possible, but it is also possible that I will hit the lottery this week .... but I wouldn't bet on it This bet is for winning the superbowl, not going to the dance. At 100-1 it's a fools bet in my opinion. At 1000-1 or better I can see putting $100 down. Yeah either way at the end of the season it's almost certainly $100 gone. But at least the $100K potential return on investment is a worthwhile prize.
  15. Haven't sniffed even the playoffs in 10 years. No discernible QB at this point. Rookie GM, and a HC who hasn't been a NFL HC for 10 years. And when he was (for 2 seasons) his record was a smidge over .500. Only 100-1? You would have to be insane to take that bet. 1000-1 and it might be worth a lark if you had money you could afford to lose.
  16. Yeah, that pretty much sums up the excitement level. No more commercial breaks than any other game once it got going.
  17. Drew Staffords band (forget what its called) or Britney Spears ... we are due for another wardrobe malfunction.
  18. My wife and I thought their voices sounded horrible, and my wife also commented on how old they looked. My only answer to that was ... they are! I wonder if the reason they keep getting these fossil bands is because the NFL audience in general is more older than younger? Even most of the commercials seemed to be aimed at an older (i.e. > 30) audience.
  19. Hmmmm LA or Buffalo. Believe it or not, I'd pick Buffalo. Besides traffic, you forgot fires, quakes, more and more-violent gangs, air pollution, outrageously priced homes, and everywhere you !@#$ing go, no matter what time of !@#$ing day or night, there are a !@#$ing shitload of people there. I hate hate hate LA, don't even like visiting there on business when I have to.
  20. No more likely or unlikely than before. Could be they just can't find anyone they like that will accept. Only thing to do is wait and see.
  21. And that's the reaction from some people who live in a below average environment (by most peoples standards). Calling it lack of sac when it really is just common sense.
  22. I take my kids to the kids day game and they love it. Most of the hard core drunks either take it down a few notches or skip the game altogether (which is greatly appreciated). Last year it was weird because they had that food channel tailgating thing going on. Should be back to normal this year. I'm sure your kids will love it.
