Rookies day out....where would you take them??

Canadian Ballet. -
I feel this way as well. But remember, there are a group of fairly significant numbers that are entertained by the Bills regardless of the quality of the on-field product. These self-proclaimed "true fans" will buy everything you mention if the team goes 16-0 or 0-16 ... just as long as they stay in the B-Lo.

I prefer the lingerie models trying to play football myself.

Neither of the things you mention would have a significant impact on the area as a whole. A handful of businesses around the stadium including the people who rent out their yards for parking would of course suffer. But again, it is 8 days out of 365. And you don't really think the economic impact (taxes and expenditures) paid by players/coaches/FO-staff are significant when you are talking about the entire region? Now if it were possible to get a superbowl once in a while that could certainly make a big impact. But that's not happening without a nice big domed stadium (at the very least). You love the Bills and are thinking with your heart my friend

I don't think the Bills are an embarrassment ... but you have to admit that for a large amount of people at the Ralph on Sunday, drinking is a very (some say too) big part of the "gameday experience". I have yet to see a justification for this to even remotely be true. Losing 8 Sundays (7 regular season and 1 pre-season) of restaurant and other local business is going to make the economy noticeably worse? Now subtract what every taxpayer (even the non football fans) pays every year for the team, facilities, and police etc and you think the net result is going to have any impact, much less a big one? You seem to be a sincere hardcore Bills (and Jills) fan, I get that and can respect it. But come on now.

Tim Tebow Brings his Magic to Memphis

If that were true, then we would not have had the threads here about hating PigBen and Vick -
That's cool. But it is just as cool for someone else to say: I would rather not have them then have them suck for another decade. If you don't want people telling you how to spend or not spend your time and money, you should extend the same courtesy to them.. Just sayin ...

Guys, this starting front-five is a disaster

We have a second receiver. What we are lacking is a first. -
Oh man, penis jokes just never get old.

I recommend that you start drinking heavily and do not stop until she is back in Florida.

And that's all there is, and can be, so far. Let's face it, Ralph could hire me as HC and I could make the statement: Not only can we have dramatic improvement, we will have dramatic improvement and by golly you mark my words, the Buffalo Bills will be in the superbowl this season !!!!! Excellent rhetoric, but all BS. Give Chan and Buddy a chance. Don't piss in everyone cornflakes without seeing what they can do. But don't blow sunshine up everyones ass by claiming they are the second coming until you see what they can do either.

No reason to be concerned. He is a 7th round pick. If he makes the team ... bonus! If not, who cares. The only reason there is optimism is because he was drafted by the Bills and this board is for Bills fans, and this is the time of year when even Bills fans can be optimistic. He probably will be on the practice squad if anything ... but every once in a while lightning strikes like with Brady.

Never happen dude. I guarantee you that even if the Bills didn't break 8-8 and finished last in the AFC East for the next ten years they still would sell at least 40000 season tickets. To some it is like a badge of honor that they can get kicked in the teeth year after year but continue to buy the tickets, jerseys, Toronto (gag) tickets, and anything else the team wants them to. And if you don't feel the same way and keep giving Ralph your money every year then you are not a "true fan". I have no desire to tell people how to spend their money and if that's how they choose to spend it then more power to them. But there is absolutely no way what you are asking for will ever happen .... as long as they stay in Buffalo.
-
People have been saying that for several decades.
-
The bolded part sure describes the "you give your money and time to the team no matter what" crowd.
-
Have you read any of the Pig Ben threads?
-
I would agree with that. But then some would argue "what about the poor workers subjected to that vile carcinogen against their will". I know I know, "don't work there". But ultimately I believe the desire by society at large is to make it so inconvenient and expensive to smoke that fewer kids start. Then when the current addicts die off and the number of active smokers is small enough to be manageable, they will make it illegal outright.

That has been the debate for a while right. Alcohol is addictive and harmful and legal. Tobacco as well. But not pot, heroin, cocaine etc etc. Not logical to me.
-
Pretty clear I would think. But I will try again. Most professional football players are not very smart. Or if they were at one time, their brains have been scrambled by all the helmet to helmet contact in their careers.
-
If all you get the ticket for is the Bills, then just watch online.
-
Assuming those details are accurate, WTF was he thinking even having a 15 year old girl in his hotel room. I know football players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, but come on. Maybe he was tired of Pig Ben getting all the press so he decided to one up him by going 15.

As I said earlier in this thread ...Laws regulating personal conduct can be justified on three grounds, one of them being The Harm Principle. Which states that laws are justified if they prevent individuals from causing harm to others. In other words, the second hand smoke argument. So for example if you were to inject the drug (nicotine) into your system or say wear one of the stop smoking patches, no problem since nicotine is currently legal. But since the act of smoking has been determined to be harmful to others around the smoker, particularly in a closed environment like in a building, it can be made illegal. In fact, I believe that in California it is illegal to smoke in your home or your car if there are children there. Good luck enforcing that, particularly the home part, but I believe they did make that law.
