  1. I agree. But the case you site is just a symptom of a much larger disease. Take these salaries and divide by 16 (number of regular season games in a season) to get salary on a per game basis. The result is staggering.
  2. Just read up on it, and they sell it here. I'm going to give it a try as well, thanks!
  3. Oh dude that's not a nice thing to say ... I almost lost my lunch thinking about that!
  4. None taken. I have been around long enough to know why the OP tends to inspire hostility. He just didn't in this thread so far was all. But then again, liking Rex Ryan ...
  5. No. But thanks for playing.
  6. Hmmmm. Who is the douche in this conversation so far?
  7. I believe the reason for that was as far as the NFL was concerned, it was sold out (Rogers Communications purchased them all for resale).
  8. I guess we know there will be some good rum at one tailgate anyway
  9. I try and avoid making personal attacks, even when provoked. I would be very happy if your prediction somehow manages to come true.
  10. We won't know squat until October after they have a played a few games for real.
  11. When I am 59 my daughter will be 14. So you never know.
  12. Very well put and I agree. Unfortunately for the Rochester people like me, that 90 minute drive turns into closer to 3 hours each way. But I suppose they figure the people from Rochester and beyond that do not go to the games get replaced by Torontonians and it evens out.
  13. These prediction threads are getting very repetitive. Allow me to summarize: 1) Some people think the Bills will be very good this year, 11-5 or better. Mainly due to the coaching change and the acquisition of Spiller. Whoever does not agree with this prediction is a doom & gloomer, needs to sober up, or my personal favorite ... not a "real fan". 2) Some people think the Bills will have a very bad record this season. 4-12 or worse. Mainly due to minimal personal changes and a more difficult schedule than last year. Whoever does not agree with this prediction is drinking koolaid or a homer with his head in the sand. 3) The rest tend to believe the record will be not that different that last year. In the 8-8 ballpark. Most people can't find a reason to hate on these predictions too much. Thank God the season will be starting soon so these prediction threads can stop.
  14. We suck - I agree, we probably will this season too. But I'm hoping to see potential for future non-sucking (see below). We have sucked - Everyone knows this. we will continue to suck - Can't say that is cast in stone as far as I am concerned. With the sweeping coaching change as well as a GM change (one can argue the quality of either, but I don't think many would argue that both are an upgrade) I hope to see signs that we are on the road to respectability. And with a few successful drafts and FA acquisitions start thinking of the playoffs as a possibility instead of a pipe dream. Of course only time will tell.
  15. He is not a Bill so I do not care how he spells his name
  16. I agree with AJ. My kids have gone twice this week so far for the day session and they love it (they want to go Saturday hoping to see Spiller now). The first half is pretty dull so they go jump in bounce houses and stuff they have there for kids. Then watch the X on X drills followed by getting players autographs. If you find football practice interesting then you should find it enjoyable. Worth a 7 hour round trip drive? Personally it would not be worth it for me.
  17. What if he becomes ... Payton Manning ..... just think!
  18. I would think both Nix and Gailey could give a **** about what coach is on the other sideline for a preseason game. I am also sure they would much rather be surprised by outstanding play from a few players that maybe they were not expecting. And a overall good effort from the team (which I am sure they are very much expecting).
  19. Wow. A 1+ page thread on nothing but what a tweet from Spiller might mean.
  20. Absolute 100% bull ****. I am not a big fan of the Spiller pick. But I understand that Nix picked who he thought was the best available player still left. I may not care for it, but I understand why he did it. To say that RB is a position of need on this team with glaring needs almost everywhere except RB because there is a need for a "offensive playmaker" is so ridiculous it is laughable. Tell me "best available" or "we will need a stud RB in 3 years after the rebuild" and I am with you. But I cannot stomach "we filled a offensive playmaker position of need". Ok, rant mode off. I just hate rationalization.
  21. Another player yesterday was Maybin. My son told me his line was very short when they stopped more people from getting into the Poz line. Maybin not a kids favorite yet I guess
  22. My wife took the kids yesterday. They have 4 players in a tent signing autographs. 1) Kids only. Adults not even allowed in line. 2) 1 item per kid, strictly enforced. 3) They have pieces of paper that can be signed if the kid has no other item. Yesterday was Poz, don't know who else. Tomorrow (Thursday 8/5) it is all 4 QB's. When the time limit approaches, they close players lines and that also is strictly enforced. The Rochester D&C sports section shows who is going to be signing the current day and the next day.
  23. No he won't. But he is a damn fine DC.
