11-13: McDermott and Coordinator Pressers
CodeMonkey replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather him say nothing and do a better job. -
Not trusting McCoach is another discussion entirely.
-
I can't argue with any of that. Just saying you can't accurately access Peterman versus TT based on garbage time work. If McCoach thought Peterman would win him games, you can bet your ass Peterman would be starting.
-
I would. WAYYYYYYYY to early to give up on the season and start evaluations for next season. They are 5-4, not 0-9.

11-13: McDermott and Coordinator Pressers
CodeMonkey replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be the same old bull ****. Have to be better, the Saints played well, coaches need to be better, players need to be better, trust the process, need to focus on the chargers now, blah blah blah. It will be more cliche time. -
If TT was in on that last drive, he almost certainly would have been able to throw underneath against the prevent defense as well. He has done it in past seasons, that's a big reason his previous years stats are as good as they are.
-
Wow let that sink in for a minute ... 14.8 yards per rush when the Bills have 8 in the box. Astounding. The worst part of that game to me was when they showed the coaches, particularly in the 2nd half. Payton trying very hard to keep a **** eating grin off of his face and play it cool, while McCoach constantly had the deer in the headlights look on his face.
-
I seriously doubt it ... not yet. The Bills are 5-4 in a very weak AFC. There is no reason to throw in the towel yet. When the Bills are realistically eliminated from the wildcard (not necessarily mathematically eliminated) is when I hope they make this switch. Might as well see what the kid has with and against the first stringers at that point. But it is too early now IMO.

Don’t use “ Garbage time” excuse!
CodeMonkey replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since it was garbage time, it isn't an excuse. It is what it is. Would Peterman have done better, we'll never know. But is 5-4 the time for experimentation? And is TT the biggest problem? I mean, the Saints had 2 100+ yard rushers. Plus some 3rd stringer ripped off a big run late to get his first NFL TD. A 94 yard drive in the 3rd that was nothing other than runs up the gut that ended in a TD for gods sake, is Peterman is going to fix that? The defense !@#$ing sucked. No QB changes that. -
Which one of you was this? ? (New Era Streaker)
CodeMonkey replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw an interview with some of the people near him in the stands. They were so bored and over the game, they stood up and shielded him so security couldn't see him stripping before he jumped onto the field. That's the kind of day it was. -
Oh god not !@#$ing intangibles again. There is nothing intangible about it. Taylor is short, not a consistently accurate passer, holds onto the ball too long, and his first instinct is to pull the ball down and run. He would be a very adequate backup in the NFL, but not a starter. All tangible.

I don't think the team quit at all. This is the Bills. Very little talent on both sides of the ball. The two reasons the season record is as good as it is are they had the softer part of the schedule in the first half of the season, and the defense was getting crazy amounts of turnovers which was unsustainable. The result was a 5-2 start. And hard core Bills fans being so desperate for a team that doesn't suck, fully bought into it instead of believing what their brains should have been telling them, this is year one of a significant rebuild. But the Dareus trade sure looked like a stupid idea, particularly during the all run 94 yard touchdown drive where they basically just ran up the middle all the way down the field. And quite frankly, it is beyond stupid to think the Pegulas are considering a coaching change now.

Your brother plays on Saints, who do you root for?
CodeMonkey replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If memory serves, the Mom took 1 half (vertically) of each kids jersey and sewed them together and wore it when they played each other. -

CodeMonkey replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, family first. Even in that extreme case. -
Hometown players, should it effect drafting?
CodeMonkey replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's why I said in the later rounds. -

Yes it should ... in the later rounds. Taking a flier on a local kid is fantastic marketing. And with attendance and ratings dropping and fewer kids playing the game, the teams need all the feel good marketing they can get. -

Not a conundrum at all. Family first, always. -
How much impact will Benjamin have Sunday?
CodeMonkey replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not so sure. He was never a deep threat. If they run some quick outs and some slants with him, his big frame should give TT a large margin of error. Of course TT has to be able to get rid of the ball quickly as well, which he has never shown the ability to do to date. We'll see. -
Nada. Bills don't play, I don't watch.

11-3: McDermott Presser at 1 PM ET
CodeMonkey replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"HC Sean McDermott says any discipline imposed on Jerry Hughes will be between him and Hughes" As it should be. -
I remember McDermott, the media, and some Bills fans, praising the highly emotional response on the sidelines after the 1st down catch near the end of Sundays game. Saying how that level of emotion is a good thing for the team and so on. Well, that kind of emotion is a double edged sword and it can really hurt you when things aren't going your way. That was evident last night.

I think the blame falls on the players/coaches/fans who thought that the Bills being +2 or more every game in turnovers was sustainable. Obviously it is not. That, IMO, is one of the biggest reasons the Bills are over .500 right now.
