Bentley usually isn't bad at all that way, except for last night after they spoke at length to a buffalobills.com writer (his name escapes me) and it was a homer-fest the likes of which I have never seen before. According to this guy, the Bills are almost a lock to win the AFC East. I made it through his segment but Bently stayed in homer mode after that and I eventually caved and went for the mute. Thank God the preseason is over.

I agree with bowery. I spent a lot of time in Europe when they tried the "NFL Europa" experiment. It was a colossal failure. Even in cities that had teams most of the people had never been to a game or even had any interest in going to one. In my opinion it is just too inactive to catch on. Basketball and ice hockey are more or less continuous activity like soccer, but American football is about 15 seconds of activity out of every minute (at best). It is too different from what the rest of the world is used to. Try as they might to expand their market the NFL is pissing into the wind in my opinion.

Except that soccer is already the worlds most popular sport.

That is actually a interesting strategy too. With the economy being what it is, and the Bills being what they have been for the past decade, really good season tickets can be had in Buffalo right now. If Nix/Gailey really can turn things around in a few years you are going to be sitting pretty to go along for the ride!

In general I agree with you. However in this case, if Gailey/Nix can manage 8-8 with the very few meaningful personnel changes they have made and the seemingly harder schedule they have this year I would consider that a great success and would think we are definitely on the right track for the future.

The only plan for this game is to play people on the bubble as much as you can so you can decide who to cut.

The whole "forced" issue was talked to death before. But the fact remains he was never charged much less convicted of anything. So Goodell suspending Ben for being a !@#$tard would be no different than suspending this guy for also being a !@#$tard if he felt it was warranted and it really was him as you suggested.

King Roger suspended Big Ben remember for 4-6 games this season and he was never charged, let alone convicted, of any crime. His only offense seemed to be having sex with a drunk, underage (though he probably had no way to know that) girl in a bar bathroom (as well as previous similar situations in the past) King Roger can suspend for any reason he chooses if he thinks it violates the so called conduct policy.

People can always find something to complain about whatever service they have. I have had DTV in the past and now I have cable. The dish was already installed when I moved into the house so I had no installation headaches. I did have the "rain fade" issue that others have mentioned from time to time, but all in all I was very happy with it as a service. With Time Warner cable that I have now, the cable box software is absolute ****. It was bad before, but the software updated about 6 months ago and now it is the slowest and buggiest piece of garbage I have seen in a very long time. About once a month or so there is a issue with video or audio and the first few times I called customer service who told me to reboot the box by cycling power (unplugging). That solved the problem until the next time. Now I just cycle power when it !@#$s up once a month. I had them switch boxes out already and the issues remain. It seems to be a generic problem with these scientific american boxes. There is no line of sight to the necessary satellites in my current house or I would switch off of this time warner **** in a heartbeat. Not sure if I would switch to DTV or Dish network, but clearly I would be off of cable.

That's a little different because in a P2P environment you are a supplier as well as a consumer.
