  1. Unfortunately there is no practical way to allow everyone to have their definition of a good time. For example my definition would be taking my kids to the game and not having beer spilled on us, or thrown up on, or listen to people cursing non stop for 3 hours etc. However doing all or some of the things I don't want is probably someone elses definition of a good time. You can't please everyone. I have come to the realization that the stadium is not for me, at least right now.
  2. I agree, and I do (watch at home now that is). With HD you get a better view of the game than you do in the stadium anyway. Considerably cheaper and no traffic as well. I do not miss the in stadium experience at all, I do miss the tailgating though. The stadium should be for people who like the standing, screaming, obscenity yelling, fighting, drunken spillage etc. All this "sit in your seat and keep quiet" stuff does not belong in a NFL stadium IMO.
  3. I fart in your general direction! (In my best Monty Python fake french accent).
  4. My take is the Bills played like crap. The Fish played bad for them, but good enough to win. If the fish had played a little better it would have been a blowout (2 pick-6 and Marshal underthrow/drop).
  5. You forgot one ... The refs screwed us!
  6. I had thought the 2 hours after the game thing would be at most some security guy saying time to leave "nudge nudge wink wink" unless they were having trouble with a particular group of people. Maybe it is a cost saving measure not having to pay the cleanup/security people for quite so long?? I agree with you though though. We always relaxed after the game and waited for traffic to clear out. No signs now too huh. Not sure what purpose that serves, but if it is a NFL rule maybe it is because the NFL gets no money from signs like that and has plans to try and advertise more themselves? Not sure.
  7. I disagree with you here Doc. The safety moved the Bills from a FG to tie and extend the game, to a FG being meaningless and needing a TD. A mistake pure and simple. I do not believe it cost us the game as the other choice was also a longshot at best. But at least the other way there was a shot.
  8. You certainly can and should judge them within the confines of that one (horrible) performance. However calling for Gaileys (or any other) head to roll or calling for the "o fer" this season based on 1 game out of 16 is premature at best.
  9. Disagree. It was within FG range and in my opinion that call was a strategic mistake which was rewarded (and handsomely). A FG makes it a 1 possession game with the D playing well. That play misses and the game is over. As I said in another thread, that play was long on balls but short on brains IMO.
  10. That's the real scary part. The fish tried really hard to give us that game. The 5 point loss is misleading.
  11. Please. Yes he had the arm bar on Evans, but it was done in close proximity and in a way to shield it from the official. It happens all the time, and not just to Bills receivers ... but by all good defenders. It was well played, and if I remember correctly Evans did not complain either.
  12. That's no very lady like! Can't say I blame you though. I was more or less expecting that kind of performance from the offense so I was not quite as put off by it. That's probably why my wife did not have to tell the kids to watch the game in another room while I F-bombed away. I have heard that security is going to be more strict with this now. Particularly standing and swearing. Supposedly it is 2 warnings then out of the game with no exceptions now. Sounds like they are sticking to that, at least for now.
  13. Are you sure it was a player that called the TO?
  14. Lee Evans certainly does not have breakaway speed. He runs OK routes, but has never been able to get separation in his career. He does have good hands, and is also extremely durable. He is the opposite of your second sentence .. he is not a number 1 on 25 teams in this league. I would say he is a solid number 2 on a vast majority of the teams however. But, he is being paid like a solid number 1 however.
  15. I thought Leodis and Roscoe were our two bright spots in that game.
  16. Off the top of my head: - 3rd and 30 timeout wasted (assuming it was him who called it) - TD to Roscoe. Yes it worked, but I believe the smart play was to take the sure 3 points and make it a 1 possession game. The D had been doing well in the second half. If the fish safety hadn't made the mistake the game would have been over right then. It worked, but I think it was a tactical error. - Intentional safety. Again, not the smart play in my opinion. Not that the alternative had a big chance of success, but at least it had some chance. - Game plan in general. Floundered like it was a preseason game. At first handing off to Spiller and seeing that didn't work. They tried the dink passes to Spiller to get him in the open and that didn't work. Then switching gears and going to last years offense of Lynch (who did have some success)and Freddy J. Yes he reacted to his failed plans and tried to correct them. But the plans were weak. Bottom line, Gailey just looked lost out there. Granted it was his first real game as a NFL HC in a very long time. But he certainly needs to improve if this team is not going to be a laughing stock again this entire season.
  17. You are right about 1 thing, it was not all on TE. Overall, and with few exceptions, we sucked the sweat off a dead mans balls today. Gailey had as horrible a game as anyone including TE in my opinion. Please stop blaming officiating yet again for the Bills ineptitude. It is embarrassing. Nowhere to go but up after that performance.
  18. Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa! Thank you. I was waiting for the obligatory "we didn't suck, the refs and the nfl hates the Bills" thread. I was getting worried there wouldn't be one, it was so long after the game. Thanks for restoring my faith! And by the way, we lost because we got outplayed and out coached by a team having a bad game themselves.
  19. I cant agree with you. A Trent fan I am not, but Gailey had a horrendous game today as well. There is plenty wrong more than just Trent Edwards. It's like the people who thought Jauron was the problem in years past. Yes he was a problem. But he was not the problem.
  20. Yes, I found that VERY offensive!
  21. Yes they did play bad. Marshal is underthrown on a sure TD, then drops it. Two pick-6 dropped by the fish D. And the safety brainfart on the Roscoe TD. That score could have been much worse. Oh well, there is always next week!
  22. He should be pissed more at himself than anyone else. Bad gameplan. Wrong call on the TD to Roscoe (fortunate that it worked in my opinion). Bad call on the intentional safety. Timeout wasted on 3rd and 30 (If he didn't call it I recant this one) The only thing that worked was that one no huddle series. The rest of the game was an offensive joke (pun intended). Only one game to be sure, maybe Gailey and everyone else can manage to get their heads out of their collective asses by next Sunday. We can only hope.
  23. Dude you seriously need to change your meds for your bipolar disorder. The current ones are not working.
  24. I think that was a bad call. I would take the 3 and make it a 1 possession game with that much time left. What Gailey did may have shown he is long on balls, but also short on brains. Yes it worked, so to many people that automatically makes it a good call. But think for a second what your line above would have read if it did not work. Still a 2 possession game... basically game over. In my opinion anyway, that was not the smart play. It just happened to work because of a mistake by the Miami safety.
  25. You answered your own question. That was preseason, this counts.
