  1. Clean sweep for the Jets across the ESPN talking heads. All 8 humans and the 2 other mechanisms. No score predictions given there.
  2. That's the same debate that goes on from time to time here. Some think it is better to have a team, no matter how pathetic, than to have no team at all. Some think it is better to have no team than a pathetic team. No matter what point of view a person subscribes to, the chances of changing their mind is generally pretty small. However the OP may be one of the few who do change their minds.
  3. That's not so bad really. If it gets down to a few thousand the TV station will buy them up. And if there are rumors of Trent starting, that might sell a few as well
  4. Or, don't perform and get a 4 year extension
  5. You know, that word is growing on me. Does anyone know Sarah Palin? She made 'Refudiate' into a word just by using it once in public. Maybe she can do the same for 'unvinceable'.
  6. Agreed on all counts. I for one would like to see Brohm sooner rather than later. Fitz is a well know commodity and if Gailey hasn't figured him out yet then God help the Bills the next few years. I would like to see what, if anything, Brohm can bring to the table. My only reservation is not wanting him to accumulate concussions along the way.
  7. He just signed a 4 year deal. link
  8. Geez. How does cutting Edwards make this "evaluation" any easier faster or better than benching him? The release (and how it was handled) is what people were/are bitching about. Not letting Fitz or Brohm play.
  9. Given the fact that Edwards was cut rather than just benched (whether you happen to agree with the decision or not), yes I agree with you. Plus it puts some coin back into Ralphs pocket. Edwards hit an escalator in his contract that would have paid him a base salary of $1.65 million (Fitzpatrick's base salary this year is about $2.36 million). I do not see Browns salary listed anywhere, but I think a fair estimate is $325,000. Take 3 games worth off of Browns and after paying Edwards for his 3 games that's a nice chunk of change in the coffers of one Mr. Ralph Wilson.
  10. And some people here post on how much better of a QB Fitz is and maybe he could be a good starter. Or Brohm (who came off of the Packers practice squad I remind you, not even off of their 53 man roster) could be the QB of the future. SSDT (same **** different team).
  11. You koolaid drinking homer optimist you!
  12. If they think Brohm might be "the guy" (or at least the next guy) going forward in the rebuild process they would be stupid to play him while he is still likely to get killed. Maybe play him against teams with weak(er) defenses this season. After this week, I give up on trying to figure out what the Bills will or won't do
  13. Nothing in the whole situation is in the right direction, except for the benching of Edwards. Ultimately it just doesn't matter.
  14. But 100 might be considered a genius for someone from NYC in which case he is a god among his peers.
  15. The only thing .. and I do mean the only thing about sucking as much as the Bills do this season is when they are able to upset a team like the J E T S. Fatboy talks a good game, as always, but the last time I checked Vegas had the jets as only a 5 point favorite over one of the worst teams in football. Hell, the Pats were 13.5 to 14.5 point favorites just last week! Doesn't sound like vegas thinks the jets are "unvincible".
  16. That may make you feel better. But if the canned players aren't replaced with better ones that just makes you a bigger loser than the FO before you.
  17. Perhaps you heard of the NFL forcing teams to play games out of the country? Yes, even the J E T S. I'm not saying that's why the Bills play in Toronto (that was just the Bills owner wanting some more cash in his pocket), but out of the country play is not limited to the Bills.
  18. Hah hah, !@#$ing NYC retard Typical Jets fan. In an effort to help the mentally challenged: in·vin·ci·ble    /ɪnˈvɪnsəbəl/ Show Spelled[in-vin-suh-buhl] –adjective 1. incapable of being conquered, defeated, or subdued. I believe that is the word you were trying to use. But even that is incorrect as they have already lost a game this season. Please go back to your own kind and kiss Fatboy Ryans ass a little more. He misses you. But none in their "home" state. But if it helps, I wish NYC was actually part of NJ instead of NY.
  19. I have to agree with you there, Dean-O.
  20. Well written and fair article. Edwards was not a good fit in Buffalo. That is clear and has been clear for some time. Edwards might be a good pocket passer (like a Brady style for example), but he needs a pocket to work from. Put pressure on him and it's game over. The current offensive line, with no improvements to it this past off season, doomed Edwards before the season even began. I still think if given the right team (more specifically a team that can protect the passer) he might turn into a decent QB. That is, if all the concussions and battering he took as a Bill didn't snuff out any potential that he might have had. For his sake, I hope he gets a chance in the proper setting and I wish him well. If Nix and Gailey don't do something to turn the offensive line into more than a turnstile for opposing defenses, any QB is in for a tough time.
  21. It's not just one thing, it's a mix of everything. Sloppy drunken !@#$s, economy, price, product on the field, it all factors in. But personally I think the overriding factor is product on the field, at least in Buffalo. You could keep everything else the same as it is now except field a team that has a chance of going deep into the playoffs and I guarantee you tickets to games would be in high demand and there would be no question of any home games selling out.
  22. Nicely said. And if that line doesn't sum up the last 10 years in Buffalo then nothing does.
  23. What message is that? If you get cut by Buffalo you can get picked up by a (marginally) better team within 24 hours? Do you seriously think players in the NFL think they are not accountable? Come on now.
