  1. And people who want to avoid people who feel the need to drink all the liquor and beer that they want, smoke all the weed and use all the other illegal drugs that they want.
  2. Is this subject to blackout like the ticket is? For example, I live in Rochester and am in the blackout zone. If I subscribed to the ticket, I would be blacked out as well. Would I still get the stream in this case? I would think not. EDIT: Just checked the DirectTV site ... So yeah, I would be blacked out that way too. Interesting, DirectTV's explanation of the NFL blackout rule: The NFL requests broadcasters to black out games ... requests, riiiight. And how about those 4 bullet reasons for blackouts. What a load. To assure the entertainment value profitability of a full stadium
  3. Nothing phantom about it. It was a nice return by Leodis who made the most out of his opportunity to do the returns, but a hold is a hold. And this one directly influenced the return.
  4. It was just a horrifically bad game by both teams. I was flipping back and forth in the second half between the Bills and jets/browns game because the Bills game was so sad. It would have been appropriate for the Lions to tie the game and have it end a tie. But I am happy they managed to win a game ... even that game.
  5. Way too complicated. There should be no blackout rule. The NFL doesn't give a **** about their fans other then getting their money. They don't care at all about the people who can't afford a couple hundred dollars to see a game. And they don't care at all about kids , elderly, shut-ins etc. that also can't go. All they care about is feeding their bank accounts. As long as the fans, the TV networks and DirectTV put up with the NFLs bull **** there is no reason to expect it to change.
  6. The way the bungles have been playing you never know.
  7. Also bookmark http://www.channelsurfing.net/ It went out for about 5 minutes in the 3rd because of a "copyright infringement complaint", but came back and stayed through the end of the game.
  8. The ticket is subject to blackouts as well, just like other providers. Which sucks infinitely more than the other blackouts because you are paying specifically for that package, and DirectTV pays the NFL.
  9. And the Lions faithful. Apparently a lot of them were there as well. Lower bowl looked pretty full on TV anyway.
  10. www.atdhe.net Check close to gametime for live links there.
  11. I agree, well done! 269 today.
  12. Or like "out indefinitely". Any of this sound like he will be on the field anytime soon to you? Didn't think so. ESPN Story
  13. Ralph should thank everyone who has continued to buy seasons during the entire decade of suck + 1.
  14. Ha! Hoge changed his from yesterday when I posted And the robo-picks are 3rd and 4th behind Mortensen and Schlereth who are tied for first, and both picked the Lions.
  15. Probably because it makes sense given the facts that we do know.
  16. King Roger seem to be in denial that more and more games are not selling out. The NFL is on its way to imploding under the weight of its own greed. The next few years should be interesting to observe.
  17. Flawed concept. Both teams cooking food you do not see at tailgates, on equipment custom made for this show, judged by people who look like they have never been to a tailgate in their lives. The Pinto segment was funny though.
  18. 7 out of 10 on ESPN pick the Bills. Interestingly, the two guys with the best records for the season pick the Lions. http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks
  19. Just got the text from the Bills
  20. Home field 3 points I guess. Reasonable with Stafford out I suppose. Saw Donte on the news saying how Detroit should be favored because they have won 2 games. Nice confidence there eh
  21. I doubt anyone would argue against this. However, "pleasant surprise for a 7th round pick" is a far cry from "impact player".
  22. I agree with everything you said. But a lot of fans do not treat it like a business, it is their passion. And as such continue to support the business that, as you said, has been providing "substandard product" for over a decade on the promise of a better future.
  23. No offense, but these are silly (albeit sincere I'm sure) statements. Football, particularly Bills football, might be a passion of the fans. But believe me, it is a business first and foremost to owners, FO people, coaches, players and everyone else associated with the NFL as their profession. Do you seriously expect someone like Mr. Wilson to do something crazy like sell the team to Kelly on the cheap just because he thinks Kelly will keep the team in the area? He didn't get to where he is by being a bad businessman. And the answer to your "How much money do you need to leave your family?" question is "as much as possible".
  24. Brandons job is Marketing. His job is to put asses in the seats and generally make the team money. A winning team is a good way to do it, if you are a real GM. Marketing guys rely on gimmicks ... you know, like the T.O. signing last year.
  25. The Rochester Sports segment of the news last night claimed SM has not made such a statement. Nor did he say that he would sign if an offer was received. Think about it, it would be pretty stupid for him to make a statement like that, even if that is how he feels.
