Yes it was a late hit out of bounds. Corrected the rest.

How about a little whine with that cheese. Both teams played fugly. The Vikings offense could do something, the Bills nada. There is no conspiracy against the Bills. The Bills offense sucked bigtime ass. The offense got one touchdown, and that was in garbage time for gods sake. Quit being such a homer and see this game for what it was.

This is the single thing I cannot stand about a large number of Bills fans. What is wrong with the officiating this first half for Gods sake? They overturned the Fitz called fumble which was the correct call. They overturned the Rice TD which again was the correct call. The Whitner roughing call was correct. He lowered his shoulder and took off the QBs helmet after sliding. McKelvin was clearly holding the guys arm for PI. What exactly was there that made the officiating terrible? That they didn't call everything to favor the Bills? Unbelievable.

Bills claim Dallas TE Scott Chandler
CodeMonkey replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you guys are reading WAY too much into this. So what would have happened if Dallas didn't make the switch? Nix would have had to put a player on his main roster that he didn't want? Most likely he wanted Rucker, but when he wasn't available he took Chandler who he also likes. Ask yourself too, why would Dallas have made the TE switch in the first place when the Bills put in the claim? Because they thought, after working with both players, that Rucker was the better of the two. Were they right? Who knows, but I wouldn't count on either player making a big impact on their respective teams. -
Hockey Acquisition and effect on Bills Football
CodeMonkey replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everything you read about Pegula regarding the Bills goes like this (this one from Buffalo Rumblings): So nothing from Pegula himself, just "sources" that a Buffalo writer has that he "may" be a Bills fan. What we do know is that Pegula is a huge hockey fan. A self described "rink rat". For example he just donated 88 million to a college to start a division 1 hockey program. We also know that his net worth is about 3 billion. Would he invest 1/3 of his net worth buying a team in a sport he is more or less a casual fan of when he just purchased a team in a sport that he is a huge fan of? Plus the team needing a new stadium in a few years? I don't know this man (wish I did, the view from the owners box at HSBC arena is very nice ) But my guess, which is based on just as much fact as everything else I have seen so far, is that its a long shot. -
So tired of "Dope" and the "Lapdog" on WGR 550 making
CodeMonkey replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You "have to listen"? Why is that?? Don't they realize where they are? They need to homer it up every day. Doesn't matter what they really think. No team is better than the Bills, superbowl baby! We would be 11-0 without the freaking refs being biased against us every week! Look if you don't like what they say then don't listen. That's the best way to get them off the air. As to the offense being better or not. The stats show improvement because Fitz is playing better than Edwards, and Gailey is an offense minded coach as opposed to DJ. However you can have the #1 ranked offense statistically in the NFL and score 1000 points a game, but that doesn't mean **** if you opponents score 1001. It is the teams overall performance, measured by wins and losses, that shows if a team is better than last year or not. This team is looking at a likely 2-14 or 3-13 season as opposed to last seasons 6-10 and the previous seasons 7-9. -
Hines Ward calls out the league

They have a actual vote/award for dirtiest player? As for character reference, politicians do it all the time. That's a criminal using another criminal as a character reference. -
Hines Ward calls out the league
CodeMonkey replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It all comes down to what team you are a fan of. Here it was mostly "left his feet", "helmet to head/chin", "dirty player", "suspend him" etc. etc.. Over in Steeler forums (I looked) it was all "clean hit", "facemask to chest/shoulder", "how could they even call a penalty much less a fine" etc. etc.. I am certain if it had been Poz hitting Pigben the posts on the forums would have been reversed. Though I cannot imagine Gailey putting his foot in his mouth like Tomlin did -
Hines Ward calls out the league
CodeMonkey replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He makes some excellent points about how hypocritical the NFL is. The whole bull **** with Kenny and his bowling ball for example. The NFL stated they wanted a wholesome family friendly environment at the games. Yet they are happy to sell you as much alcohol as you want to buy inside the stadium. The NFL states that the safety of the players is a big concern. Yet they sell "greatest hit" DVDs celebrating the violent nature of the game. The NFL thinks far too much of itself. On a world scale they are nothing. The way game attendance is going for a lot of teams combined with the never ending greed of the NFL owners and players leads me to believe a implosion might not be too far off. I for one cannot wait for that to happen so maybe these !@#$s will come back down to earth. -

Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
CodeMonkey replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow people will grasp at any straw possible. Star FA's want teams that: a) Pay them the most. b) Have a good shot at getting them a ring. Beaches, women, and night life and wonderful things for 20 something rich athletes, but at most they serve as a tiebreaker for teams that are equal on things that really matter. "Forming a winning attitude"? "Putting teams on the ropes" ? That's just a load of horse ****. If this team wins out (which isn't going to happen) they would be 7-9 and last, again, in the AFC east. Start winning and going deep into the playoffs so these guys think a ring is a possibility, then, maybe, star FA's are a possibility (assuming like was stated above that Nix even wants them). You crack me up with this winning attitude stuff man -

So it was more or less for spearing a defenseless player, not contact to the head. I can see that. -

Apparently the NFL brass saw the hit the same way most here did. -
Have we won some exposure for next year?
CodeMonkey replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Plus Denver has some national following. No one outside of WNY (except WNY transplants) gives a flying !@#$ about the Bills. And the Bills suck this year record wise which is all anyone but Bills fans look at. As far as Denver getting a Monday night game this year, Tebow and Quinn. National interest there, deserved or not. And the Bills quarterbacks are who?? -
Have we won some exposure for next year?
CodeMonkey replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are likely to end up 2-14 or 3-13 and even more irrelevant than last season to the majority of the country. Why in the world would they schedule the Bills for a prime time game. Good news is though, a good shot at all 1pm starts again. -
Does anyone believe he won't get over this
CodeMonkey replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw a clip of Chan talking about that last night. Despite what anyone might think of Gailey as a head coach, no one can say he doesn't know how to mentor young players. That drop might be the best thing that could have happened for Johnson's long term career. -
They could lose the rest, but if they beat NE then I am happy. And if it ends up forcing NE to play the wildcard game, sweet frosting on the cake.
-
If there was a rule about at least 1 player from every team going, then yeah he is the one I would send.

Marquee? Superbowl? Evolving into a Peyton Manning? People, the Bills are 2-9. Woulda-coulda-shoulda means nothing. Fitz has proven himself to be a capable QB to be sure, and a NFL starter with a ton of heart. Over his career Gailey has proven himself to be at least adequate, and this year certainly a inspirational head coach. Be thankful that a team in Buffalo NY has these 2 people and the sprinkling of other reasonable quality players like Fred Jackson. With any luck (and good General Managing) they will be playoff contenders in a couple years. Don't be looking for Peyton Manning or Superbowls. Look forward to capable play and some playoff games at the Ralph.
-
That may be a bit premature and I do not think many players from 2-9 teams go to the pro bowl. And I also doubt many defensive linemen from teams ranked 32 against the run go either. But he certainly is having a good season so far.
-
And Peterson if not out, is wounded.
-
I wasn't really going for the "no harm no foul" thing. Just noticed that Fitz did not react like a guy who got hit in the head is all.

Don't remind me!
