What did you do, call up and ask? I hope that's true, that few and TV would almost certainly buy them. -
How many tickets remaining for Pats game?
CodeMonkey replied to joshua111111's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have apparently stopped saying how many are left. I usually gauge by going to ticketmaster and trying to get blocks of 3, 4, 5 ... tickets together to get an idea. If you are in town and it is blacked out, you could go. People are listing tickets on fleabay looking for half face value and they are not selling. Pick up a cheap ticket there or just go to the game and get one almost free from someone with extras. I strongly suspect it will not sell out. In fact, there are a pair of tickets in 335 row 7 (30 yard line) that are going now for $6.49 and $1.50 shipping for the pair and the auction is over at 5:20 today. No better time to go to a Bills game as far as cost is concerned. -
"Pressure on Brady"? Good luck with that unless you send 8 guys every play. "Keep the Pats offense off the field". A little better chance at doing this than pressuring Brady, but still, good luck with that. You can say "score a touchdown every time a Bill touches the ball" but it is meaningless unless you have a way to make it happen. I think the only shot the Bills have is for Gailey to gamble his ass off. Do things he would never EVER consider doing normally and take the Pats by surprise. Like the onside opening kickoff yesterday. Unfortunately they will probably be looking for that particular one now. We are significantly outmatched on both sides of the ball. Gailey has to pull a wild gameplan out of his ass that makes the opening kickoff onside kick look as dull as Jauron-ball. No doubt Fitz will be game for it, he takes a lot of risks already. I mean, what have they got to lose?

Ralph Wilson says we're number 1!
CodeMonkey replied to BMWR100RT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course this could be interpreted (by those that think Ralph is cheap) as: "We have done so well with castoffs and undrafted players that we pay squat, and drafted so poorly ourselves, that we don't need or want to draft (and pay) top talent. Chan and Buddy will continue to improve the team just the way they have this season." -
If that's the choice the schedulers will choose the fish. It will look like a better game on paper and the fish have somewhat more national appeal than the Bills. Slam dunk for the fish if they get a "name" coach like the Chin this off season.

New England, so what's it gonna be this time?
CodeMonkey replied to McD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have made a fair amount of money taking the Bills and the points this season so far. But I will probably wuss out this week. -
Did the Bills win today because of drugs?
CodeMonkey replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was one who said that Brady was overrated and that anyone could be successful with the teams he played on. But he has shown me wrong this season. I still don't like him, but I do respect his abilities a lot more now than I did. -
Cowher linked to Miami coaching job
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Chin really is interested in Miami I find that interesting because other than the obvious locale differences between Miami and Buffalo, what makes the fish a better team to coach than the Bills? They seem to be almost as much of a train wreck as the Bills at this point. Why would Chin have interest in coaching at Miami now and not Buffalo last year. -
Did the Bills win today because of drugs?
CodeMonkey replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fixed. The fish made many stupid plays, and even more stupid play calls that just that one by Williams. And say what you want about Fitz not being a starter caliber QB etc. etc., but thank God we don't have Henne or Delhome! -
Fitz is certainly good enough for the short term (i.e. during the rebuild process). Not a franchise QB by any means. If DBs ever learn to catch the ball he is in trouble for sure. But with Fitz, QB is not nearly our biggest position of need.
-
You can say the same thing (and many do) every week about several of Fitz's passes. A couple good runs. Some bad plays as well. All in all not too bad for a first game I'd say.

bills +5.5 over fins the gimme of the season?
CodeMonkey replied to beatlebum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As has been said many times before, Vegas could not care less who wins or by how many points. They only care that the line they provide entices an equal amount of money to be be bet on both teams. -
How I would treat Tom Brady
CodeMonkey replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's with the fascination and disdain for teams that "run up the score"? Isn't it the point for offenses to score points? Aren't many players/coaches contracts loaded with scoring/performance incentives? Why shouldn't a team score as often as they can? In this time of great parity among NFL teams, if a team sucks bad enough on any given Sunday that the other team beats them by 40 or 50 points then so be it. If a team does not like it, then do something so that you don't suck so badly. Don't cry about the other team "running up the score". -
The underlying problems with Bills shows again
CodeMonkey replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure what Whitner is looking for compensation wise. But if he is looking for elite safety dollars I think he will be in for a rude awakening if/when he shops himself around the league. He should be happy he still has a job, former first rounder or not. But then again maybe he saw the Kelsay contract and got delusions of grandeur and thought if the Bills would pay Kelsay that much then they might !@#$ up and overpay him too. And regarding the quoted line above, you are delusional if you think every decision in the NFL, and I mean EVERY decision, is not a money decision. -
The skill sets are the same, just one is the mirror image of the other. It should not be a big deal to switch to the same position on the other side of the line. It is a big deal, however, because the players are generally dumber than dirt and can't adapt even that little bit. You said it correctly, you put the better player on your QBs blind side because he is less apt to !@#$ up and get your QB killed. But needing a better player in the QB's blind side does not mean the skill sets are not the same. You just need the player who is better at executing the skill set on the blind side is all.

"You could be a Buffalo Bills fan"
CodeMonkey replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a percentage of people who would be happy no matter what, as long as they stay in Buffalo. -
According to this site we cannot not them out completely. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/East/Dolphins.html But we could but a big hurt on their already low chances of sneaking in. Oh and PS ... the smelly rotten fish SUCK.

Am I wrong hating athletes for these moves?
CodeMonkey replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you are a Rangers fan or a Yankees fan? Anyway, it is a business to the players and owners. Not sure why people have a hard time understanding that. Lee evaluated all offers, including letting teams sweeten them, before deciding on the one he wanted. Simple and understandable. And as a added bonus, he got to give the big FU to Yankees fans after one of them allegedly, and in typical classy Yankee fan style, dumped beer on his wife during the last playoffs. -
Say Something Positive about the 2010 Bills

Despite what you think of any player, a post like this can only come from a major scumbag. Congrats. -
Did we have even 35,000 in the stands yesterday?
CodeMonkey replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah but you always have an EXCELLENT time Nice spin robot man. Brandon should hire you -
Yeah. They have to love people who bet without even understanding what it is they are betting on.
-
They didn't. He is on the sideline in street clothes. Favre has said all along that he would not do that. And he made good. Great things to be remembered for.
-
No, it was not the result of good Bills defensive play in my opinion. He sucks. And yesterday he sucked more than normal. I gave credit where credit was due. The Bills played within themselves and did not turn the ball over like crazy like the Browns did. Also I didn't say, but I should have, that Chan out coached his counterpart. The Browns game plan, if it existed at all, was weak. Chan on the other hand seemed to know what he wanted to do from the opening kickoff.
