  1. They drafted Spiller last year for "excitement". How's that working out so far?
  2. Sign VY to any contract.
  3. Interesting. So what's the point in having preseason, training camp, or OTAs then? Or last years film for that matter?
  4. i understand your points, and I would agree. Like I said earlier that the Bills are light years behind in coaching as well. As far as "winning" the steelers game goes, any given Sunday and all that. Plus I don't think the Ravens or the Steelers this year are all that. But you can't think that the talent level of the Bills is anywhere near that of either the Jets or Pats do you?
  5. I agree completely except for number 3. The Bills are light years behind both the Jets and Pats in talent (coaching, management, as well as players in my opinion). No one coach could "coach up" that group of players to be competitive with those teams. The fact that it was the Jets scrubs makes that point even more disturbing and shows just how wide the gap currently is.
  6. Being fair is almost always the smart move and amending the contract as you suggest sounds like just that. The Bills really can't afford to "balk" outright. There are far too many needs on this team already to voluntarily create another one. Spiller is not a every down back and Jackson knows that, as does Nix and the fans. After the decade of suck + 1 and counting, the ticket buying Bills fans are on suicide watch as it is already. The Bills can't afford to piss them off any more than they already are. That's Jacksons leverage. I disagree that the Bills hold the cards. If they were a solid team already then yes, but not the way things stand now. No reason for Jackson to pull a VJ or be a dickhead in general. But at the same time the Bills have to recognize their situation as well.
  7. I would if I were him. He is the only real every down back they have. Spiller is, and will probably continue to be, a situational player. Fred is in the position of strength and is not getting any younger so I would be doing the same thing in his shoes. If he makes that move I hope it works out for him.
  8. I only care about who ends up in Buffalo, and to a smaller degree who ends up in the AFC East. It doesn't look to me like the Bills are really in the market for a DC (Wanny as a "consultant", whatever the !@#$ that means, doesn't count).
  9. Wilfork needs to STFU and do his own job better rather than trying to second guess anyone else.
  10. If the player didn't have butterfingers it would have worked easily and the talking heads would have been calling him a genius (again). It was a calculated risk that didn't go his way, but definitely not stupid. And PS ... you suck for making me defend Bellicheat. I need to go rinse my mouth out now
  11. When Bellicheat says keep your mouth shut he means it.
  12. Don't give the Bills management too much credit. Fixed it for you. And in an attempt to get back on topic, I agree with the OP. Jets and Pack in the SB. I think the Pack end up winning it all in a close game. Rodgers >>>>>>>> (MUCH better than) Sanchez
  13. Which is exactly how it should be for all sports stadiums!!!
  14. The stadium is old. From the crumbling pitted concrete everywhere, to the old dingy concession areas, to the 300's bench seating, to the disgusting bathrooms. I have never seen the player facilities but compared to modern stadiums I suspect they are lacking as well. It would be silly to expect a new stadium in Buffalo now with the future ownership in question. The Ralph may not quite be an embarrassment to the NFL, but it is heading that direction.
  15. I am talking WAY beyond this incident. Rex has spent his entire career being a media whore by shooting his mouth off. As much as I dislike the Pats I hope Marcia and the boys send Rex home with his tail between his legs this weekend.
  16. Brady is on no pedestal with me. I hate the SOB. He is one of, if not the, best ever. But I still can't stand him. But Rex Ryan complaining about someone shooting their mouth off is absurd and is very much the pot calling the kettle black.
  17. I for one hope Rex takes it up the ass again this weekend.
  18. And Rex doesn't have a big !@#$ing mouth. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
  19. He can learn to run north-south. I expect him to improve in this way next season. I think generally he hits the holes (when there was any) too quickly, not to slowly like you are saying. He needs to learn to wait for his blocks to happen. He tries to hit the hole too early and ends up trying to bounce it outside. I also expect this to improve next season. I agree that he is too small, cannot pass block, and doesn't seem all that adept at running pass routes. I hated the pick then and I still do now. If Gailey can figure out a way to use him effectively next season (which he couldn't do this season) and Spiller improves in the ways mentioned above, he won't be a bust. That is a lot of "if's" for a #9 pick going into his second season though. I hope Nix does a considerably better job at the draft this year.
  20. I'd rather he just kept his damn mouth shut and not said anything. Or if he felt the need to make some kind of statement, make it just the second part of what he said (doing everything he can this off season etc.). One member, and not even a major contributor, of a 4-12 amazingly far from the playoffs team like Buffalo making a statement telling the teams fans to buy playoff tickets next season makes him come off sounding like a complete !@#$. In my opinion anyway.
  21. Exactly. With two strong teams in the AFCE the Bills will always have a hard schedule. That's 25% of their games right there. But don't spoil the moment with logic, the world is out to get the Bills
  22. Yeah you would think with the last game being such an embarrassment to the Jets they might STFU this time. Too much to expect of a Rex Ryan team I guess.
  23. I agree. But the talking heads say it so, so ... it is so
  24. He must be renting some buses and buying a block of tickets for the players.
  25. They did do the right thing ... in a ass backwards sort of way. Lynch wanted out in large part, I believe, because of the Spiller draft. He did not want a 3 way split of the touches. Given the fact that the Bills drafted Spiller (a mistake in my opinion, but that's another matter) the Bills did the right thing in getting rid of Lynch instead of Jackson. Unfortunately every GM in the league knew the Bills pretty much had to dump 1 running back so it became a buyers market. But C'est la vie.
