  1. That stat is almost meaningless because I believe it does not take proficiency into account. A QB can have 3rd and 20 every time and complete 2 yard passes every time and have a great passer rating. Does the team absolutely no good however. Here is another stat, overall QB rating. Fitz ranks 22 there with a 81.8. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating/year/2010/seasontype/2
  2. I prefer the 1:00 games actually. But my response to your question would be, With the way the Bills have sucked major ass the past 11 years, what would be the incentive for the NFL to put them on in prime time?
  3. Oct 30 against Washington is the Toronto game. Don;t always believe what you read, particularly leaks.
  4. You guys are funny with all this smokescreen nonsense to trick other GMs. Do you seriously think for one minute that any GM is going to pay attention to anything another GM says to the press now? They are all full of **** and are not going to say anything that will give away who they want. The only people paying attention to what Nix or any other GM is saying to the press is you.
  5. No draft yet so people are making predictions mainly based on last years team. Based on last seasons records, the Bills have the 2nd hardest schedule this season. Second hardest schedule and the team had 4 wins last year and people are predicting 9 wins this season? Logic does not run rampant on this board, but you have to respect the blind optimism
  6. http://www.nfl.com/schedules/interactive#/team=BUF Opponents 2010 cumulative record 137-119-0. 2nd hardest.
  7. Last years draft was underwhelming to say the least. And the 4-12 season was a train wreck. There is nothing to be encouraged about as far as I'm concerned. I hope NOT to be able to make that same statement this time next year! "completely different" doesn't necessarily mean better.
  8. All but the first one are accurate statements about last season. Fitz had the majority of the season with starter reps. That should have been enough, particularly by the end of the season. And in fact as far as the last one goes I'd say you are being very generous when you say the OLine gave him mediocre pass protection. But there were many times, including critical situations, that he got decent protection, the receiver was open etc. etc. and he flat out missed the opportunity because his accuracy is just not quite good enough to be a significant QB at this level. That's just the harsh reality of the situation. You don't like that, and that is fine. In fact based on the current poll results I'd say there are many who feel the same way you do. But listing excuses while ignoring the basic fact seems ill conceived. In my opinion anyway.
  9. And the sun was in his eyes and the grass was to long. There, that should about cover the excuses now.
  10. Awww guys come on, let them Billieve. Now is the only time they can. Don't pee in their corn flakes
  11. The smarts and the guts for sure anyway. I doubt anyone here would argue against that.
  12. Corrected it for you. If the Sabres players don't want penalties called on them, then they shouldn't commit the offenses. Simple as that. The refs did not beat the Sabres, and the Flyers did not beat the Sabres. The Sabres beat themselves. It's not catastrophic though, it was an away game and they had already taken one there. If this season has shown us anything it's that they can and generally do bounce back quickly from a game like that. I suspect we won't see another game that bad in this series.
  13. Fairly hardcore? What would you consider very hardcore then, shaving his head and getting a Bills helmet tattooed on?
  14. I think it's more a combination of excitement for the upcoming season, a strong dose of koolaid, and the belief that Nix and company won't waste this years first pick. No harm really, they just want to Billieve really bad.
  15. Well that sucks. If you were home you could watch via the internet.
  16. It confirms what has been said above (but not the 638 part) Buffalo Sabres at Philadelphia Flyers 9:30 pm 603 604 Los Angeles Kings at San Jose Sharks 10:00 pm 603 604
  17. I just searched TitanTV for the direcTV lineup and it shows what you said. Only showing the Sabres games from 9:30-10:00 (more or less, I assume when the Habs-Bruins game ends they will switch). According to that lineup you really get boned. You don't get game 2 at all, you get the full game 3 Monday on VS and the 30 minute thing again for game 4 on Wednesday, also on VS. That's the ONLY reason I stay with cable. Between MSG and VS I should get all the sabres playoff games in HD as well as almost all of the regular season games. I don't see that channel on the TitanTV listing. Did that add that for the playoffs?
  18. That's fairly obvious after last years first pick. I liked at the end where he said they were doing due diligence by talking with everyone and if he knew who the #3 would be he would tell the ESPN guys. Which tells me they are at least keeping an open mind. Again, fairly obvious though (at least for most teams). Not sure why they bother talking with GMs now. All they will get is a bunch of cliche's and non committal responses. Being smart is not a requirement to be employed by the NFL or any of it's teams.
  19. I don't want it to fail completely, but I am hoping for a "black friday" type market correction. In my opinion that would be well worth missing a season for.
  20. Why does your anger seem to be aimed only at the owners? The players are just as greedy.
  21. Aug 27 is a Saturday I'm hoping that's "kids day".
  22. I disagree. It would take 0 years to have the same level of talent. And that's because as soon as the owners made that statement and started acting on it, the current players would come running. If they didn't show they would be in breach of contract and the owners would be free to sign whomever they wanted to. The owners could also probably file a lawsuit against the players who did not show and get some of their money back. Like it was said above, most players have a short shelf life and cannot afford to throw away a years pay. If the owners had good spin guys, they could even come off like the good guys after all was said and done. It worked for Reagan back in 1981 (I believe) with the air traffic controllers. The owners hold all the cards here, I don't understand at all why they are !@#$ing around. They just need to grow a pair.
  23. Caveat emptor I suppose.
  24. Well then time to get the autographed bottle Must be math challenged marketing people there (or they think their customers are math challenged). Usually the bigger quantity you buy the less it costs you. But there: 6 bottle pack = $29.99 2 bottle pack = $9.99 so three 2 packs = 6 bottles costs $29.97
  25. Has anyone tried the sauce?
