NHL SABRES VS NFL BILLS TOMORROW!!!

Yeah a friend reminded me of the locker room remodel late yesterday. Said he saw PR pictures of Ruff and others swinging sledge hammers. I agree with your take on the Sabres event, a lot of fun. Rayzor is always a fun guy to talk to, very personable particularly with kids. -

It would be very impressive if 15,000 showed up for an event like that in the rain. I wouldn't put it past Bills fans. -
NHL SABRES VS NFL BILLS TOMORROW!!!

Could very well be, particularly if it's not raining. But for me having my kids meet some players and get autographs and play some floor hockey in the arena seems like more fun than watching a fashion show and a movie we have all seen before. That's just me though. Enjoy. -
1) Who gives a **** if they were drinking a mixed drink or a shot and a beer. 2) Maybe they were drinking virgin drinks because, oh I don't know, maybe they (hopefully) have a season starting soon and they are getting themselves ready for it.

+1 Not sure what his cap hit is now, but that could be a problem.

NHL SABRES VS NFL BILLS TOMORROW!!!

That would only demonstrate how far back they had to go to show a time when the Bills were relevant. They are in a difficult position. Nothing recent that's any good to show of the Bills, but they almost have to show something more than some dudes modelling a uniform. For me the place to be is HSBC arena. Last year they gave tours of the locker room. Hope they do the same this year. -
Fezmid is correct. This is not the same as putting a splitter on your cable TV coax.

New LA Team could come Thru Buffalo

I think you are nuts. Even if they believed the Bills will be leaving WNY what incentive do the good ole boys have for taking a big gamble? If the Bills move, they have a good chance of being retained and simply move with the team. They seem to have a rebuild plan in mind and would have to be stupid to do as you suggest. -
Very nice of you! For others, we got ours on stubhub for $9 per ticket. Don't be a sucker (like I have been in previous years) and buy the kids tickets for $10 while paying full price for the adults from the Bills ticket office.

A uniform is "exciting" ?? I guess we agree to disagree there. I can't imagine anything less important or exciting regarding a sports franchise. There are plenty of things to do on a Friday night, particularly when that Friday night is in the very short WNY time of year when outdoor things are enjoyable to almost everyone. The robot mentioned a few above. With me just relaxing with friends and family is up there. Watching a sales pitch cleverly disguised as a fashion show is not one of them ... at least not to me. But like you said to each his/her own.
-
My opinion is how hard up do you have to be for something to do on a Friday night to go to an "event" that consists of someone walking out onto the field to model a new uniform (and of course to get you into the Bills Store to buy jerseys of said uniform). To those who view it strictly as an excuse to tailgate ... OK, I get that. But to the rest of you who are excited by this ... seriously?????

The NFL does not give a rats ass about where they are geographically. They only care about where they are economically. The bolded part is excellent advice for everyone. There is nothing to gain from worrying about things 100% outside of your control. -
Ralph Wilson Stadium to be Smoke Free

Just saw that, slide 7 in particular fits several of the discussions in this thread. -
My wife called the Bills ticket office to confirm and they did, the kids day preseason game this year (assuming they are playing by then) is on Saturday August 27 at 7pm against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ralph Wilson Stadium to be Smoke Free

Yeah that's one of the more disgusting aspects of that addiction. I once saw someone throw one out the window of his car when he was parked and asked why he didn't use the ashtray in his car. He responded that he didn't want to get the ashtray dirty and didn't want his car to stink. -

Yes it does, just agreeing with you. -

Absolutely no way that is happening. Like everything in the NFL, its all about the money. $9 beers is a big money maker for the concession people. -
Individual Game Tickets go on sale today
CodeMonkey replied to K-No's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My wife got called by the Bills yet again today to buy season tickets (this has turned into a monthly ritual). According to the sales guy there are tickets available pretty much everywhere this season. I guess the lockout and the long period of suckage is taking its toll on season ticket sales. -

To all the smokers, you might want to try those electronic smokeless cigarettes. I know a couple people that switched to them because they got sick of feeling like a drug addicted outcast having to go outside or to a designated outcast area to smoke. They love the things. Only puff a couple of times instead of having to smoke an entire stick, and it is legal to use anywhere. No simple solution for the raging alcoholics at the games though. -

Also according to the news, the parking lots will open one hour later than last year (1 less hour of tailgating). -
Very cool story, thanks for sharing it

Liking all the feel-good stuff is fine and dandy. But tell me one thing. As you stated Fitz is the QB for this season at the very least. Who in the organization be it player, coach, front office suit, or waterboy is going to say anything bad about the person they already KNOW is the QB in the upcoming season? What would be the upside to saying Fitz is inaccurate, or chokes or anything else negative about him? I'll answer for you, there is no upside so no one in their right mind would do it. So if it is a no win situation to say bad things about Fitz, what is the point of your statements like "I don't think you can find a single person in this entire organization that doesn't think Fitz can get the job done." ? Of course they are going to say they think Fitz can get the job done, whether they believe it or not.

I don't recall saying anywhere that the Bills have to suck for all of eternity. Just saying how some people, apparently you being one but maybe not, seem to think the only thing you have to do to get a great coach is offer them a lot of money. It is my opinion that there are a lot of factors, and near the bottom of the list is money. I will shorten to one key phrase ... any team that is interested in a top flight coach will offer them a lot of money, that alone will not draw the top talent. No need to get personal.

I'm not sure why some people think throwing money at a "name" coach is going to work. Consider the following: 1) Any "name" coach is going to have money already. 2) Any "name" coach is going to get a big money offer from any team that wants them. 3) Any "name" coach is going to go to a team where they can have success in a short time, not have to rebuild from scratch and take 5 years or longer. 4) Any "name" coach is going to want to go to a team with an established very good QB already in place, or at least in the system and being groomed. 5) The Bills have sucked for the vast majority of their existence. 6) The Bills are perceived, real or not, that any time they manage to get a good player, said player ends up on another team when their rookie contract expires, if not sooner. What "name" coach in their right mind comes to Buffalo? This is how we ended up with Nix and Gailey. And as far as aspiring young coaches go, even they want some chance of success to make a name for themselves. Teams like the Bills end up getting desperate, not aspiring. Lastly, and I know this is way at the bottom of the list, the Bills are in Buffalo NY. I said it before, I think the Bills did a great job getting Gailey, and Nix for that matter. I believe it to be the absolute best they could get given the above circumstances.
