  1. I can't imagine anywhere near a 17 point spread 3 games into the regular season unless the Bills completely fall flat on their faces the first 2 games. Probably more like Pats -8.5.
  2. I noticed that at camp. I think it is because he has that odd 3/4 delivery, almost sidearm. He has to throw as hard as he can every pass to get any zip on it at all and that makes it looked forced. And this also causes his accuracy issues particularly on the longer routes. At least that's my theory. But overall he is fine for now.
  3. The hammers lot website shows directions from 20 and 20a. I guess now if you are arriving within 5 hours of game time you have to come in from 20a (Big Tree Road) huh.
  4. You may see him catching bombs again now that he has Flacco throwing to him. Time will tell.
  5. Evans wasn't really a NFL caliber #1 in my opinion, but he was the best we had. Now we truly do not have a #1, but we have a handful of #2's. And this is probably fine for this season anyway, unless you were expecting 9 or 10 wins this season of course.
  6. Had a quick look on ticketmaster and it is looking good so far up through the Philly game. Only a few thousand or less each still available. It looks bad after that right now though. From the Jests game and beyond there are many thousands of seats left for each game. If the the Bills manage to come out of the gate hot this season, they should sell. If not, get your internet-ready TV warmed up
  7. To me this is an admission that Nix knows he is still in major rebuilding mode and does not expect much from the offense this year. So he figured he'd take the 4th now when he could get it rather than gamble on getting nothing for Evans after this season. I'm not sure I agree, particularly with Evans in the cheap years of his contract, but it's Buddys call. Hopefully he gets someone decent next draft or this just makes him look foolish. I'm happy for Evans though. Gives him a shot with Flacco who can put the ball accurately downfield.
  8. If Carolina actually offered a first and a second then Nix fumbled in my opinion.
  9. If any team is stupid enough to give up a 1st round pick for Evans the Bills would be monumentally stupid not to take it. But I can't see any team making that kind of mistake. I think a high 2nd might be worth the trade as well for the Bills. Anything lower than that and the Bills are better served to hang on to Lee. Evans is no stud in my opinion, far from it actually. But he is probably the best we have right now so you would need to get an offer for him that will significantly help your rebuild process in order to pull the trigger.
  10. Compare the QB, RB, and WR of GB to the Bills and you will see the reason why.
  11. Ahhhh ok I have a surprise entry. I actually think Spiller might be able to start and do well on a team with a solid offensive line that could reliably open holes. I think if Spiller gets past the line he could do some damage.
  12. Two or three of the Bills offensive line on peoples lists when the Bills Oline is generally considered to be the weak link on this 11 years running cellar dweller team. Classic August. Billieve on
  13. Ralph is cheap. (Ha PTR I beat you to it this time! )
  14. The beardy comes through again Keep dry!
  15. I'm trying to figure out who the 2nd proven WR that he mentions is.
  16. What's the fun in being an optimist when it comes to football? Why can't you just see things how they are, not artificially bad or good?
  17. They don't have the game on in the Amsterdam Coffee shops?
  18. The offense is the same as last season, so while you could legitimately say stagnant, regressed seems illogical. This team had gone downhill for 10 years to become the gigantic turd you saw last season. That took 10 years to create, it did not happen overnight. And getting the team back to respectability will also not happen overnight. You only get so many early draft picks per year, and Nix believes in building through the draft and only supplementing with FAs (which I happen to agree with). Frustration is natural in this case. But this, unfortunately, will require patience. And a little warning, don't expect much better this year in the W/L column. Next draft hopefully the offensive line will be addressed and the Bills will start to resemble a NFL team again.
  19. Now there's a guy who REALLY thinks the Bills are going to over achieve this season
  20. No, posts above declared that the fish were a lock for last and would go 0-6. I was not stating that would be how the Bills made out.
  21. The "pessimists" blame the Bills in some capacity. A particular player like Trent last season. Or TO not trying for example. Or ****ty coaching, decent players not wanting to live in Buffalo, Ralph being cheap and so on. The "optimists" tend to blame bad luck, injuries, the refs being biased (if you don't think this is true read some threads from last season, they were an eye opener), the media hating Buffalo, the NFL wanting to move the Bills out of Buffalo, Ralph for the Toronto series and so on. The only common ground seems to be blaming Mr. Wilson. At least that's what I remember from seasons past.
  22. No. You would base it on the entire 4-12 season. But like eball said, no reason to get your panties in a bunch before even the first preseason game is played.
  23. Some of you guys are setting yourselves up for a potentially very big let down. Lock for last in the AFC East 0-6 in the division. If we lose to the fish and/or end up behind them in the AFC east we are going to have to put you guys on suicide watch
