If you paid $25 for a Chinese one then no matter what happens you will get your monies worth just out of this season.
If you got one from the Bills store, Fitz will probably still be on the team next season as the backup at the very least.
So no, not dumb.
Sigh. Maybe that whaambulance is loud enough that is affecting your brain.
I never said to sign, or not sign, anyone. All I said was signing current players for future years is not a reason for being far under the cap now as the OP suggested. Please read and try and understand something before you complain about it.
No I do not. But I also do not buy the premise of the OP that the current lack of spending is a plan to resign existing players in the future either. Your premise, that they can't find players that will sign with the Bills in order to spend the money makes much more sense in my opinion.
My prediction ... If he blogs that the Bills are on the verge of greatness he is a true journalist who takes the time to analyze a team with great insight. However if he thinks the Bills are stagnant, making bad moves and signing mediocre players and coaches then he is a media hack that goes along with the status quo and hates small market teams in general and the city of Buffalo in particular.
So they do not want to sign better players that could make them a better team now. Instead they want to save the money now so that they can resign the key players from the 4-12 season last year? Even though if they spent the money this year on short term veteran improvements they could cut these players in the future when they needed to in order to fit under the cap? This is your logic? This theory makes the Bills front office seems so stupid that it makes you look like a "gloomer" in my opinion. LOL
I am not privy to the inner working of OBD, but I sure as hell hope you are not correct for the sake of the Bills future!
Say what you will about Sully, he is dead nuts on with this one.
The NFL should be embarrassed about their preseason policies on ticket prices including raping season ticket holders regarding preseason tickets.
Apparently the declared gate was 18,000.
One preseason play takes care of that? Even a broken clock is right twice a day
But thanks for starting this thread. I will make sure not to be late watching it tonight. I'd hate to miss Spillers good play
My son gets sports illustrated and a writer in the latest issue (didn't ask his name) thinks the Bills will go 7-9 and come in 3rd in the AFC East.
That's not far from .500 and I'd call him a professional.
I see somewhere between 4 and 6 wins likely myself but if the Bills stay healthy (particularly Merriman and Dareus) and their opponents have key injuries i could see 7 wins.
I never understood how the NFL got away with that one since sunday ticket subscribers do pay money to watch the games.
Back in the day I was able to change the zipcode on my directv smartcard (that goes in the receiver) to Utica on Bills blackout gamedays and watch the game anyway. Unfortunately not possible anymore. You can still find a buddy outside the blackout area who gets the ticket and have him add an extra receiver under his contract and send it to you. A lot of work for 3 or 4 blacked out games a season though
Yes the ticket gets blacked out too.
The first 2 are already sold out and the Toronto game is technically a sellout as well.
The rest are going to depend upon how well the Bills play up to that point.
They didn't like how it looked when they stated the truth ...
However, the league imposes several strict television policies to ensure that they maximize the profits of the greedy !@#$s that are the NFL.
