+1 The raiders beat Denver last night and will most likely not roll over like KC did Sunday.

QBR: Fitzpatrick dominates Sanchez
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably because they were REALLY ****ty. One game against a marginal team is not going to change peoples minds about a team that has wallowed in mediocrity (at best) for more than 10 years. Beat the raiders and the pats then heads will start to turn. -
Stevie J Taking a Lot of Heat From Chief Fans
CodeMonkey replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was helmet to knee and slightly from behind. And if it was Berry doing that to Johnson this board would be as pissed off about it as KC fans are. It looks to me like it was an attempted block that was missed and ill advised. More bad judgement than intent to injure. -
The attendance at yesterday's opener

Ok, who gets your game ball?
CodeMonkey replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan Gailey gets the game ball from me. He called a masterful game in my opinion. I'd give 2 others, Chandler and Freddy. -
Typical National Media Slant...
CodeMonkey replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The chiefs played a horrible game in every aspect. From the opening kickoff on. Embarrassing. Based on preseason and this one game, the KC fans may be in for a LONG season. The Bills on the other hand played a sound game. No crippling mistakes. I thought that the 3 people who had great games were Gailey, Chandler, and Freddy J. and a honorable mention to Dareus. But otherwise the Bills played a good mistake free game. I would not expect the national media to report on the game any different than they did. If the Bills spank the raiders and the pats, then you will start to see some heads turn. But that game was such an abomination by KC that most can't give a lot of credit to the Bills. -
Yes effectively 2 less days of preparation. Gotta believe that helps the Bills.

A little perspective is required here as well. This was one game against what would certainly appear to be this years "worst team in the nfl" based on that one game. Yes whatever local media said the Bills were the worst in the NFL this season either had their heads up their asses or were just trolling. But lets not clear a space for the Lombardi trophy just yet either

The loss of Evans was not monumental due to the Bills utilizing a short game which is the strength of Fitz. The addition of a TE worth a **** had a huge impact on the play of the offense. Way way more than I, and apparently the KC DC, expected. Result: Offense is better than last year. The defense added Dareus and even though the stats may not show it, he had a big impact on the game. Barnett/Poz was at worst a wash. Merriman was a surprising non-factor, at least at first glance. But he did last the game with only some missed time in the first quarter. Result: Defense is better than last year. How much better is still the question however. KC is obviously a mess. Every aspect of their game from coaches to players was just horrible yesterday. I was hoping for, and expecting, a test of our run defense but what I got was a embarrassing blowout that left me still wondering how much the run D has improved over last year. A short week for the Raiders followed by a cross country flight costing them a day should give the Bills an edge this Sunday as well. I enjoy a blowout where we are not the embarrassed team as much as anyone here. But I hope the raiders bring it Sunday instead of folding like KC did just because I'd hate the Pats to be the first time the Bills are tested this season. Of course blowing out the Pats is entirely acceptable

Dear so called experts...................
CodeMonkey replied to SUNTANBILLSFAN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well to be honest KC did look horrible. But the Bills played a sound game. No big mistakes, played within themselves, and made the plays that they needed to make. Chan also called a very sound game, using the wildcat effectively and exploited the fact that KC did not give the Bills TE any consideration when game planning. And what can I say about Freddy J. other than he and Spiller should exchange contracts. All in all a very encouraging performance. The only negative is Chan still has not figured out what to do with Spiller. -

Sure is nice to have a TE isn't it? -
I expected a close game and it was anything but. A solid performance on both sides of the ball.

No mistakes by the Bills. Lots by KC. Spiller is worthless, Freddy is an animal. McGee out and Merriman as well? Bills O looks a lot more in sync than KC's. All in all I will take that half! -
Erie, PA is considered a Bills market

I have a lot of family there and I can tell you for a fact that it is steelers country to be sure. I can also say with complete confidence that PTR speaks the truth -
Every damn video, every single one

Yes Poz sucks, Donte sucks, everyone who leaves the Bills sucks. We get that already. -
Bills 2011 captains announced
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just got the same info via Bills text. -
Maybe it isn't so much not acknowledging it as not believing the Bills run D is that much improved over last year from adding Dareus, replacing Poz with a 4th in the depth chart GB LB, a and question mark in Merriman. I too am hoping that KC gets a VERY rude surprise tomorrow but they could just as easily be right as wrong. Tomorrow should show us EXACTLY how much improved the run D is. I am very looking forward to it!

Any chance of blue pants on Sunday????
CodeMonkey replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who gives a **** what color their !@#$ing pants are??? -
All indications are that Cassel will start. I think that is a good thing because I'm curious to see just how much the D has improved. Link

steve johnson talks moving slow
CodeMonkey replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's the mystery? Johnson is trying to get more money now in case he does not cut it as a #1 now that Evans is gone. And Nix wants to see how Johnson performs this season as a #1 before he coughs up any more money. Net result is no contract extension until later. Pretty simple. -
ESPN: Golic (big surprise) and Schefter pick the Bills. The rest (including accuscore and "pick'em") pick KC. Mortensen went for a couple upsets, Fish over Pats and Sea over SF. But not the Bills over KC. ESPN Week 1 Predictions Might not have to worry about that. Link

Only 44???? You negative nancy! I see it like this: Bills return opening kickoff for a TD, + 2 point conversion: 8 Bills D gets one pick 6 per quarter + 2 point conversion on each: 32 Bills O gets two TDs per quarter (only 2 because they feel bad for KC) + 2 point conversion on each: 64 Total: Bills 104 KC 0

Game preview from a Chiefs homer
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The author said he thought it was going to be a close game with KC winning. Most Bills homers would write the same stuff but give the advantage to the Bills and have the Bills winning a close game. A KC homer wrote it instead of a Bills homer. That's the only difference.
