If you had looked at the rest of that web page, say the far right QB rating, you would see Rodgers at 130.7, 9 other guys (#5 was 97), then Fitz at #11 with 87.4. Which actually is better than I would have guessed. But I think that QB rating calculation favors the short game that was successful for the Bills early in the season.

A deep threat without a QB that can deliver it deep is no threat. Simply having a deep threat is not going to make defenses play off the line enough to let Fitz play his short game. They simply are one dimensional.

What if the Bills actually had a season where someone didn't have to post a "what if" thread in November.

Fitz cannot consistently throw accurately deep. That 3/4 sidearm delivery means he has to throw it as hard as he can to get it 15 yards on a line and that makes him inaccurate deep. That's why he throws so many WTF passes. Deep threats are irrelevant with Fitz at QB which I believe is one reason the Bills traded Evans away.

Dude ... the Bills sucked, pure and simple, and in every way possible there was to suck. That's why they lost. Cherry picking stats that make it look closer than it was is meaningless. Go watch the replay of that game and tell me you think that game was close. It's time to move on to "Spiller time" and see what this kid is made of.

Maybe Sexy Rexy expects the game to be over at halftime so he plays Brunel the 2nd half.

I strongly suspect you and I both have spent more time watching Fitz than Warner has. What does Warner rate Fitz now? My opinion does not change based on the last couple games like most of the talking heads do. Bolded: Uhhhh OK. If you say so. You are saying you want to build the offense around a career backup (until now) who does not have the skills to start on the vast majority of teams in the NFL simply because he does not suck as much as Edwards, Johnson, or Losman? Seriously? It is almost impossible not to like Fitz. Like you said he is smart, durable, and level headed. But a starting QB at the NFL level he simply is not. Much less a franchise guy that you build an offense around in my opinion.

Anyone who watched the last 3 games and thinks the Bills will bounce back against one of the teams that humiliated them within those 3 weeks is a God of optimism in my opinion! And I salute you!

Well, yeah. That has been Fitz his entire career. Why he has been a career backup until now. He has that awkward, inaccurate semi-sidearm delivery that he has to throw as hard as he can to get it 15 yards on a line. This should not be news to anyone who watches the Bills regularly. Anyone who thinks Fitz has or ever had a remote chance of being a franchise QB is delusional in my opinion. He is what he is, a very durable, very smart, very good backup QB. Although looking only at his contract I can see how one might think otherwise.

Looking at the remaining schedule I don't see any comfortable wins unless Gailey can pull a rabbit out of his hat. But if that was coming I think we would have seen it against the Fish.

And the rub it in by mopping up with JP. Nice.
