  1. Here is an expression of a common viewpoint. Nothing exactly earth shattering, but I thought this line was cute. Also I can't imagine there is any hope of a sellout to the remaining home games. Just on stubhub there are 2210 tickets for the Titans, 3006 for the fish, and 4166 for Tebow all selling at far below face. Only an idiot would pay full price for a ticket now. Looks like its low res internet viewing on the TV for me.
  2. That is an interesting way to put it Doc. "Avoid going to the game". There are plenty of reasons to avoid going to the game which have been discussed ad nauseum in other threads. In my opinion however, the blackout rule is there to put more money into the fat wallets of the NFL owners and that is all. What I don't quite understand though is how the NFL gets away with it. At least for now, the people in the blackout area pay for the stadiums and services provided to the teams. And if that isn't enough, people who pay for the sunday ticket get blacked out when a portion (a big one I suspect) of the money they pay goes to the NFL. But I digress. Back to the topic at hand. There is no reason for Mr. Wilson to pay for any remaining tickets. That makes him no money, in fact its costs him some. If anyone should buy the tickets it is the die hard fans who believe non-sellouts pushes the Bills further to relocation, and the TV stations in the blacked out areas that might find it easier to sell commercial time during a Bills game than Heidi.
  3. Well at least on Dec 1st the Bills aren't mathematically eliminated for a change. On life support mind you but not eliminated
  4. I went into this season thinking 6-10 would be a probable outcome. The Bills have sucked so bad for so long that it is highly unlikely it could be turned around in one season. People who expect this kind of turn around puzzle me. It is like people who are 150lb overweight who get upset that they go to the gym 2 days in a row but didn't lose 50lb. You didn't put that weight on overnight and it won't come off overnight either. It is the same with the Bills. Now I don't forgive the decline and the overall sorry state of this franchise. The blame falls primarily on Mr. Wilson for letting it happen. I also am not sold on Nix or Gailey being the shining star genius's that no one else noticed for 30 years that some like to believe. But as much as I think they whiffed badly on their first draft, I think that so far anyway it seems their second draft may have been solid. I will give them another year or two as long as they continue to show progress in bringing this team back to relevance in the NFL and not just a joke. If they regress and if there is someone better available, and more importantly willing, to be the GM or HC then so be it. The OP may consider this a loser mentality but I consider his a emotional rather than logical one.
  5. In my opinion the Bills already have zero big time talent at that position for reasons cited in numerous threads already. Not saying to let him go mind you as having him as #2 WR would be a great plus for the team.
  6. He forgot the other cliches: "They are a great team and we just happened to win today" "He gives 110%" "We just have to take it one game at a time" "We came out a little more focused this game knowing there was no tomorrow" "We have come together as a team"
  7. Lack of effort is clearly inexcusable, agree with you there 100%. Stupidity ranks up there with me as well.
  8. Ahhhh the age old cry of the Bills fan. Twelve years straight of hearing that starts to make it fall on deaf ears however.
  9. That is always the case here. The "what ifs" are limited to only the things that would have turned L's into W's and not the other way around.
  10. Plax is right in this case. There were at least 3 drops by Johnson, but only 2 I can think of that probably would have changed the outcome of the game. And acting like an !@#$ is stupid in hindsight and every other sight. Just plain stupid.
  11. As long as it's #2 WR money and not #1 I'm good with that. I could give a **** about his twitter account.
  12. Yeah I agree with you completely and have said so all along. Spiller in the right environment would probably be doing great. Unfortunately (for him and the team) the Bills and Gailey are not the right environment.
  13. Johnson is an !@#$ and acts like a spoiled child. And if he was on an opposing team and did those things the same people defending him now would be reaming him. That being said, he is a very good #2 receiver who chokes on the big plays. He owned Revis all game yesterday and that simply does not happen. They should pay him what he is worth, but I'm sure Johnson will think he is worth more. So let him hit the FA market and test the waters then sign him to a reasonable contract. With his antics and the way he drops the big ones its not like teams will be lining up to offer him #1 WR money.
  14. I do not see any improvement in his blocking any more than his running. For example, if I am not mistaken, he whiffed horrifically on one of the Maybin sacks, did he not?
  15. According to this site, if the Bills win out they still have a 63.3% chance of making the playoffs
  16. Ummmmm you do realize that 20 years brings you back to 1991 and that the Bills were in the superbowl 91-94? You might have a case at 15 years, and 10 absolutely. But not 20.
  17. Overall he did have a great game today. He made Revis look average and that is not a easy thing to do. The celebration penalty was a bush league move but I can forgive that because it is his personality. However there is no way ... NO WAY ... a #1 WR (if you think that is what Johnson is) blows the big plays he did today. Yes the pass in the end zone was behind him and Fitz blew that pass as well, but a #1 WR makes that catch every time in that situation.
  18. Very insightful Captain Obvious.
  19. Pretty pedestrian performance is my assessment. Had a couple decent runs early in the second half, but otherwise *yawn*. 19 carries for 55 yards (2.9 YPC) Fitz had 34 yards. 3 catches for 15 yards
  20. I also don't think anyone got injured for a change.
  21. Most in one game in his career I believe. He should have had 4 pics instead of TDs. Yes, truly unbelievable. But the missed pics are on the players, not Edwards.
  22. And Sanchez was flat out horrible.
  23. Damn, Sanchise sure tried to give that game to the Bills. Johnson and Fitz refused the offer.
  24. A bit bi-polar indeed.
