Do We Really Have That Many Holes
CodeMonkey replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you misunderstood my post. Looking at your original post: LB is full of holes. - I counted as 2 starters needed D-line could use an end. - 1 starter needed O-line is a player away. - 1 starter needed WR needs another playmaker, two if we lose SJ - 1 starter needed, 2 if they don't resign SJ That made at least 5 starters that in your mind are still needed by the Bills. Then you followed that up with So we aren't that far away. So my question to you was/is, if you think the Bills need at least 5 starters, how many good drafts will that take to fill? Do you think, for example, that year 3 of the rebuild process (i.e. next season) can fill that many positions? If not, how many more years? -
Bad calls in favor of Pats
CodeMonkey replied to mountainwampus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that's obviously the reason the Bills lost such a lopsided game and were 6-10. -
So, why no love for Fitz? How was 6-10 his fault?
CodeMonkey replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you completely. Which is why an accurate QB is higher on my list of needs that it seems to be on yours. I just wish I could snap my fingers and make it so, but unfortunately good QBs don't grow on trees. -

I count at least 5 starters in your list. How many successful drafts is that, assuming "build through the draft" is still in effect? -
This years playoffs haven't even started yet and Bills fans are counting the wins for next season and making playoff plans Remember my friend, a lot of people here were thinking 8-10 wins this season. But given this is year three of the ChaNix rebuild, and that on paper anyway it is an easier schedule than this season, demanding at least 8-8 is not unreasonable. [ Man I just re-read this. How sad is it that 3 years in and 8-8 is all I want to hold them accountable for ]

4-12 and 6-10 is enough right there to say there are weaknesses. But QB is a glaring one. Look at the Jets, by all accounts a team that should challenge for at least the AFC championship. But their QB is underperforming (perhaps a bust) and they are out of the playoffs. In my opinion the Bills are in serious need of: QB (which they almost certainly won't get) #1 WR If they don't resign Johnson, a #2 WR. A couple LB's Depth everywhere. and they could use: OL DL Upgrade to DB. -

In order for me to even watch the Bills next year....
CodeMonkey replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, you like what you have seen of Spiller enough to want to make him the feature back over FredEX, who many (everywhere, not just in Buffalo) felt was the best back in the NFL until he got hurt this season? I think that Gailey still believes Fitz is his QB. He will blame the last 10 games on IR, or Fitz was sore or something. They won't use a high pick, or probably any pick, on a QB. "Me First" ... I suspect they will try and resign Johnson and hopefully they can come to a fair arrangement to both sides and get it done. If SJ somehow manages to extract his head from his ass and quit the childish bull **** he could be a decent WR. -
Good luck selling tickets next year!
CodeMonkey replied to BuffaloWest's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They bought them for the past 12 years so there is no reason to think they won't next season as well. Will the number of season ticket holders go down a little, probably. But don't underestimate two things: 1) The power of the "if we don't support the team they will leave" mentality. Better to have a perpetually ****ty team than no team, etc. 2) The power of the tailgate. Many people care far more about the social experience and/or getting shitfaced and acting like a !@#$ in general than if the team wins or loses. Those people will buy tickets as long as there is a team, regardless of record or team quality. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
CodeMonkey replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right, it's not arm strength. It's throwing mechanics. Watch his arm motion sometime and compare it to accurate passers like Brady and P. Manning and you will see what I mean. -

CodeMonkey replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. He is an ass clown because he continues to do stupid **** that he knows (or at least should know by this point) will hurt his team in the name of getting additional facetime on TV. Of course it is not life or death, but he is getting paid good money, and wants to get paid a LOT more money, to help the team. Not hurt it. Ouch that hurts. You got me there. Well played. -

A coach who is covering for his player in public (like any good coach would do) and a player who is an ass clown. Okie dokey. -

CodeMonkey replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
49 points but at least 14 (if not 21) were on the O. For Fitz to improve on his downfield accuracy he would need to change his throwing motion to come over the top and lose that 3/4 delivery of his. Not likely at this point in his career. -

A Few Thoughts About The Game
CodeMonkey replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
SJ is an ass clown. I would bet you anything Fitz has had more than one conversation with SJ about his bull ****. After all, this is not the first time he has cost the team. But obviously Stevie "Me First" Johnson only cares about SJ. That's all he is and I suspect all he will be. He has improved a lot since FredEX went down though. Yes it can and it is. I look forward to your posts next season! -

Oh good lord. "Me First" comes from the fact that Johnson pre-planned this childish stunt (again) knowing full well it would cost his team 15 yards and give the pats good field position and he simply didn't give a !@#$. He cared only about himself by his "look at me" bull ****, not his team. Get it? -

Depends on the talent level I would think. In Johnsons case between the choking and the childish behavior I think it would affect his bottom line. But who knows. -

This a million times over. Ramius it is hard for me to believe that anyone could see this as a ego move on Gaileys part. Not sure what you are thinking. -

Doesn't matter even a little what was on the shirt. He knew what would happen if he did it. His team was rolling when he did it and threatened to end the game early. He went ahead anyway and hurt the team proving once and for all that it is all about him and not the team. He can run a good route, but chokes on the big ones and acts like a child repeatedly. My hope is the Bills can get a couple good FA WR's and not have to sign "Me First", but I doubt that's possible. Particularly with Buddy "build through the draft" Nix.
