  1. All Fitz needs to do is morph into Matthew Stafford, or at least a QB worth his current salary. And as others have said, what Gailey needs to do is not put the game all in Fitz's hands. He just isn't up to it.
  2. Festering or stale, it flat out sucks ass.
  3. DJ managed 7-9 all 3 of his years and he was run out of town. Gailey so far only aspires to 7-9. There is only one measure that counts my robotic friend, and that's the team record. And the team record under ChaNix thus far flat out sucks. And I hate you all for making me look at the teams records. Because there I saw the Bills have had exactly 1 winning season this century, and that was under Mularkey. !@#$ me that is depressing. Talk about a festering gob of schitt.
  4. The Bills are out and tackle football bores me in general, so I won't watch or care until the superbowl. And even then, it's just for the party.
  5. Arguing over the use of the word abysmal aside, to me 4-12 and 6-10 is a festering gob of schitt.
  6. 3 or more years averaging 5 wins a season like his first 2 years. The Bills are between a rock and a hard place here. Not only does getting a new HC probably do more harm than good now, they would be very hard pressed to get anyone better who would accept the job. Just another year in the life of a Bills fan I guess.
  7. That would make sense.
  8. If they can reach a fair contract I believe he can outgrow the childish behavior.
  9. Yeah my wife just texted me asking why they would be marked down so much. I had no answer, so she got one. A Spiller #28 no less. She was at dicks in Rochester BTW.
  10. The one area most people dwell on, particularly after the dirty dozen Bills fans have just endured, is team record. Which is obviously worse than the DJ era so far anyway. No matter how you try and spin it, or what excuses you make, 10-22 !@#$ing blows chunks.
  11. Given the turd he inherited I can't say I don't agree on some level. But he still needs to show he is capable of being a HC and not just a OC. He has not done that to my satisfaction yet. Not quite sold on OC yet either, though this is a lot closer than HC.
  12. I cannot dispute that he is a #1 WR? Depends upon what you mean I guess. I agree completely that he is the best receiver on the Bills as of now. However I would not call any WR that chokes on the big plays, like he has done several times, or feels the need to promote how wonderful he is at the expense of his team, like he has done several times, a "true #1 WR" simply because of the one stat you reference (> 1000 yards in 2 consecutive seasons). As I have said, you obviously feel differently which is your right of course.
  13. Yeah that would be fair and make the most sense.
  14. Can't argue with your general theme at all. Pay him what he is worth.
  15. I said it wasn't that difficult for him given the circumstances that I spelled out. If a team is pass happy like the Bills have been under Gailey, the top receiver is bound to rack up a significant number of yards. I look at everything however, not just that one stat. And when I do, SJ does not stand out to me as an "elite" or #1 WR. You opinion may of course vary. It takes more than just that one stat for me is all I'm saying.
  16. It's not all that hard for SJ to get 1000 yards if you think about it. SJ is the best WR that the Bills have. SJ is a favorite target of Fitz. Gailey abandoned the run at or before halftime in many many games and loved that 5-wide pistol thing. FredEX went down, making Gailey even MORE pass happy. Given these facts, if SJ did not get 1000 yards I would be surprised. If he was 100% healthy all season (and didn't get himself benched in one game) he might have hit 1500. So if you can get past the 1000 yard thing, look at the rest. His childish behavior cost the team a few times. And he tends to make horrible, unforgivable drops in the potentially game changing plays. True number 1 WRs don't do either of these things.
  17. I disagree with the bolded part completely. In my opinion, SJ is a #2 WR in the NFL. And that has little to do with his adolescent antics and everything to do with his on field performance. He could improve and get over the choking, and he is clearly and absolutely worth keeping, but not worth overpaying for. You build around a QB, or you can build around a feature RB, but I don't see how you can build an offense around any WR, much less SJ. I would like to see SJ remain a Bill, but if he doesn't it won't be an earth shattering loss. There are plenty of good to very good WRs available as shown in other threads (if Nix decides suddenly that FA is an option of course).
  18. It is very simple. The Bills are irrelevant. Nobody except the small legion of Bills fans gives a **** about the team. Once they look like they at least belong in the NFL as a franchise, then the media will think their moves newsworthy. If you remember in September, when they were doing well, you did hear about the Bills. Even the talking heads were talking about them then. Right now, anything the Bills do simply does not matter.
  19. I don't. Maybe a series, MAYBE. But whatever future good might have been accomplished by giving Johnson a timeout would not outweigh the Bills getting into the playoffs.
  20. Interesting. Not what the guy calling our house said, but that was last season. I suspect what he means is current holders get first crack at the seats, then after some date they become fair game. Which is a very reasonable policy.
  21. I don't think Johnsons stupidity in NE altered the Bills plans in any way. They have a price in mind that they are willing to go to, and using the franchise tag would exceed that price. The question remains as to if some other team might pay more for him than the Bills are willing to pay.
  22. Broncos: 12% Ravens: 4% Texans: 12% Jills: 72% Yeah I'd say so
  23. Very true, it is a buyers market right now to be sure. A ticket rep calls our house monthly all year, more frequently in the summer trying to sell us seasons. If all you want is a pair and are willing to pay for them you will get "good" seats in the lower bowl no problem.
  24. According to the ushers there, a lot of the heated seats don't work and the company that made them is no longer in business. So even if you spring for club seats you may end up with a cold ass (unless you spend all game inside)
  25. I can't imagine any way possible the Jets could get P. Manning and still wind up under the cap.
