  1. Zero effect. It's a freaking game. Miss work due to a freaking game? Surely you jest
  2. Can't speak for everyone, but my interest in football itself has been in decline for years. I only watch the Bills now. So the superbowl is a big yawn to me any more.Even at the parties I go to, very few people actually watch the game for the majority of the time. One commercial I thought might be good, I watched the other day (released early, wtf), the chic from sex in the city and "the dude". ***** stupid.
  3. I can't stand her when she does her bizarre stuff or sings pop. But find some of her stuff on youtube where it's just her and a piano, holy crap that girl has some pipes.
  4. Agreed about the corpses. Enough tales from the crypt shows. The NFL needs younger viewers to stay sustainable. Agree 100% about Gaga. Amazing talent. Bruno Mars ... not so much IMO. Though he is popular.
  5. That's the only reason the TV will be tuned to that channel Sunday ... my wife likes them, and my daughter LOVES them
  6. That's a very good way to state it. I'm not a fan of the game any more, just of the Bills. So I won't be watching, but the TV will be on during halftime for my daughter to watch Maroon 5
  7. The TV will be on for the first half probably with no audio. My daughter is a huge maroon 5 fan and wants to watch that. After that performance it will likely be off. Not because of the pats, or bad calls or anything else. I just have little to no interest in football any more except for the Bills.
  8. Agree. They could also tell the on field ref where to spot the ball. I always chuckle when it's 3rd or 4th and 1, run right up the gut so it's just a sea of humanity and the refs can't even see the ball carrier. They spot the ball almost randomly, then bring out the chains to see if it's a first down. Hilarious
  9. If the Bills were given a do-over, knowing what they know now, I would expect them to take Mahomes.
  10. No. That's why you have floating holidays and vacation. Most Americans don't watch, much less over indulge during it. No offense to the OP, but the idea makes no sense. Fixed it for you. The BIGGEST SPORTING EVENT IN THE WORLD. is the world cup final.
  11. Wouldn't it be pretty foolish for people who had seasons for some or all of the decades of suck to give them up now when they can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (and for once it isn't the headlight of a oncoming train)?
  12. You don't go for the game, you would go for the event. The game is pure *****.
  13. Josh was at the Sabres game last night. The only Bill they showed (that I saw, at least). That's a positive thing, even if he was in a box
  14. I think he is more likely to have a 300 yard running game than passing, at least at his current proficiency level.
  15. Wow, that's a interesting and bold take on the situation.
  16. No it hasn't. What we knew going in was very strong arm, can run, accuracy issues. And that's exactly what we saw this season.
  17. Blood sacrifice for the fans. A coach can't make up for having zero talent due to GM mismanagement.
  18. How would you have felt if he had wrecked his shoulder doing that? There are things you want your [hopefully] franchise QB to do, and things you do not. Two things in the NOT category are the player hurdling he did at the beginning of the season, and making that tackle in a meaningless game that for all practical purposes had already been decided by that point. He has learned to slide and hasn't hurdled anyone lately. He is a charged up rookie that has learned this season, but has some more learning to do.
  19. I don't really care .... except for not the pats.
  20. It didn't make it to the LOS I believe, so yeah deserved. I like his tenacity about not losing yards, but he scared me a lot this year with the bad decisions like that IG yesterday and the jump balls in the middle of the field. Sometimes, the wise move is to take the sack. I attribute most if not all of his bonehead plays to being a rookie. I expect far less boneheaded plays next season and beyond.
  21. Why would the fins make a decision based on a meaningless game. Fired or not, that decision was made before today.
  22. Couldn't possibly care less. No significant injuries. Rest the old man Shady. Nice weather for those attending. Last time this season watching a commercial free game over pizza with the family, which is sad.
  23. That's pretty minimal. I'd say with 3 OL, 1 WR, and 1 RB along with as you said, Foster and particularly Allen very much improved they can be very competitive. The good news is that even through the draft OL and RB can compete at the NFL level immediately. Even the right WR has a good shot.
  24. Hmmm. I remember an awful lot of 10-6 and legit playoffs posts. A lot more than 6-10. With the 6-10 posters getting labeled negative nancy's etc.
  25. Sadly, draft position is not a guarantee of success. It is possible that he grows into it. He has the size, arm strength, and seemingly the work ethic. Like I said, we'll see.
