Nothing disingenuous about it. You think 3-0 against 0-9 teams is a sign of greatness it seems,. I do not. They don't need to beat NE, nor did I say they needed to. But playing against a quality opponent will show what they are more than beating bottom feeders. You don't agree, that's fine.

Multiple stupid plays. The fumble which could have gone the other way without some good luck, multiple ill advised passes. Look, he is MUCH better than last year, But still makes rookie mistakes. He is still young and plenty time to improve even more. Opponents could be 0-9 after today. Next week they play somebody for the first time, and do they ever. . That will be a big test of everyone, coaches and players. Then we should have a much clearer picture.

If the Giants lose, and they currently are, that would make the combined record of the Bills opponents 0-9 I believe. I'd hold on the superbowl reservations But they are beating the bottom feeders (albeit struggling) instead of being a bottom feeder which is very pleasant. The Pats game should show where they really are as a team.

You and me both my brother. I have 2 of my kids not living at home now, one is local and comes over for "dinner with the Bills" still. The other is at college way out of town. She watches along with us via my mediacenter software on her laptop at school while she eats and phones on speaker. So the tradition has managed to stay alive so far

I get what you mean and to each his/her own. But between the slowness of the game, and the interminable dead time for commercials, endless stream of penalties, etc., I don't know how it would hold interest for 3.5+ hours if it wasn't your team. Full disclosure, we don't watch Bills games live except for 4pm starts (and even then, only sometimes). We watch later with commercials and halftime removed. 75-90 minutes which is reasonable for a game with a clock time of 60 minutes.

Second half of the season, wins and losses haven't mattered much for the bills most of the past decade. But yes we'd still watch. We enjoy it as a family. We don't get torn up if they lose (the Bills have been largely irrelevant to the league for my kids entire lives) but always enjoy a win. It's a sport, and entertainment. I guess we treat it as such is the best way I can describe it. Well, not a gambler anyway Look at that Jets game for example. One player gets hurt and the defense goes to complete crap and lose the game they were winning comfortably. . I'd have far too many ulcers if I was gambling on NFL games. Far too volatile.

It amazes me that people still watch football if "their team" isn't playing. I lost interest in tackle football at least 5 years ago. I watch the Bills with the family every week. The rest of the day, Thursdays and Mondays, the game might be on in the background if we are home and there isn't something more interesting on another channel. But if the Bills moved I probably wouldn't watch football at all and doubt it would even be noticed much less missed except for the Bills games.

Probably both to be fair. The injury is the reason, IMO, the Bills came out with the W. But the adjustment made was both timely and spot on. Lets also not forget the Jests left 4 easy points on the field. Think the Jests GM is scouring the league for a kicker? Maybe that woman soccer player will get a tryout

It really came down to two things: 1) Mosley going down. He was killing the Bills all day. As soon as he went out the Bills ran the ball all the way to a TD. This, to me, is what decided the game. 2) The Jets FG kicker leaving 4 easy points on the field (a case can be made 3 were due to the holder). Always good to win on opening day against a division rival. 4 turnovers should mean an immediate loss. But the Bills D kept them in the game and the O was able to capitalize on the injury. The O still looks to need a fair amount of work. Allen also delivered it at warp speed. He was better at that yesterday than he was last year. But still a work in progress apparently.

Out all summer on concussion protocol, his 4th documented one in the NFL. Second round draft pick a few years back. IR late season 2017 for a apparently recurring foot issue. To make that statement your crystal ball gets better reception than mine

Can't judge anything by preseason really, but it's all there is. Tough to declare the O-Line better in that environment as well. We'll see very soon. But at the very least, they shouldn't be any worse.

Yeah I can see where you are coming from. I just didn't see anything in preseason that leads me to declare the O-Line is markedly better. That, IMO. will decide this season for the Bills one way or the other. Well that and Allen taking a nice big step up

Agreed. I do miss Kenny's tailgate. But not the in stadium experience. In a perfect world I'd live close enough to go to the tailgate and head home to catch the game.
