  1. Run, run, then run some more. If McCoach figured something out from the last crap weather game (hopefully, but unlikely), adjust at halftime.
  2. Not just older folks, anyone. But I 100% agree. Go through that crap or enjoy the game watching in comfort with friends and family is such a simple decision for me. People can suffer if they like though, whatever floats your boat. I went to the Bills/Browns Monday night blizzard game years ago. Stupid decision, but I did it. Regretted it then, but not now.
  3. Given the weather, not sure about the outcome at all. Look at the last "Bills Weather" game between those 2 teams recently. But I agree about the impending ticket price freefall. Someone offered me club seats today at his cost ($700 for a pair). I have no interest in going at any price, my warm dry couch, quality reasonably priced beer, and going to bed after the tv is turned off is infinitely better IMO, but my wife does. Her response "why when I will be able to get better seats for less than $100 Saturday". And she's right. There is that, too cold to rain or even snow
  4. The Bills made the choice for no dome. It is what it is. This Bills team is not built for "Bills weather" like teams of the past. We can only hope the Bills fare better than the last time they played the Pats in "Bills Weather". Now that sports gambling apps are legal in NY, I know people betting against the Bills this weekend because of the weather. Getting +175 moneyline on the pats.
  5. I don't get it, not even a little. To me its entertainment and a distraction. A hobby if you will. If in general in makes you happy, rock on
  6. Simple formula. More regular season games means more ticket and concession revenue. And the big one, a larger TV contract. Wear and tear on players, you don't really think they give a crap about that do you? Just adds drama. $$$$$$$$ pure and simple $$$$$$$$
  7. Come on man, ruin the weekend?
  8. This. Fing NFL. Now we have to watch live and have to sit through the interminable commercials.
  9. Buffalo is not getting a super bowl dome or no dome. It doesn't meet the other criteria such as hotel rooms, and it's not anywhere near sexy enough for the NFLs showcase event. A dome is for the comfort of the fans, nothing more. There is no reason for a fan base to need to be "hard". Its a simple matter of selling tickets. More tickets would be sold if people were indoors, particularly late season games when the team is not very good.
  10. His running is a big part of the offense. Too big IMO. Nearly impossible to defense effectively. But one day it is bound to catch up with him. And if that happens, the Bill offense fall off a cliff as Allen effectively IS the Bills offense.
  11. To me it came down to 2 main reasons the Bills came out on top: 1) Josh Allen >>>>>>>>>>>> Brady 2.0. At least right now, but we remember what Josh looked like his rookie season as well. 2) Bills secondary > Pats secondary. For example the Pats secondary dropped a couple balls that should have been intercepted. Bills secondary as usual took good advantage of their opportunities. Oh and I almost forgot, McKenzie was a freaking beast
  12. So then it was difficult to predict correctly?
  13. For me it's entertainment. When the Bills win, I'm happy. When they don't, I'm disappointed. But that's the extent of it. It certainty does not affect me much past the game, and certainly not days or weeks after. Reading this thread I actually consider myself lucky.
  14. Doesn't matter who is in the SB, people watch. Brady versus Hoodie isn't going to make the NFL any more money than any other game. And the refs don't make any more or less money no matter what. Your conspiracy theory is worse than QAnon.
  15. Geez the game hasn't even started yet and the zebra blaming has begun.
  16. Not even close to judgement day. If the Bills win, he is safe. If the Bills lose, the excuse will be covid and he is still safe.
  17. Reportedly unvaccinated which puts him out for 10 days according to local reporters.
  18. It's over 3 hours now. OT and it pushes 4. I had to resort to technology to get it down to between 2 and 2.5 hours. I use media center software that I wrote a plugin for to skip commercials. So I record the Bills games, the system takes about 40 minutes to detect the commercials automatically after the recording ends, then when we watch it skips the commercials automatically. Works out perfectly for 1pm starts. Go do other things Sunday afternoons, come back home and watch the commercial free Bills game in 2 to 2.5 hours (manually skip halftime) while having a family dinner. Not ideal for everyone, but it works for me
  19. That would certainly change the dynamic wouldn't it
  20. Why should they change? Stadiums are full, TV revenue is great. Merch revenue is great. No reason to change. Follow the money baby.
  21. Make the rules significantly less anal. If it didn't interrupt the game for a false start every time a lineman has a muscle spasm or farted they could afford more challenges. Or if one of the offensive players was 6 inches back off the line more than the rules allow and all the other worthless rules they have now. Defensive or offensive holding away from the play and has no involvement in the outcome of the play, the list is nearly endless. PI's and things are judgement calls. You would need to alter the rules to take the judgement out of it. Way easier said than done. Ultimately as long as humans are involved, there will be errors. Computer vision and other technology is strong enough now a lot could be done that way if the NFL wanted to. For example, soccer now has a chip in the ball so they can review if the ball crossed the line and is a goal or not. One could certainly be put in a football so a accurate spot could be made on every play (in conjunction with computers looking at video to determine at what precise time the player was down, or change the rule of when a player is down) or if it breached the goal line. I mean just think about how that is done now. On every play, a ref estimates where the ball was when the knee hit. Then they bring out chains sometimes ... CHAINS! ... to measure to see if after all the estimates, its a first down. I chuckle when I see them bring the chains out and say its short of a first down by one chain link The NFL is still in the 1950's
  22. Serious question to all people who think the NFL games are rigged by officials being told to, "push to an outcome", keep it close, make one team win, and all of the other thoughts expressed in this thread. If you truly believe this is going on week in and week out, why in the world would you continue to watch and be a fan of a team or the sport? For example, when I was a little kid I used to watch WWE (called I think WWF at the time). As soon as I figured out it was all acting, I stopped watching and haven't watched since. Why would you continue to watch or care about the NFL in this case?
  23. OK, so lets say this is what happened. What was the purpose of it? What perceived benefit was there to keeping the game close, then letting the Bills win? Also, who "tells" the refs to do things like this? The NFL? Vegas? Assuming you think this has been going on for many seasons, do you believe that in all that time in all those games there wouldn't be 1 disgruntled NFL-employee/Vegas-employee/Ref that would blow the whistle? I mean no offense, but I see zero logic at all in your statement.
  24. The problem is when McCoach does it, and he has in several games this season, he gets so distracted with it that he loses site of what is happening during the game as he is arguing.
  25. And conveniently forgetting Diggs hold on the defenders jersey collar as well. It was a correct no-call IMO. Look, the Bills lost another heartbreaker (if they didn't break your heart, they wouldn't be the Bills after all). And people here LOVE to blame the zebras every time they lose. But the fact of the matter is, there is no anti-Bills bias in the officiating. That happening every single game of every single season for the past 50 years as people here suggest week in and week out is completely asinine. The Bills lose primarily for two reasons: Lack of execution. In game coaching (clock management, play calling, halftime adjustments). Though as Bills games go, this game was better than most in this regard. The rules in the NFL are so anal that so long as humans are involved in making calls, there will be mistakes. Die hard fans of any team will tend to see/remember only the ones against "their team", it's human nature. But the every week whining and crying about officiating here is tiresome. The answer is simple, the Bills need to play better, players and coaches. And not rely on Josh to be 90% of their offense when playing competent opponents.
